- To protect against fire, electrical shock, and injury, do not immerse the cord, plugs, charging base, or unit in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Plug the cord into the wall outlet only when the switch is in the off position. To disconnect, turn the switch to off, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.

- Scalding may occur if the lid is opened during the heating cycle.
- Ensure the lid is securely closed before serving any beverages.
- Do not set a hot container on a wet or cold surface.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way or force it into the outlet. This could result in injury or electric shock.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
POWER CORD SAFETY TIPS
- Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
- To insert the plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into the outlet.
- To disconnect the appliance, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.
- Before each use, inspect the power cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, please contact Chefman® Customer Support for assistance.
- Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.

-
To rinse the pot of any packing debris, boil and discard a pot
of water (see How to Use, below). -
Never immerse the kettle, its base, the cord, or the plug in water or any other liquids. The electrical connections and the On/Off switch must never come into contact with water or any other liquids.
-
Read all instructions and follow them carefully.
HOW TO MAKE TEA WITH THE TEA INFUSER
The Cordless Electric Kettle makes it simple to brew your favorite tea with the built-in infuser. Since the infuser is removable, the kettle is also ideal for instant or pour-over coffee, instant oatmeal, and more. With simple one- touch operation, water comes to a boil in just minutes.
-
Wedge the power cord into the notch on the 360° swivel base so that the base sits flat. Place the base on a flat, sturdy surface away from water splashes and any sources of heat. Plug the cord into an outlet.
-
Remove the inner tea infuser lid from the kettle and slide the tea infuser out from the underside of the lid.
Remove the kettle from the base if attached. Fill with the desired amount of water, between the MIN fill line (0.5 L) and the MAX fill line (1.7 L). NOTE: Do not use the kettle to heat liquids other than water. -
Fill the infuser with either loose tea (about 2 teaspoons per cup) or tea bags based on the amount of water you’re heating. (Do not insert the infuser into the kettle until the water in the kettle has come to a boil.)
-
Put the inner lid, without the infuser, back on the kettle.
-
Place the kettle on the base. Ensure that both the kettle and base are steady on the surface.
NOTE: If the kettle is not fully seated on the base, it will not turn on. -
Press the On/Off switch to turn the kettle on. Blue LED lights will illuminate around the base of the kettle. Small bubbles will begin to form as the water heats, then larger ones as it comes to a boil. Once the water boils, the kettle and the LED lights will automatically turn off.
-
Once the water has boiled, carefully remove the inner lid.
CAUTION: Hot steam may escape. Carefully slide the rim of the tea infuser under the tabs on the underside of the inner lid, and snap it securely into place. Lower the infuser into the kettle and press the inner lid securely back into place.
WARNING: Use extreme caution when adding the infuser as the kettle and water will be very hot. -
Let tea steep according to directions or as you like, then enjoy.
CAUTION: If you wish to remove the tea infuser from the lid while it is still hot (to prevent oversteeping), be sure to handle the infuser with oven mitts. Otherwise, wait until the unit has completely cooled before removing the tea infuser.
HOW TO HEAT WATER WITHOUT MAKING TEA
Follow the directions for making tea with the infuser but leave the tea and
infuser out of the kettle. Use hot water as desired.
NOTE: When the kettle is brand new, the first pot of water boiled may have an unusual taste, which is why we recommend discarding it and boiling a fresh pot. If this problem continues, fill the kettle with water and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Bring the water to a boil, let cool, and pour out. Rinse with lukewarm water.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION: If the kettle starts to heat without enough water in it, it will automatically turn off to avoid potential damage.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING YOUR KETTLE
The Cordless Electric Kettle is easy to clean. Simply follow the directions below.
-
Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely.
-
Gently wipe down the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth or paper towel.
-
Clean the interior of the kettle as needed by removing the infuser and carefully washing the inside with soapy water. Rinse the inside of the kettle thoroughly.
WARNING: Never immerse the kettle, its base, the cord, or the plug in water or any other liquids.
IMPORTANT: The electrical connections and the On/Off switch must never come into contact with water or any other liquids. -
Dry completely.
GENERAL CLEANING NOTE
Reheating tea in your kettle may result in a bronze-color tea stain appearance on the kettle. This is caused by tea residue that adheres when reheated at high temperatures. To avoid tea-staining, do not reheat a pot of tea once infused and always rinse the inside of your kettle before each brew. To remove the bronze-color staining,
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
add a small amount of food-grade white vinegar to a fresh kettle full of water and boil. After boiling, allow to cool, discard the water, and thoroughly wash and dry the kettle before your next use.
HOW TO REMOVE MINERAL DEPOSITS
Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate on the inside of the kettle and
cause discoloration or affect the taste of the boiled water. To remove the
deposits, descaling is recommended at least once a month, or more regularly if
your water is very hard. Use a commercial descaling solution or use this white
vinegar method:
Fill the kettle one-quarter full with water. Add enough white vinegar to fill
about halfway. Turn the kettle on and bring to a boil. After the water comes
to a boil and the kettle shuts off, let stand for 1 hour. Empty the kettle and
rinse with water 5 to 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
