Before assembly
Per pocket wagon you need 2 displays, which are mounted next to the hitch on the outer walls! For a double pocket wagon there are a total of 4 displays! The displays are in connection with the sensor inside the hitch and indicate its status (kingpin inside hitch/outside hitch, locking closed/open) via colored LEDs.
Remove button blockage
The white/transparent button block is a transport lock and must be removed before use/assembly! Remove the blockage and put the black rubber over the surface.
Recommended installation equipment
- Drill with 6.5 mm or 7 mm drill
- Rivdom Two2 riveting machine
- 2 pcs 6.4 mm (1/4 inch) rivets Monobolt 02711-00824; 316 grade/A4
Riveting the sensor on the side wall of the car
Before mounting the device in the desired location, you must ensure that the
following conditions are met:
- Make sure that drilling holes at the selected mounting point does not weaken the mechanical structure of the wagon. If you have any doubts, contact the manufacturer of the wagon to determine suitable assembly locations.
- Make sure that no electrical, hydraulic or ventilation pipes or functional installations of the wagon are punctured by the holes. Such installations can be intentionally placed on the back of construction beams to protect them from damage.
Wear the necessary personal protective equipment throughout the assembly to avoid injury.
Mounting of the displays on the wagon
The kingpin display has two installation holes in its housing, which are intended for rivets with a diameter of 6.4mm for attachment to the wagon. The borehole spacing is 137mm. Do not drill the hole for the rivet through the housing
Each Kingpin Kit has 2 displays, which are connected to the respective Kingpin sensor. Therefore, the two displays must be mounted on both sides of the wagon on the side walls next to the support bracket. See sample photos:
The installation location on the side wall must be chosen in such a way that no inscriptions on the wagon are concealed. The distance to the sensor must not be greater than 3-4m.
Maintenance instructions
The device is maintenance-free, the battery cannot be replaced.
Replacement of a display
Remove the old display from the wagon by drilling out the rivets and using the app to initiate the replacement process (“More Options” -> “Kingpin Display Replacement”).
Decommissioning of an old or defective display
Devices taken out of service must be returned to Nexxiot AG. The shipping address can be found on our website. Nexxiot AG takes care of proper recycling.
