Charging Instruction

NOTE: The headband cannot connect to a mobile device while charging Before using the FocusCalm headband for the first time, connect the attached USB cable to a 5V power adapter (not included) to charge. Please allow 2 hours for the headband to reach full charging capacity. When charging, the ambient temperature must be between 34 °F 112°F (1°C~45°C). The forehead indicator light will be green when the battery is full.

Operation

Preparation Before Use

1. Turn on Bluetooth in your mobile device settings.
2. If not already completed, scan the QR code on the FocusCalm package by using the camera app on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions to download the FocusCalm app or search “FocusCalm” in the app store.
3. Open the FocusCalm app on your mobile device and complete account registration by following the instructions in the app.
4. Before each use, wipe the 3 sensors with a wet cloth to ensure good connection and accurate measurement of your brainwave signals.

Instruction for First Use

1.  Power-on: Press and hold the power button until the FocusCalm headband vibrates.
2. Waiting for pairing: After powering on, the headband will automatically enter pairing mode, and the forehead indicator light will flash blue rapidly.
3. Check the Bluetooth name on the headband, as shown in figure.
4.  Select the Blueto oth name shown in the app that matches the name found on the headband. Tap to pair the device.
5.  Put the FocusCalm headband on and ensure the three sensors are near the center of your forehead. (Note that the correct orientation places the power button on the right side of your head). The headband will vibrate twice when proper placement is achieved.
6.  Power-off Press and hold the power button until the headband vibrates to power-off.

Instructions for Use After Initial Headband Pairing

1.  When the headband is powered on, the forehead indicator light shows it is waiting for a connection (pulsing blue slowly).
2.  When the app on the mobile device is opened, it will automatically connect to the paired headband.
3.  Wear the headband and ensure the three sensors are positioned in the center of your forehead. (Note that the correct orientation places the power button on the right side of your head.)

Operation Instruction for Switching Connected Mobile Device

1. Pairing Hold down the power button until the headband vibrates to enter pairing mode, and the forehead indicator light flashes blue rapidly.
2. Check the Bluetooth name on the headband at the location indicated in the figure.
3. Select the Bluetooth name on the appp that matches the name found on the headband. Tap to pair the device.
4.  Put the headband on and ensure the three sensors are positioned near the center of your forehead. (Note that the correct orientation places the power button on the right side of your head). The headband will vibrate twice after proper placement.
5.  Power-off Press and hold the power button until the headband vibrates to power-off.

Precaution

Bluetooth Connection:
Headband cannot be found:

1. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device (See your device’s instructions).
2. Ensure that the headband is powered on, and is waiting for a Bluetooth connection. Please see 4.4 for how to set the head band to “waiting for Bluetooth connection” mode.
3. Open the app, tap the Refresh button.

Headband l0cated but cannot connect (Bluetooth name available on the mobile device but tailed in pairing after tapping) Ensure that the head band is waiting for Bluetooth connection. Please see 4.4 for how to set the headband to “waiting for Bluetooth connection mode.

1. NOTE : The headband will not successfully connect to your mobile device if worn in the wrong orientation.
2. Please take remove the headband from your head and ensure the Power button is placed on the right side of your head. (FocusCalm logo should be right-side-up). Replace the headband on your head in the correct orientation.

Only use the accessories/fittings designated by the manufacturer. Please use the USB cable supplied with the product, and use standard 5V adaptor.
Warning/ Caution:

1. When not in use, it is recommended to place EEG equipment in the carry case for protection.
2.  Please observe the basic precautions for using this product, as follows: Please read the instructions betore using the EEG equipment.
3. Please use the EEG equipment in an environment under the temperature range between
4. 10*C and 50°C, and ensure the environment temperature range between 1’C and 45°c for charging
5. The EEG equipment shall be kept away rom water, rain, liquid or snow.
6. There is a risk of fire or injury if using power supply or charger not recommended or sold Dy the battery pack manutacturer.
7. Do not use damaged or refitted EEG equipment.
8. Do not remove or squeeze the EEG equipment or throw it into a fire or place it at a high temperature. EEG device in fire or under a temperature above 100C may cause explOsions.
9. Only qualified maintenance personnel is allowed to perform maintenance.
10. Do not refit this product without authorization.
11. Please use this product only in the power conditions (such as UL, CSA, VDE, CCC) approved by relevant departments and conforming to local regulatory requirements.
12. Please power off the EEG equipment if it is overheated, and contact customer service.
13. If you are under the age of 18, you shall read this agreement accompanied by your legal guardians, and pay special attention to the use terms for minors.

Notes:

1. if the user is a minor under the age of 18, he/she shall read this agreement carefully under the guardianship, guidance and consent of the guardian before using the product.
2. The minor user and his/her guardian understand that it the minor violates laws and regulations or the content of this agreement, the minor and his/her guardian shall bear all the possible legal responsibilities arising therefrom in accordance with the law.
