Intended use

The Beurer MM50 FFP2 mask (particle-filtering half-mask) is an item of personal protective equipment (PPE) for use in the context of occupational safety and is intended to protect the wearer of the FFP2 mask from potentially damaging particles and droplets as well as both liquid and solid aerosols. The FFP2 mask filters both the air you inhale and the air you exhale. Alt-hough the mask is primarily designed for self-protection, it not only protects you as the wearer but also those around you.

  • Before each use, check the FFP2 mask for external damage (e.g. tears or holes). If the FFP2 mask is damaged, DO NOT use the FFP2 mask.
  • Materials in the FFP2 mask that come into contact with the skin may cause allergic reactions in people with sensitive skin.

  • If the FFP2 mask is saturated with moisture or you suspect contamination, replace the FFP2 mask immediately.
  • Do NOT use or pass on FFP2 masks if you have been in the vicinity of infectious individuals with significant exposure to aerosols.
  • Do not wear the FFP2 mask over your mouth only. Make sure that the FFP2 mask covers both mouth and nose correctly (see the section titled Use).
  • When wearing the FFP2 mask, ensure that the metal clip is always at the top. Do not put the FFP2 mask on upside down, as this prevents the protective seal from being effective.
  •  Do not wear the FFP2 mask around the neck as this may contaminate the chin and neck area.
  • Sealing of the FFP2 mask cannot be guaranteed for persons with beards or scarred skin in the area of the foam strip.
  • The outside of the used FFP2 mask may potentially become contaminated. Avoid contaminating the wearer via the outside of the mask, especially on the face.

  • Do not modify the FFP2 mask and do not add or omit any parts
  • A mask marked “NR” must not be used for more than one shift.
  • In the event of aerosol exposure, minimum FFP2 masks are required for the individual providing treatment.
  • Fit the nose clips of the FFP2 mask to your nose. When doing so, ensure that the nose clip of the FFP2 mask sits firmly on the nose in order to guarantee that the mask is sealed and so that no exhaled air can escape upwards.
  • To ensure a tight fit for the FFP2 mask, always unfold the FFP2 mask fully.
  • Make sure that the securing straps of the FFP2 mask are correctly positioned, as otherwise, it is not possible to achieve a seal.
