Introduction

USARemote car key fob is a replacement part, which is required in case the original key fob is lost or damaged. The car key fob is a small handheld device which is used to control the locking and unlocking of your device remotely and keyless. When you press any button on the key fob, a radio signal having a short range is transmitted, this signal is a uniquely coded signal. The signal is received by the received present in the car, which responds to the command which is mostly either to lock or unlock the doors.

The USARemote car key fob comes in compact black enclosure and features a total of 6 buttons which can be used to carry out the various operations. Two of the buttons are dedicated to lock and unlock the doors of the car. One button is for opening the trunk of the car and the other is to close it. The button present at the top is used for starting the car. The red button with the speaker sign is the panic button which when pressed results in the continuous beeps of the car. PROGRAMIMING INSTRUCTIONS

Use this Procedure for Vehicles with Driver Information Center Buttons This information s in your Owner’s Manual in the Drivers Information Center Section.

  1. Insert Key and turn to ON position so you can access Driver Information Center
  2. Press the vehicle information button until PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays.
  3. Press the set/reset button until REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE displays.
  4. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the keyless remote at the same time for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the remote is programmed.
  5. To program additional remotes at this time repeat step
  6.  This vehicle can have a maximum of eight remotes programmed.
  7. To exit programming mode turn the key off and remove the key. Test remote(s)

Use this Procedure for Vehicles without Drivers Information Center Buttons

To access this display, the vehicle must be in Park (P) with the key in the on position (as far as you can go without cranking engine)

  1. Press the trip odometer reset stem until RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays
  2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for three seconds. The message REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE will display
  3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first keyless remote at the same time for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the remote is programmed.
  4. To program additional remotes at this time repeat step 3. This vehicle can have a maximum of eight remotes programmed.
  5. To exit programming mode turn key off and remove key. Test remote(s).
