The TNVTEC car play adapter is a wireless carplay adapter that is compatible with more than 98% of vehicles. The carplay adapter uses Bluetooth and 5GHz WIFI module transmission, which ensures a smooth and steady connection. This also allows the carplay adapter to have a sensitive and timely response. It is capable of carrying out a number of operations such as playing music, getting navigation, using Siri, and supports voice control, phones calls and messages. It connects to your car very rapidly in about 7 -14 seconds. It also supports online upgrades. It is compatible with Ford/Toyota/Honda/Chia/Chevrolet/Jeep/Hyundai/Lincoln/GMC (2017-2022)/Peugeot/Nissan/Silverado/Cadillac. It also works with smartphones and is compatible with iPhone 6s+, however, it doesn’t support Android phones.

How to Setup and Connect the CarPlay Wireless Adapter

Step 1
Turn on Bluetooth and the WLAN functions on your smartphone. -
Step 2
Connect the adapter to your car. Using the provided USB data cable connects the adapter to the USB port of the car and activator. Press the App button on your car. -
Step 3
When the Smartbox interface is displayed on the screen of the car, go to the Bluetooth settings of your car and search for “Smartbox-XXXX”. Allow Sync for connection.
How to upgrade the system?
- Connect the wireless carplay adapter to the USB power adapter, instead of connecting it to the USB data port of the car stereo.
- Turn on the WIFI of your iPhone.
- Connect to the WIFI device named “smartBox_xxxx”.
- Enter the password “88888888” to connect to the WIFI.
- Go to safari and type the IP address 192.168.1.101
- Once on the IP page, you can download the firmware into your iPhone.
- Keep the connection to Smartbox-XXXX until the upgrade is completed.
- It takes about 3 to 4 minutes the upgrading the new software.
- The green and orange light will continuously blink until the upgrade has been completed.
- Once the upgrade is completed, forget the network to connect the adapter to your car.
