HOW IT WORKS

HOW TO CONNECT TO PC

HOW TO WEAR
- If you are wearing a T-shirt, the right place to put it is right below the mouth, on the collar, using the clip.
- If you are wearing a soft T-shirt, you will notice that when you put it on, it is going to pull underneath your shirt.
- Bring the wire behind your back, over the shoulder and that way shoulder kind of holds up that wire and holds up all of that weight so that the microphone on the collar is not going to be turning down to the ground.
HOW TO PROTECT MICROPHONE
When not in use, always keep your microphone in a plastic bag. Any plastic bag will prevent foam and airborne dust from storage boxes and windscreens from adhering to the capsule. When not in use, cover the microphone with a plastic bag. Always bag the microphone before placing it in its case.
HOW TO CLEAN
- USE 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean mic booms and cables. Use an alcohol wipe to clean the entire mic boom and cable, paying special attention to any locations where there is very thick buildup.
- WASH to clean tiny spaces (if waterproof).
- Wrap each microphone separately.

Will it work with the iPhone X?
Not directly. Your iPhone has an adapter cord in the box for wired headphones into the lightning port. You then should use a Rode SC4 ( https://amzn.to/2EOFxvF )adapter into the Apple adapter for microphone use. Sounds complicated, but it’s really quite simple. I do this for using an iPhone 7+ with a gimbal so that I can use my shotgun mic with the phone. Same holds true for use with this system, but the receiving transmitter is going to be hanging. Not really an issue if you are operating off of a tripod or stationary, but not really for walking around with the phone.
Can I plus this into a smart phone?
So far I have not been able to get any device to recognize it. They all use the built in speakers.
the microphone seems to only work if I hold it in front of my mouth. When I clip it to my shirt it is not picking up my voice. Advice?
This is not an omni-directional mic. It only picks up sound directly in front of the mic. Which makes it very hard when clipped on your shirt because most likely it is pointed away from your mouth a bit.
How long it takes to fully charge the microphone and receiver?
with a 4 amp USB charges it is around an hour and twice that for a 2 amp charger. ALSO I have used the unit live with a USB power source connected and it works fine. the battery on both units survive about 3-4 hours of continued use which is impressive for a unit with this price point and performance.

It is not working for my iPhone 7 with the adapter and I will be returning it. It did not work on an iPhone 5 either.

I don’t know what you school situation is but this is in the description:
“160 ft stable wireless connection” . If you have side by side classrooms using the same mic, perhaps you could set up your equipment to be the farthest away as possible from each other.

As long as you have a mini input it will work.

Hello, will this work paired with my droid and/or pc laptop? I want to record exercise videos be able to hear my voice with music 🙂 thank you!!
The pairing is within the two devices. One is with the microphone and the other device within the picture goes directly into your PC/Droid/Apple. You receive an adapter that allows for “other piece/non microphone”, it is a fork shaped cord for Apple or Droid. I used this microphone with my iPad and it worked, but it did dangle because I had to use the adapter. I think this will work fine with what you plan to do. Just remember that it cannot be an old system, it needs to be up to date. The microphone is very light.
Is this what I could use to get a better audio recording to go along with my video recording (instead of using the video camera audio)?
The audio quality is great. I use it to record a single voice for on-camera and background narration. You can plug directly into the jack on the camera or into a mixer – an adapter may be required. I use a shotgun mic for vocals and groups.

Yes, you just need the adapter for newer iPhones, from the flat port to the round, but that comes with iPhones.

I use it just the way you describe, but my phone is a Samsung Note 5.
