Terminals marked with this symbol carry electrical current of sufficient
magnitude to constitute risk of electric shock. Use only high-quality
professional speaker cables with ¼” TS or twist-locking plugs pre-installed.
All other installation or modification should be performed only by qualified
personnel.

Warning
Please refer to the information on the exterior of bottom enclosure for
electrical and safety information before installing or operating the device.
- Please read and follow all instructions and warnings.
- Keep the apparatus away from water (except for outdoor products).
- Clean only with dry cloth.
- Do not block ventilation openings. Do not install in a confined space. Install only according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Protect the power cord from damage, particularly at plugs and appliance socket.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other (only for USA and Canada). A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from damage, particularly at plugs and appliance socket.
- Use only attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- ****Use only specified carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables. Use caution to prevent tip-over when moving the cart/apparatus combination.
- Unplug during storms, or if not in use for a long period.
- Only use qualified personnel for servicing, especially after damage.
- The apparatus with protective earthing terminal shall be connected to a MAINS socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
- Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- Avoid installing in confined spaces like bookcases.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the apparatus.
- Operating temperature range 5° to 45°C (41° to 113°F).

369 Getting started
Step 1: Getting started
Unpacking
Carefully unpack your 369 unit. Then, inspect the unit carefully for any signs
of damage that may have occurred during transit and notify the courier
immediately if you discover any.
Check the contents of your 369 equipment package. If there are any parts
missing, incorrect or faulty, please contact your local distributor or
Behringer support.
Inside this box, you should find the following items:

Please retain the original packing in case you should need to return the equipment to the manufacturer or supplier, or transport or ship the unit later.
Installation
Before installing and operating this equipment, make sure it is correctly
connected to the protective earth conductor of the mains voltage supply socket
outlet through each mains lead.
Ideally a cool area is preferred, away from power distribution equipment or
other potential sources of interference.
Do not install the equipment in places of poor ventilation. Do not install
this equipment in a location subjected to excessive heat, dust or mechanical
vibration.
Allow for adequate ventilation around the equipment, making sure that its
vents are not obstructed.
Whenever possible, keep the equipment out of direct sunlight.
Power
The internal power supplies are of the switch mode type that automatically
senses the incoming mains voltage and will work where the nominal voltage is
in the range 100 VAC to 240 VAC.
The correct leads for connection in the area to which the unit was shipped are
supplied with the unit.
The equipment should only be plugged into the mains outlets using the supplied
leads.
Make sure the plug fitted on the supplied mains cable is securely fitted to
the mains IEC connector on the unit.
When fitting or removing a plug, always hold the plug itself and never use the
cable, as this may damage it.
Never insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands.

The 369 unit uses the following leads and connectors:

Step 2: Controls
FRONT PANEL
LIMITER SECTIONS

& 15. THRESHOLD – use these controls to set the limiter threshold for channels one and two.
The available range is +4 dBu to +15 dBu in 0.5 dBu steps. -
& 16. RECOVERY – use these controls to set the recovery time when limiting has taken place.
The available times are 50 ms, 100 ms, 200 ms, 800 ms plus two automatic presets which have the ranges 100 ms – 2 s (a1) and 50 ms – 5 s (a2). -
& 17. LIMIT IN – use these switches to switch the limiter function on or off.

& 18. ATTACK – use these switches to set the preset attack time of the limiters. Fast is 2 ms, Slow is 4 ms. COMPRESSOR SECTIONS

& 19. THRESHOLD – use these controls to set the compressor threshold for channels one and two. The available ranges is -20 dBu to +10 dBu in 2 dB steps.

& 20. RECOVERY – use these controls to set the recovery time when compression has taken place. The available range is 100 ms to 1500 ms plus two automatic presets.

& 21. GAIN – use these controls to add make up gain to the compressed signal, the available range is 0 dB to +20 dB in 2 dB steps.

& 22. RATIO – use these controls to set the compression ratios. The available ratios are 1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1,4:1 and 6:1.

& 23. COMPRESSOR IN – use these switches to switch the compressor function on or off.

& 24. ATTACK – use these switches to set the preset attack time of the compressors. Fast is 3 ms, Slow is 6 ms.

& 25. BYPASS – use these switches to bypass the processing for either channel. When a channel is bypassed the input signal feeds directly to the output sockets. Bypass is automatically enabled when the unit is powered down.

MONO/STEREO – use this switch to select MONO mode, where the two channels work independently; or STEREO, where the two side chains are linked together internally, so the amount of gain reduction is always equal in both channels. Controls are not linked together, so the gain reduction will be controlled by whichever channel has the highest gain reduction.

& 27. METERS – these analog meters indicate the gain reduction being applied to either channel, in the range 0 dB to 20 dB.
26. CONTROL – use this switch to select whether the 369 is controlled using its own settings for Bypass and Stereo/Mono (INTERNAL) or by remote control received at socket 32 on the rear panel (EXTERNAL). -
POWER INDICATOR

29. IEC C13 MAINS INLET SOCKET – the 369’s power supply accepts voltages in the range 100 – 240 V at either 50 or 60 Hz.
30. OUTPUTS – the outputs from channels one and two are available on Neutrik™ balanced 3 pin XLRs using MIDAS™ custom output transformers. Maximum output level is > 26 dBu into 600 Ω.
31. INPUTS – the inputs are available on Neutrik™ balanced 3 pin XLRs using custom MIDAS™ custom input transformers. Input impedance is 10 kΩ, which can be changed to 600 Ω by a qualified service technician.
32. TANDEM CONTROL VOLTAGES – use this 15 pin D-sub socket to remote control the Mono/Stereo and Bypass functions (when switch 26 is set to EXTERNAL).

Momentary switch connections are made between pin 4 (+ 5 V) and the relevant
pin. Tally connections are made by wiring an LED between the relevant pin and
pin 1 (Ground).
If you are using more than one 369 unit, then the control voltages on Pins 5
or 9 can be linked between two or more units to enable multi-channel
compression.

Power Connections.
Before plugging the unit into a power socket, please make sure you are using the correct mains voltage for your particular model. Faulty fuses must be replaced with fuses of the same type and rating without exception.
