SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDELINES

Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

  • This device is intended for indoor use only.
  • Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with moisture on or near the device. If moisture does get in or on the device, immediately remove it from its power source and allow it to fully dry before reapplying power.
  • Do not touch the device, the power cord, or any other connected cables with wet hands.
  • Do not place the monitor on an unstable surface where it could fall and cause either personal injury or damage to the monitor and/or other equipment.
  • Do not expose this device to excessive vibration or extreme force, shock, or fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
  • Do not expose this device to excessively high temperatures. Do not place it in, on, or near a heat source, such as a fireplace, stove, radiator, etc. Do not leave it in direct sunlight.
  • Do not block the ventilation holes in the monitor’s casing. Do not place the monitor in a confined space with inadequate ventilation. Periodically check the ventilation holes to ensure they do not become clogged with dust, debris, or nearby items.
  • Do not place or install this device in an area where it can be exposed to excessive amounts of dust, humidity, oil, smoke, or combustible vapors.
  • Use only in a well-ventilated area. Do not use in close, confined spaces.
  • Prior to operation, check the unit and power cord for physical damage. Do not use if physical damage has occurred.
  • Before plugging the unit into a power outlet, ensure that the outlet provides the same type and level of power required by the device.
  • Unplug this device from the power source when not in use.
  • Take care to prevent damage to the power cord. Do not allow it to become crimped, pinched, walked on, or become tangled with other cords. Ensure that the power cord does not present a tripping hazard.
  • Never unplug the unit by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the connector head or adapter body.
  • Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before making any electrical connections.
  • Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.
  • This device has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify this device.
  • Do not leave a single image on the display for a long period of time. Doing so could cause a “burn-in” of the image. It is recommended to use a variable desktop background and to use a screen saver to prevent “burn-in”. Alternatively, ensure that the monitor is powered off for at least 2 hours out of every 12.
  • Keep the original foam packaging material for use when installing or removing the included stand.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Connections

  1. DC: DC barrel connector for connecting the included AC power adapter.

  2. HDMI1: HDMI® input for connecting a video source device.

  3. HDMI2: HDMI input for connecting a video source device.

  4. DP1: DisplayPort® input for connecting a video source device.

  5. DP2: DisplayPort input for connecting a video source device.

  6. EARPHONE: 3.5mm audio jack for connecting headphones, an external amplifier, or a pair of powered speakers.

  7. POWER LED: The POWER LED illuminates solid blue when the monitor is powered on. The POWER LED illuminates solid red when the monitor is in standby mode. The POWER LED flashes red when the monitor is in energy-saving mode.

  8. ROCKER: Use the ROCKER to control the monitor:

  • PRESS: With the monitor powered off, momentarily press the ROCKER to turn the monitor on. With the monitor powered on, press and hold the ROCKER for 3 seconds to turn the monitor off.
  • UP: When a menu is not displayed, push the ROCKER up to cycle through the inputs. When the top level of the OSD menu, the Brightness menu, or the Volume menu is displayed, push the ROCKER up to exit the menu. When a submenu is displayed, push the ROCKER up to return to the previous menu. If editing a value, push the ROCKER up to exit editing and cancel any changes.
  • DOWN: When a menu is not displayed, push the ROCKER down to enter the OSD menu. When the OSD menu is displayed, push the ROCKER down to enter the highlighted submenu or to edit the highlighted option. If editing a value, push the ROCKER down to exit editing and save the changes.
  • LEFT: When the OSD menu is not displayed, push the ROCKER left to display the Brightness adjustment menu. When the OSD menu is 6 displayed, push the ROCKER left to move the highlight left. When editing a value, push the ROCKER left to decrease the value.
  • RIGHT: When the OSD menu is not displayed, push the ROCKER right to display the Volume adjustment menu. When the OSD menu is displayed, push the ROCKER right to move the highlight right. When editing a value, push the ROCKER right to decrease the value.

STAND INSTALLATION

Perform the following steps to install the stand.

  1. Using the three included M4x16 Screws, attach the Stand Base to the Stand Stem.

  2. Spread a blanket or towel on a flat surface, then place the monitor face down on the cushioned surface.

  3. Remove the screws that are holding the protective plate on the back of the monitor, then remove the plate. Place the protective plate in a safe place for future use.

  4. Insert the monitor plate on the stand assembly into the opening on the back of the monitor, then secure it in place using the screws removed in the previous step.
