Introduction

The Vormooi Audio Recorder is a classic metallic blue luster recorder which features a single key for recording. It has a ten-core digital intelligent noise reduction and the ability to filter noise automatically. This recorder is a simple and light weight recorder which can be easily placed in a key ring and carried around. It can also be a USB stick. It comes with headphones which can be used for listening to the recordings. It features a 384 kbps HD stereo, has a battery life of 40 to 50 hours and a recording capacity of 750 hours.

Cautions

  1. Children are forbidden to play the recorder alone, and do not fall and collide with hard objects, otherwise it may cause data loss or other hardware damage of the recorder.
  2. Do not clean the recorder with chemical reagents or cleaning reagents, which will damage the shell of the recorder and corrode it.
  3. It is recommended not to use this recorder when driving a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. Please ensure driving safety.

Indicator light description

  1. Recording: the red indicator flashes 3 times
  2. Playback: Blue light flashing
  3. Standby: the blue indicator is always on
  4. Low power: the red Indicator flashes quickly for about 10 seconds and then automatically shut down
  5. Charging: When charging, the red indicator flashes, when full-charged, the blue light is always on.
  6. Fast forward / fast rewind: use headphones to play MP3 / recording files in the process, long press fast forward / fast rewind process, the blue light flashes rapidly.

Function details

Turn on (ON)
When the headphone is not plugged in, and the switch was on the “OFF”. Toggle the switch to the “ON” to turn on the recorder and start to recording (the indicator light turns from purple light to red light and flashes 3 times)
Tips: When recording, it is recommended keeping a distance of more than 10 feet from the microphone to avoid blasting sound.

Turn off (OFF)
In the recording or playback, toggle the switch to the “OFF ” (the purple light flashes once and turns off) to save the recording and shut down.

Playback
With computer: Use the data cable to connect the recorder to the computer, open the “USB DISK” and enter “RECORD”, select the file you want to play.

Tips: The recording file format is “WAV”. If the player on your computer does not play the wav files, please download another player, such as Windows Media Player.
Note: The GROOVE player that comes with Windows 10 does not support WAV format playback, please refer to the following method to use othermusic players.

With headphone: Toggle the switch to “OFF”, then inserts the headphone, toggle the switch to “ON”, press the play button to play the audio in the recorder.

File transfer
Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connects the recorder to the computer by data cable, a moment later, the computer will recognize it, find “USB DISK”, enter the “RECORD” folder, select files for management.

Recharge
Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port of the recorder, and the other end into the USB port of the charger. The indicator light flashes red when charging, and the charging time is generally about 5 hours to fully charge. When the blue light is on, it means the battery is fully charged.

Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connects the recorder to a computer, enter the “USB DISK”, run the “RECSET.TXT”, change the number after VOR to what you want and save, 0 means turn off, 1-7 means turn on, the smaller the number, the higher of the activation sensitivity, recommend 1~3.

**Recording sensitivity (Gain)

Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connects the recorder to the computer, enter the “USB DISK”, run the “RECSET.txt”, change the number after “Gain” to what you want and save, the larger the number, the higher the sensitivity of the recording.

**Timestamp (Time)

Windows: Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connect the recorder to a computer, enter the “USB DISK” – “Set time”, run the “SetDigitRecorderTm.exe”, click the “set time”, So the time of the recorder is synchronized with a computer.
Mac OS: Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connect the recorder to a computer, enter the “USB DISK”, run the “RECSET.txt”, change the number after “Time” to 14 digits of year, month, day, hour, minute, second, and save. For MAC users, please Google “MAC can’t modify USB DISK” to get the specific method. Make sure to backup your files before formatting.

**Sound quality (Bit)

Ensure the switch in the “OFF”, connects the recorder to a computer, enter the “USB DISK”, run the “RECSET.txt”, change the number after “Bit” to what you want and save.(0=32 kbps, 1=64 kbps, 2=128 kbps, 3=192 kbps, 4=384 kbps)

Tips: Change any parameter of “RECSET.txt”, be sure to save the text, and it will take effect after restarting the recorder.
Tips: If the recorder is not charged with a long time, the time will be reset after the battery is exhausted, and the time needs to be reset.

  • Why can some 16 GB recorders store 1000 hours of recordings. This bigger recorder can only store 750 hours of recording?
    The default bit rate of this recorder is 192 Kbps, the higher sound quality is, the larger storage space occupied of course.

  • Why is the actual storage space of this recorder not up to the advertised storage space?
    All memory manufacturers in the world produce the memory according to 1000 MB = 1 GB, while the computer recognizes the recorder according to 1024 MB = 1 GB. At the same time, the system software also takes up part of the storage space, so the actual capacity is smaller than the nominal capacity. This problem exists in the memory of all electronic products.

  • I lost my earphone and remote control. Where can I get a new one?
    Don’t worry about it, If your recorder has any problems or lost parts, please contact us in time, we will solve your problem in the first time.

  • The right way to charge?
    Before connecting the computer or charging the recorder power setting [OFF], do not open [ON] during charging.
    Wrong charging method: open [ON] before charging or during charging, there may be no indicator or red light keeps flashing.
    If it is [ON] before charging, after using the charger to charge, the recorder will automatically save the recording file and will not continue recording. If you need to charge recording, you need to toggle the switch [ON] again. Charging recording is limited to using the charger charging, if connected to a computer in any case, will not continue to record.
    If it is [OFF] before charging, turn on [ON] during the charging process, the recorder will enter the charging and recording state. There will not be any indicator light at this time.
    Note: Connected to the computer in the process of whether the switch is ON or OFF will not continue to record.

  • If you just turn on and use how long will the battery last?
    The battery will last for about 23 hours.

  • Will I have to make room for new recordings?
