FLO BY MOEN 866216 Smart Sump Pump Monitor User Guide

Before installing your Flo by Moen Smart Sump Pump Monitor, consider the

following requirements

  • This product monitors any standard indoor stormwater sump pump system up to 1HP. It is not compatible with outdoor pumps, sewage pumps, or well pumps.
  • The sump pump crock lid must be able to be removed during installation.
  • There must be an electrical outlet (120VAC) with continuous power within 8 ft. of the crock lid.
  • A Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz) is required for use.
  • A smartphone (iPhone or Android) with the Moen Plus App installed is required for installation.
  • A tape measure is helpful for this installation.

Getting Started

IMPORTANT: Download the Moen Plus App and create an account. The App will walk you through installation and product set-up with a guided step-by-step tutorial. The free Moen Plus App is available on the iOS App or Google Play store or scan the QR code for a direct link



Basic Installation Steps

(Full installation instructions are in the Moen Plus App)

(For DIY install, follow all steps. For professional install, follow steps 1-4, and have homeowner
start at step 5 with downloaded Moen Plus App.)

  1. Install 9V back-up battery (included) into back of Flo by Moen Smart Sump Pump Monitor.
  2. Connect smart water Level Sensor and Leak Sensing Disc to Monitor. Place Leak Sensing Disc on ground.
  3. Plug the Smart Sump Pump Monitor into the outlet and plug your sump pump power cord into the Monitor.
  4. Position smart water Level Sensor into sump pump crock, only tightening the provided cable ties after sensor placement is complete. Mount above the normal high-water level, aimed at the water surface, making sure the sensor won’t be submerged. For best results, see step-by-step instructions in the App.
  5. Once product is physically installed, refer to the Moen Plus App for full set-up instructions, to connect your Monitor to Wi-Fi, and finish device and Moen Plus account set-up.
