Before you start
IMPORTANT: Review this installation guide in its entirety before starting
the installation of your Room Controller or removal of your old switches.
Installation and maintenance involving electrical wiring must be done by a
qualified person(s). Risk of Electric Shock: Electricity can cause personal
injury and property damage if handled improperly. The metal heatsink plate is
not grounding, which might become live.
NOTE: INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES A NEUTRAL WIRE. IF THE
NEUTRAL WIRE IS NOT CONNECTED, THIS SWITCH WILL NOT WORK. CONSULT A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN. THE ROOM CONTROLLER IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH ON CLOUD OR WIZ
CONNECTED LIGHTS.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury and/or overheating and damage to
other equipment:
- Make sure that the power at the circuit breaker is turned OFF before starting.
- A neutral (typically white) wire is required.
- The wire colors indicated in this manual are typically found and may differ in some constructions/regions.
- Ensure the wire conductors are securely fastened to each wire.
- It is recommended that a certified electrician completes all high voltage electrical installations.
- Must follow all building and electrical codes in the region when installing.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi router’s 2.4GHz signal is strong at the switch/luminaire location (-80dB min).
- Do not install to control an appliance, motor, receptacle or traditional bulb/fixture.
- Recommended to be installed in a minimum 2.5″ depth device box.
- Intended for installation in an in-wall electrical box.

PAIRING: The Room Controller initiates wireless pairing for all OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures that are hardwired to the Room Controller circuit.
Installation
-
Turn OFF the power at the circuit breaker and confirm with the voltage tester at the switch before proceeding. Place voltage tester against the existing switch checking the wall plate, screws and switch at various points to determine that there is no power present.
-
Remove the wall plate and pull out the existing light switch so that all wires are exposed outside of the gang box (do not disconnect wires).
-
Label the live wire with a piece of electrical tape.
-
Disconnect and remove the Single-Pole Wiring existing switch.
-
Connect the Room Controller
Single-Pole Wiring 3-Way Wiring Diagram 1 3-Way Wiring Diagram 2
NOTE: Only the above 3-way wiring configurations are supported. Excluded wiring configurations include power going straight to the load, and no neutral wire going to devise boxes. -
Mount the Room Controller in the existing gang box with the provided screws and attach the wall plate (press fit).
-
Turn on the power at the circuit breaker.
-
Test to see that the Room Controller is functioning by pressing and holding the ON switch for 7-10 seconds. Your load (lights) should turn ON.
NOTE: If your lights do not turn on, check that the live/load wires are all connected according to the old switch. Turn off power at the circuit breaker and check the wiring. -
Place the OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures that are hardwired to the Room Controller circuit in pairing mode
NOTE: If the OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures are already installed and paired in the WiZ app, skip to #10.
a. Press and hold the ON and OFF buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash RED.
i. For first time pairing, follow with a short press of the ON button.
ii. For previously paired, follow with a long press (3 seconds) of the ON button.
b. The LED indicator will flash RED/GREEN.
c. The fixtures are now in pairing mode and you can proceed to WiZ App Setup. NOTE: In the WiZ App, any OnCloud / WiZ Connected fixture(s) must be added to a room prior to adding the Room Controller that will control them. -

WiZ Quick Setup Guide
Downloading the WiZ App
Before you start, make sure you install the WiZ App from either Google Play or
the Apple
App Store (both offer the same set of features). The app can also scale
to fit tablets as needed.
Installing and pairing with the room controller
The OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures are connected through the app and
will only operate on your home’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Most new routers are
dual bandwidth (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz), ensure you select the 2.4GHz network
which covers a wider range than the 5GHz. To make sure your phone is on the
2.4GHz network, either select it in the list of available networks on your
phone or go into the router settings and temporarily de-activate the 5GHz
network (you can activate it again after pairing is done).
If this is not possible and the OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures are not
found, try initiating pairing mode from the room controller by holding the ON
and OFF button for 5 seconds (or until the indicator lights flash red)
followed by a short press of the ON button (LED indicator will flash
RED/GREEN), then walking a short distance away from the router. Due to the
short range of 5GHz networks, your phone should auto-connect to the 2.4GHz at
this point. Once connected, you can start pairing in the app. You can pair as
many devices as you want at the same time.
NOTE: Upon first boot-up, the firmware may need to be updated. Please
allow up to 1 minute for the OnCloud / WiZ Connected light fixtures to update
after completing WiZ app setup. For additional support, visit
www.liteline.com/WiZsupport
NOTE: In the WiZ App, any OnCloud / WiZ Connected fixture(s) must be
added to a room prior to adding the Room Controller that will control them.
Please refer to the Installation manual included with the OnCloud / WiZ
Connected light fixtures for setup.
