In order to use this product properly and safely, please read this owner’s manual carefully before operating this product, and keep it for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Don’t apply excessive force to the switches or controls.
• Clean only with a clean dry cloth. Don’t use inflammable substances such as benzene, thinner, detergent, and so on.
• Do not place it in humid areas, so as to avoid damage to the internal circuits.
• The operating voltage is DC9V, don’t exceed it, otherwise, the product will malfunction.
• The power adapter is not included in the packing list, please buy it separately.
• Please make sure the polarity of your power adapter is the same as what is printed on its outer housing, any error in power polarity would cause damage to the product.
• Please turn on your amplifier after this product is powered on.
• Don’t dump this product with household garbage. Proper treatment can reduce pollution and health hazards. Please contact your local dealer for the correct approaches.

Product introduction:

 JOYO D-SEED II is an updated version of D-SEED, with 8 built-in delay effects and 1 LOOPER mode, and a switchable Ping Pong effect. Meanwhile, it features stereo input and output, TAP TEMPO function, and TAP beats, besides, you can change TAP TEMPO’s speed into the delay effect’s TIME value based on what TIME/BEAT knob’s beats indicate. D-SEED II adopts a dual-channel design(default}, each channel can save its own delay effect and the related parameters under its own channel respectively, therefore,  ou can use different delay effects to polish your tone when necessary. A maximum of 2 seconds’ delay(in TAP TEMPO mode) can meet most performers’ needs.

D-SEED II features 8 different built-in delay effects:
SPACE: it adds REVERS effect after delay effect, obtaining spatial tone.
LO-Fl: it adds a resampling filter to delay the effect, imitating the early electric music’s lo-fi crude tone.
FILTER: it adds a periodical varied modulation filter into the delay effect, and changes with the delay time, obtaining a delay effect changed according to the beats.
TAPE: simulates the classic smooth tape delay sound.
COPY: copy your instrument’s tone, without any polish.
ANALOG: offers a warm analog delay sound, like the early BBD delay effects pedals, together with the modern digital technology, you can get a maximum of 2 seconds delay time.
MODULATION: a modulation delay sound, it’s characterized by wide and spatial tone, bringing out the best when you’re playing the Clean tone for the performance.
REVERSE: an interesting effect, it will play the delayed verse reversely, creating a quite psychedelic feeling.

Panel

1. TYPE: 9 position switches, 8 delay modes are available,1 LOOPER, no delay effect when in LOOPER mode.

2. NORMAL/PINGPONG: PingPong function switch, turn on/off the PingPong effect.

3. TIME/BEAT: Adjust the TIME value in delay mode:
   (1)Turn the knob to get the TIME value. When you are using the TAP TEMPO function, adjust the TIME value based on what the knob indicates. LOOPER mode: control the depth of playback effect( similar to analog TAPE’s effect)

4. LEVEL/LP.LEVEL:In delay mode, it controls the level of a delay effect, in LOOPER mode, it controls the playback’s level.

5. Dual Output Jack: stereo dual output jack.

6. F. BACK/LP. TONE: In delay mode, it controls FEEDBACK, in LOOPER mode, it controls playback’s TONE.

7. Red&green LED light: indicating FAVORITE( green light is on) or TEMPO( red light is flickering). LOOPER mode( red&green LED indicating REC/PLAY etc)

8. REC/DUB: Tap the FAVORITE footswitch in DELAY mode, press and hold the FAVORITE footswitch and enter to TAP TEMPO function, in LOOPER mode, it controls LOOPER’s recording and dubbing.

9. PLAY/STOP: controls the delay effect’s ON/OFF in delay mode and controls the LOOPER playing, pause and delete in LOOPER mode.

10. Red &green two-color LED light: indicating DELAY switch’s status(green). Indicating LOOPER’s status( yellow and is on ).

11. Dual Input jack: stereo dual-input jack.

12. Power jack: connects to DC 9V (center minus)

Operation

Delay mode:

• Turn it on first and then tap the right footswitch, you can choose your desired DELAY sound by the TYPE switch.

• LEVEL, F.BACK, TIME knobs adjust DELAY effect’s related ‘Normal/PingPong toggle switch, namely, whether to turn on the right and left PingPong function or not. ( 2 amps are needed for the desired PingPong effect )

• The left footswitch is a FAVORITE(preset) function, green is the FAVORITE status when it’s off, you see what you get. When you’re in FAVORITE status, the tone you’ve adjusted will be saved automatically once you exit from it, and for the reference when you enter next time.

• Press the FAVORITE footswitch and keep it for 1.5 seconds to enter the TAP TEMPO function, stop this operation for 3 seconds, it returns to the normal function automatically. Namely, when it enters to TAP TEMPO function temporarily, the left LED light starts flickering according to the current speed.

• In BYPASS mode, press and hold the FAVORITE footswitch you can switch on or switch off the effect trail on, after you press the FAVORITE footswitch and hold, it starts to flicker, if flickering in red, it indicates switch on the effect trail on. If flickering in green, it indicates switch off the effect trail.
  LOOPER mode:

• When TYPE is placed at LOOPER, the right LED is in yellow, and enter to LOOPER status *REC: in EMPTY mode, toe down the REC/DUB footswitch(the left LED is red and flicking)

• DUB: In REC, PLAY, and STOP modes, toe down the REC/DUB footswitch(the LED on the left is in red)

• PLAY: In REC, PLAY, and STOP modes, toe down the REC/DUB footswitch(the LED on the left is in green)

• STOP: In the PLAY mode, tap the PLAY/STOP footswitch(the green LED on the left is flickering)

• CLEAR: In any mode of LOOPER, press PLAY/STOP footswitch and hold (the LED on the left is flickering quickly and gradually goes off.) (the recorded soundtracks won’t be saved if switching TYPE or turn off)
