Meet Your Smart Button
Control lights, appliance, and other connected devices at the touch of a
button. Smart Button can also be an instant trigger for Tapo Hub.
Before You Start
A Tapo Hub is required. Make sure your Tapo Hub is successfully added via the
Tapo app.

Power Up Your Button
Remove the battery insulation tab to power up your button. The LED should
blink.
Note: If the LED is not blinking, refer to the back page to reset it.
Set Up Your Button
Open the Tapo app, tap the + button in the app, and select your model.
Follow app instructions to complete the setup.
Test Your Button
Press the button to test it. Make sure the Tapo app shows the button is tapped when you press it.
Secure Mounting Bracket
Once you’ve decided on a location, secure the mounting bracket with either the included screws or the attached tape.
Mount Your Button
Place the button on the bracket posts, and the button will be magnetically attracted.
How to reset button to enter paring mode
a. Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. The LED will become yellow-green
for 10 seconds.
b. Press the button 3 times within that 10 seconds.
c. The LED should start blinking.
Do not ingest battery, Chemical Burn Hazard
This product contains a coin / button cell battery. If the coin / button cell
battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and
can lead to death.
Keep new and used batteries away from children.
If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and
keep it away from children.
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of
the body, seek immediate medical attention.
