When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is depicted on the product and its operator’s manual, it means the product is covered by the e-waste Management and Handling Rules, 2011 and is meant to be recycled, dismantled, refurbished, or disposed of.

Do’s
a. The product is required to be handed over only to the authorized recycler for disposal.
b. Keep the product in an isolated area, after it becomes non-functional / unrepairable so as to prevent its accidental breakage.

a. The product should not be opened by the user himself/herself, but only by authorized service personnel.

Hazards of improper handling or accidental breakage
a. The refrigerant ( R134a) used, if overexposed, might cause dizziness and loss of concentration. Liquid contact can cause irritation and frostbite. The refrigerant(R600a), squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause eye injury.
b. The blowing agent cyclopentane is a highly flammable liquid and vapor. Harmful to aquatic life. Contact with liquid may cause cold burns/frostbites. Repeated exposure causes skin dryness. -

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Risk of Fire and Flammable Materials

This symbol alerts you to flammable materials that can ignite and cause a fire if you do not take care.
This appliance contains a small amount of isobutane refrigerant (R600a), but it is also combustible.
When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged. -
If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and air the room in which the appliance is standing for several minutes. In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas-air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance is used should correspond to the amount of refrigerant used. The room must be 1 m in size for every 8 g of R600a refrigerant inside the appliance.
When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.
Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.

Child Entrapment Warning
An empty refrigerator can be a dangerous attraction to children. Remove gaskets, latches, lids, or the entire door from your unused appliance, or take some other action to make it harmless. -
Never store chemicals inside and explosives near the Refrigerator, such as Gas cylinders, etc.
It may cause an explosion or fire. -
Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.
It may cause electric shock or injury. -
Never place glass products in the freezer.
It may cause an explosion due to expansion when the contents are frozen. -
Do not keep any hot or heavy objects (more than 5 kgs) or lit candles or put stabilizers on the top/inside of the refrigerator.
It may cause fire, injury or damage. -
When the power cord or the power plug is damaged or the holes of the outlet are loosed, do not use them.

Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

This appliance uses a refrigerant gas (Isobutane, R-600a), even a small amount (30~90g) is combustible. When the gas is leaked due to severe damage during delivering, installing or using the refrigerator, any spark may cause fire or burn.

Do not keep any other electrical appliance on top/inside of refrigerator such as TV, Cooler, Temple, Decoration Lighting, Harmful Chemicals, Cloth Top, etc.
It may cause an explosion or fire. -
Do not place the heavy object or the dangerous object (container with liquid on the refrigerator.

It may be dropped to cause, injury, fire or electric shock when opening or closing the door.

In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be earthed. (about earthing)

In the event of an electric short circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. Improper use of the earthing plug can result in an electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly earthed.

Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Keep the ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.

Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

Keep hands away from the hinge during opening and closing the door, may get injured.

Do not place glass containers, bottles, or cans (especially those containing carbonated drinks) in the freezer compartment, shelves, or ice bin that will be exposed to temperatures below freezing.
To prevent injury to the user and property damage, the following instructions
must be followed.
Incorrect operation due to ignoring of instruction will cause harm or damage,
the seriousness is classified by the following indications.
Do not modify the power cord length or share the outlet with other appliances.
Do not operate with wet hands or in damp environments.
Do not splash water on your refrigerator.
Plugin the power socket properly.
Otherwise, it will cause electric shock or fire due to heat generation or
electrical shock.
Operate or stop the unit by switch only.

Do not use a damaged or unspecified power cord.
It will cause electrical shock or fire. If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by a power cord available from the manufacturer or its service

During Vacations
During average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the
refrigerator in operation.
Place freezable items in the freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away
for an extended period, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the
interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odor formation. To
operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-8 hrs. for stabilization
Shifting
While shifting the refrigerator, two people should carry it for its safety.
Fasten the door with tape or lock to prevent the opening of the refrigerator.
Always remove Gasket when discarding Refrigerator
Cleaning (Use only non-inflammable cleaners)
Cleaning of Interior Parts is recommended. Wash all compartments with a mild baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the exterior finish of your refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
- farmhouses and by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments;
- catering and similar non-retail applications.
- Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- If the appliance is equipped with a lock, keep the key out of reach of children.
- If you are leaving the appliance turned off for an extended period of time, remove all food and unplug the power cord. Clean the interior, and leave the doors slightly ajar to prevent mold from growing in the appliance.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- In the event of a blackout, call the electricity company and ask how long it is going to last.
-You should avoid door openings while the power is off.
-When the power supply gets back to normal, check the condition of the food.
Installation
Refrigerator should be located properly in a ventilated area.
Leveling of the refrigerator should be done with the front legs. Refrigerator
should be leveled with a front-to-back inclination for the base.
After installing the appliance, connect the power plug to a socket outlet.
Before moving and discarding the appliance, disconnect the plug from the
socket-outlet.
- In the case of the Base stand model leveling of the refrigerator should be done with the front leg of the Base Stand
- In selected models only.
Identification of Control
Use electrical connection with 3-pin for earthing.
A specially designed knob gives you the facility to control the temperature
inside Refrigerator.
Before loading, let the refrigerator run for 12 hrs. in the No. 4 position.

Operating Procedure
DEFROSTING : It is natural for moisture in there air to condense on the cold surface. This leads to a regular build-up of frost on the surface of the freezer. Defrost regularly to avoid heavy frost building on the evaporator which results in reduced cooling efficiency.
Push the defrost Knob every 3 days / Ice Level reaches defrost indicator.
Ice Making
Fill ice trays with water, and place in freeze Box. To remove the ice cube, gently twist Ice Tray.
Do not use sharp tool to remove ice tray, otherwise, you may puncture the evaporator resulting in gas leakage thus nonperformance of the refrigerator.

Ambient Temperature
• The appliance is designed to operate within a limited range of ambient temperatures, depending on the climate zone. Do not use the appliance at a temperature exceeding the limit. The internal temperatures could be affected by the location of the appliance, the ambient temperature, the frequency of door opening and so on.
The climate class can be found on the rating label.

• Too small of a distance from adjacent items may result in degradation of freezing capability and increased: electricity costs. Allow over 50mm clearance from each adjacent wall when installing the appliance.

Lamp Replacement
NOTE
• Not all appliance bulbs will fit your refrigerator. Be sure to replace the
bulb with one of the same size, shape, and wattage.
- Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- Remove the lamp cover by pulling outside
- Make sure the bulbs are cool to touch.
- Remove the lamp by turning it counterclockwise.
- Put a new lamp and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
- Make sure the bulb is properly tightened.
- Put the cover lamp back and push it gently with your thumb till a click sound appears.
How to get good results
Cover or wrap all foods that you put into your refrigerator with polythene or aluminum foil, preventing the mixing of flavors and keeping the food from drying.
Don’t keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator.
This will result in an increased temperature and an increase in power
consumption.
Do not leave the refrigerator open for a long time. Don’t open the refrigerator door too often, hot air will enter and increase the temperature.
Never overload your refrigerator or cover the shelves with paper or plastic sheets as it will reduce its efficiency
Close the door properly, make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and the cabinet of your LG refrigerator
Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic bags. This will help in retaining its freshness for a longer period of time.

It is recommended to use a Voltage Stabilizer (0.5kVA) if power fluctuations
are frequent and out of the specified voltage range (135-290V) ,
Stabilizer usage increases the refrigerator life.

| — Storing hot foods.| Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator, cool
them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.
4. Formation of water
drops on exterior of refrigerator.| — High humidity during monsoon season.|
During the monsoon, when the humidity in the atmosphere reaches around 90%,
water droplets may form around the sides of the refrigerator cabinet,
especially thetop portion. This moisture should be wiped off periodically.
Contact our serviceman to check the door seal or proper and uniform contact
with the cabinet.
5. Formation of droplets on the underside of the Chiller tray.| — Hot and
humid climate.| In hot and humid weather the moist air rushes inside whenever
the refrigerator door is opened. This results in excess frosting on the
Evaporator and condensation onthe Chiller tray bottom. Avoid too frequent door
openings.
6. Smell and odour.| — Improper coveringand wrapping of food.| Wrap and
cover food stuffs properly. Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores. If
the smell persists, defrost the refrigerator, remove all foodstuffs, clean
the refrigerator thoroughly and wipe it dry before restarting.
7. Noise| — Normal cut-off/ cut-innoise| Whenever refrigerator starts & stop
there is noise of Thermostat cut-off/ cut-in &Compressor start/stop. This is a
normal phenomenon.
8. Noise from Freezer| — Hissing noise fromFreezer| This is normal gas
expansion noise
9. Bulb does not glow| — Bulb fused| Bulb is not covered under warranty
LG Service Engineer will replace this on cost basis.
10. Vibrating| — If the side or back of the appliance is touching a cabinet
or wall, some of the normal vibrations may make an audible sound.| To
eliminate the noise, make sure that the sides and back do not make any
contractwith any wall or cabinet.
WARRANTY
The LG Refrigerator comes with 1 + 4 or 9(Selected Model) year warranty, from the date of purchase, which comprises of a 1 year warranty on all Parts (except Consumables, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the first year and thereafter a 4 or 9(Selected Model) year Additional warranty on the compressor, from the date of purchase of the product, provided always that the warranty card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of our Authorised Dealer. or 9(Selected Model) YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR The 4 or 9(Selected Model) year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1 year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers the Compressor only. Gas/Gas Charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is included only when the compressor is defective & inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part such as the condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has it’s Authorized Service center, Service outside municipal limit will attract to and fro traveling, other incidental expenses in addition to standard visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of cost, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.
TERMS & CONDITIONS

The warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & is non-transferable.

Repairs & replacements will be carried out by the dealer from whom the product has been purchased, or through the Authorized Service Centers of LGEIL. In case the customer shifts the place of residence during the warranty period, it is advised to contact Authorized Service Centre directly or call our helpline.

Repairs under warranty shall be carried out by authorized service personnel only. The details of centralized help lines are attached.

For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company’s Authorized Service Center, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact
the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service center at its own cost and risk. All expenses incurred in collecting
the units or parts thereof from the company’s authorized service center, as well as expenses incurred with deputizing of service personnel/technicians
towards conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local Charges for transportation and handling charges may vary from
location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit on its own to the Authorized Service Centre,
the same shall be at its own risks & consequences. -
The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service center.

Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service center, wherein only cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust accumulation on
portions of the unit, general explanations/returning, are not to be considered as defects. -
In case of repairs or replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. LGEIL may use parts that are new or refurbished and equivalent to new in performance and reliability. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LG), the same model shall be replaced and in the event, such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.

In case of any damage to the product/customer abuse/ repairs by unauthorized personnel/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.

This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the Refrigerator. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.

The company or its Authorized Service Center reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced at its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.

While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no
obligation to do so in a specified period of time. -
The warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment supplied by the dealer.
-
If any colored internal or external components are replaced, there will be a commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, and tints may vary from the customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at the customer’s request will be on a chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.
Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases :
- The warranty card is not completed properly at the time of purchase.
- The completed warranty card is not presented to authorized service personnel at the time of service of the product.
- The product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction Booklet.
- Defects are caused by improper or reckless use, which shall be determined by the company personnel.
- Any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel.
- Defects are caused by causes beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage acts of God, or while in transit to a service center or purchaser’s residence.
- The warranty is not valid in case, the serial number is deleted, defected, or altered.
- Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting is not covered by warranty.
- a) This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period of 12 months, even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason. b) The warranty on the compressor will automatically terminate on expiry of 4 or 9*(Selected Model) years (after 1 year warranty period) even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the said period for any reason.
- Only courts in the state of Delhi and places where LGEIL has its branch office shall have the jurisdiction for settling any claims, or disputes arising under the warranty.
- Compressor, Eva & Condensers will not be covered under warranty in case of use of a knife or sharp instrument to remove the ice trays or Ice from the freezer or to remove the frost mechanically
