When using this appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Read all instructions before using.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or base unit in water or other liquids.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Use caution when operating the appliance. Do not place hands near moving or rotating parts.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by this appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed.
Clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the Cleaning and Maintenance section.

USING YOUR ELECTRIC CITRUS JUICER

Place the appliance on an even surface.
Select the small juicing cone or the large juicing cone, depending on the type of fruit you are juicing.
Note: The small juicing cone is suitable for juicing small citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. The large juicing cone is suitable for juicing bigger citrus fruits such as oranges and grapefruits.

Using the small juicing cone (Pressing by hand)

Fit the small juicing cone over the filter holder.
If you wish to collect juice in the juice container, press the spout upwards to close it until it snaps in place. The capacity of the juice container is 400 ml.
If you want to the juice to run straight into a glass, make sure the spout is pushed downwards, then place a glass directly under it.
Connect the appliance to a power outlet.
Cut a citrus fruit in half, then press the fruit cut side down on the cone, applying gentle pressure by hand. The cone will automatically start rotating once pressure is applied.
To stop the operation, simply stop applying pressure to the cone. Push the spout upwards to stop the juice flow.

Using the large juicing cone (Using the lever)

Fit the small juicing cone over the filter holder, then place the large juicing cone over the small juicing cone.
Place a glass directly under the spout. Make sure the spout is open and pushed downwards.
Connect the appliance to a power outlet.
Cut a citrus in half and place cut end over the juicing cone. Lower the handle to press the fruit between the juicing dome and the juicing cone. The juicer automatically switches on and the juicing cone rotates. The juicer automatically switches off as soon as you reduce pressure on the cone.
Push the spout upwards to stop the juice flow.

Notes:

For best results, center fruits and apply constant pressure.
If processing a large quantity of fruits, periodically clean the strainer and remove excess pulp.

Unplug the appliance.
Remove the juicing cones, pulp strainer, juice container and clean as directed in the section “Cleaning and Maintenance.”

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or when not in use.
Remove the juicing cones and detach from strainer.
Remove strainer from filter holder, then lift filter holder and juice container off of spindle.
Rinse the strainer, juice container and juicing cones immediately after each use. Use a bristle brush to remove fine pulp that may remain.
Use mild dishwashing liquid and warm water to wash all removable parts, or place in the dishwasher (top rack only).
Wipe the base with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse in water or place in the dishwasher.
Dry all parts thoroughly before storing.
