(identified by knurling) and slide the lid.
Place the batteries following the right polarity, indicated on the bottom of the compartment. Close the lid, sliding until the end. Use only batteries of the specified size and voltage.
If the remote control is not used for a long time, remove the batteries. Do not leave dead batteries in the remote control.
If liquid is produced from the batteries, wipe it off with a cloth and replace the batteries.
Do not throw batteries into fire, do not short-circuit them, do not open them or subject them to excessive temperature. Batteries are not rechargeable, do not attempt to recharge them. Replace the batteries with others of the same type. Do not use a new and an old battery or batteries of a different type, replace both with new identical ones. Do not disperse batteries in the environment.

Using the remote control
The remote control must be directed towards the front of the appliance, where the IR sensor is. Remove any object that may influence the trajectory from the remote control to the sensor. Exposure to strong sunlight could affect the sensitivity of the remote control.

Connection

WARNING: connect the appliance to the mains only after making all the necessary connections.
Make sure to have inserted the batteries in the remote control, adjustments may only be necessary with the remote control. Refer to the previous diagrams and images (Figure 2)
for the identification of the correct position of the sockets on the decoder.

Antenna connection
Connect the coaxial cable of the antenna connected to the wall socket with the ANT IN socket (see Figure 2) on the back of the device.

Connection to the television
There are two way to connect the appliance to the television: through an HDMI cable or a SCART cable (both cables are not included in the packing). Choose the most appropriate one based on the TV. If the TV is equipped with an HDMI socket, using it to have the maximum video and audio resolution being a digital output.

The SCART cable (not included) must be inserted in the proper socket on the television, following the correct polarity provided by the shape of the connector, and in the socket on the rear of the appliance (see Figure 2), automatically the television will show the home screen of the decoder, once turned on.

The HDMI cable (not included) must be inserted in the proper socket on the television and in the socket on the rear of the appliance (see Figure 2). It is recommended to take note of which TV socket is used (usually it is indicated as HDMI 1, HDMI 2, ….). The TV will not automatically display the initial screen of the decoder, it will be necessary to select the source using the TV remote control (see its manual, usually on the TV remote controls it is indicated as SOURCE, INPUT …; then choose the HDMI 1 icon .. or HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 based on the HDMI input to which the HDMI cable is connected).

Boot

Select the video source via the TV settings (see the TV manual for any information), if the HDMI connection is used; instead with the SCART connection, the selection will be automatic. On the decoder display the “0000” sign will appear.

The home screen INSTALLATION GUIDE allows the choice of the language (“Lingua OSD”) and the country (“Paese”), the possibility to search only the not encrypted (FTA: Free To Air) or also those the pay-per-view ones (ALL). Moreover, it’s possible to choose if supply the antenna or not (for further info see page 13). The factory settings for language and country are
“Italiano” (Italian) and “Italia” (Italy). Both the parameters can be changed via the arrows keys, after selecting what is wanted to modify, using the arrows keys on the remote control skip to the next menu. Kingbox-DVB-T2

IMPORTANT NOTES
In the event that the channels stored in the search are not arranged according to the national standard which provides for their ordering according to their importance (RAI 1 on channel 1; RAI 2 on channel 2; RAI 3 on channel 3, RETE 4 on Channel 4 ; CANALE 5 on channel 5; ITALIA 1 on channel 6; LA7 on channel 7 …), means that the LCN function is not active. To activate the LCN order, please follow the instructions in the following chapter (PROGRAM).

Network App
If the device is connected to the internet via the network cable, it is possible to access some applications such as YouTube, RSS news, Weather and IPTV. The decoder directly accesses the contents of YouTube and presents various options that are quite intuitive. The news application has some preloaded English-language sites to draw from, but you can add other

links. The Weather application shows the weather forecast in the surroundings.
To access the network applications, enter the USB menu and select INTERNET and you will enter the submenu like the one in the figure, where you can select the application you are looking for.
Remote control programming
The supplied remote control can also be used to control another device equipped with an infrared remote control (for example the television).

To make the remote control communicate with the TV you need to follow these steps:

  1. Position the two remote controls of the decoder and TV facing each other so that the two emitters look at each other without being obstructed
  2. Press the SET button for 3 seconds on the remote control until the red LED lights up and stays on.
  3. Press the key to be associated on the decoder remote control within 10 seconds.
  4. Press the button to be associated on the TV remote control within 3 seconds. If the signal is received by the remote control, the red LED will flash 3 times and then remain on.
  5. Press SET to confirm.
  6. Repeat these steps for each button on the remote you want to configure

Tips:

  • at the end of the programming process, check whether the key has been associated before continuing with the next
  •  in order to avoid confusion, associate the keys with the same function, for example in point 3 press the ON / OFF key on the remote control of the receiver and in point 4 press the same key on the remote control of the TV,
Attention: it is possible to associate only the buttons of the remote control supplied inside the white rectangle (ON / OFF, TV / AV; VOL + and VOL-). SET function key and cannot be associated.
