Installations

Device Connection

Bluetooth Water Time and Wi-Fi Hub Connection Search for Tuya Smart on Google Play or App Store to download the app. Follow the prompts
to register Tuya account or log in with an existing account.
Plug the GWB-03 Wi-Fi gateway into an USB port or adapter near the router and wait 10 seconds for the device initialization to complete. The bule and purple indicator lights blinking slowly, which mean it enters the gateway pairing state.
Remove the back case pull out battery cover of Smart Watering Timer SWV-02 and load 2xAA batteries(not included). Press and hold the button until the green LED flashes rapidly, which means the devices is ready to connect.
Launch Tuya APP, click “ ” button on the top right corner, or tap “Add Device” directly, the App will search for nearby device, press “ Add” when the devices are discovered. Then follow the instructions on the App page to complete pairing.
Once the connection is complete, the paired devices will be shown on the home page.

The LED Light (ON/OFF button) on your timer will display different type at different intervals depending how your timer is functioning.

Smart watering timer binding to gateway

Once the connection is complete, the pair devices will be displayed on the homepage, Click the Bluetooth-WiFi gateway to enter the device details homepage.
Click “Add existing” select the device and click “Confirm” to go to the next step.
Once the binding is complete, the paired device will be displayed on the homepage. Click on the Bluetooth-Wi-Fi gateway to enter the device details homepage.

Basic information of the device

By selecting “Search for devices”, you can also associate more sub-devices.
Click the Smart Watering Timer to enter the device details pages. This page displays the following information: date, battery status, device status, weather information, irrigation time, last run timer, next run time.
At the bottom, there is an operation panel with several options: Manual button, Weather Delay, Schedule Setting, Irrigation History, Setting.
Manual button for instant watering.
Weather delay for 24/48/72hours.
Schedule Setting with normal schedule and cycle & soak schedule for options.
Irrigation history for irrigation track and avoid false operation.
To set no-irrigation time. Once this setting is done and enabled, the smart watering timer will skip the pre-irrigation schedule.
Press the button on the top right corner to enter device information page.

Manual Operation

Manual mode: Click the “ “ to manually turn ON the water timer to start watering. The default time is 10 mins.
Click the “ ” to manually turn off water timer. Tap the central circle to set manual watering time, from 1min to 24 hours.

Weather Delay

Tap the “Weather Delay” to enable the rain delay function. The weather delay can set with 24H,48H,72H and cancel.

Plans and settings

Click and choose the schedule type you need and confirm the watering start time, duration, weekdays to water, and save all settings.
The soak & Cycle type have different setting options. It needs to set the start time, end time of irrigation, the cycle duration and soak duration.
Schedule Type

On the schedule page, after select button, there are two types for selection: Normal type
and Cycle & Soak type.
Normal Schedule: means device watering at a specific time.

Cycle & Soak: means the device will run the watering schedule repeatedly in this period.

Schedule Settings
Click and choose the schedule type you need and confirm the watering start time, duration, weekdays to water, and save all settings.
The Soak & Cycle type have different setting options. It needs to set the start time, end timer of irrigation, the cycle duration and soak duration.

*Tips**
a. The minimum period cannot be greater than the total time period.
b. There will be time conflict notice when the time schedule overlap, causing plans fail of setting.
c. When all plans are set up, they will be displayed on the timer list. There is shortcut button behind each group of plans to quick start or stop the plan directly.

Irrigation History

Every irrigation plan will be recorded. It’s convenient for users to track the implementation of irrigation plans.

Non-irrigation time setting

Once this setting is done and enabled, the smart watering timer will skip the pre-irrigation schedule.

Reset Hub&Timer

Reset Water Timer

Press and hold the ON/OFF button of the Bluetooth water timer for more than 5 seconds, LED light will blink, the water timer is now in pairing mode, and reconnect to your smart device. Open the Tuya Smart APP and add the watering timer again.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button of the Bluetooth water timer for more than 10 seconds after re-install batteries. The LED light type from blink to stay on for 3 seconds. The device will be restored to the factory setting, and all data will be wiped out.
Now try to add the water timer device via App again.

Reset Wi-Fi hub
Press and hold the top button of Wi-Fi Hub for more than 5 seconds until the APP UI shows the device has been removed from App.

Warranty & Warnings

Please make sure the smart phone is near the Bluetooth water timer when connecting or setting the watering plan. The best range for connection and operation is within 60 meters in the open area.
The watering timer will follow and perform the preset watering schedule after application set successfully, even if the phone is out of the best connecting range.
