EVATOST MC-270 Scooter
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL FULLY BEFORE USE
Instructions
A. To fit grips, insert handle bars into the T-bar and make sure that the spring button pops out to secure in position on the T-bar.
C. After use, simply loosen the quick lock, press the spring button and pushdown the handle bar. Tighten the quick lock to secure the handle bar
B. To adjust the stem, release the quick lock and press the spring button, then adjust the handle bar to height. The button must pop into the fixation hole. Tighten the quick lock to secure the handle bar.
D. Alignment Screw. The screw on the clamp that adjusts the height of the handlebars must not be taken out. This screw is to align the handlebars on the front wheel. If you lose this screw, do not use until the screw has been replaced
a. open the metal buckle and loosen the nut (see picture a.)
b. Pull the plastic lever upwards to unlock the system (see picture b.)
c. When the scooter is completely open, release the plastic lever, then
tighten the screw clockwise and lock the buckle (see picture c)
d. When folding the scooter, ensure that the front wheel is at 180 degree
to the scooter. If not, it will not close properly. Keep fingers away from all
moveable parts on the scooter or fingers could get trapped.
Caution: Check all clamping devices for tightness and foot brake prior to riding.
Scooter folding process
- Open the metal buckle.
- Loosen the nut a bit.
- Life up the black handle in the middle and fold the scooter.
Never ride the scooter without tightening the folding joints.
Operation Manual
- Grip the handlebars with your hands, place one foot on the board and the other foot on the ground.
- Pay attention to your surroundings and make sure that your riding area is clear.
- Kick backwards with your foot beside the scooter to give you motion.
- Repeat this kicking action in order to stay motion.
- To stop or slow down, place your kicking foot on the brake pedal, above the rear wheel or on the ground.
- Do not oversteer as this could cause you to fall off the scooter.
Important Safety Notice
- The product is recommended for users of 5 years old and above.
- After checking that all parts are in good condition, remember to check that all the screws and wheels are tightly in place before using the scooter.
- Remember to wear a helmet, kneepads, wrist pads, elbow pads and protective clothing.
- The maximum weight that this product can hold is 150kg.
- The scooter must only be used by one rider at a time.
- Do not use this product for jumping stunts or tricks. The scooter is not designed for such use.
- This product is not a road vehicle and should be used for leisure purposes only.
- Do not use this product during poor weather (rain, snow, poor visibility) or around heavily populated areas (pavements, streets, muddy areas, rocky surfaces and slippery surfaces). We recommend that you use this product in a park or other open space.
- The hex keys fix the wheels regularly and ensure they are tight.
- Do not take this product apart.
WARNING
The handgrip contains an aluminum tube, a foam grip and a plastic end, which are attached by an elastic strap. It is strongly recommended that you wear protective equipment whilst using this product and the scooter should not be used on any other surface other than on flat even ground. It is not designed for graveled roads, grass surfaces or any other uneven surface as this could cause not only damage to scooter but also the rider. Warning: Protective equipment should be worn.
Maintenance
- After use, please wipe the product with mild detergent.
- Do not leave this product in high temperatures, intense sunlight or dusty areas.
- Store in a dry place.
Adult supervision is recommended.
- Ride on smooth, paved roads away from motor vehicles.
- Avoid bumps, drainage ditch, and sudden surface changes, or scooter may suddenly stop.
- Do not ride at night or any places with poor visibility.
- Brake will get hot from continuous use. Do not touch it after braking.
- Avoid excessive speed associated with downhill riding.
- Adults must assist children in the initial adjustment procedures, like folding and unfolding scooter, adjusting handlebar and steering to height.
- Obey all local traffic and scooter riding laws and regulations.
- Watch out for pedestrians.
- Replace worn or broken parts immediately.
