Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury
we urge that our clients take some basic safety precautions when using this
device. Please read the operation instruc-tions carefully and make sure you
have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Safety instructions
- Do not place the stove fan on an unprotected surface when its base is still hot.
- Only move the stove fan in an emergency when it is in operation. Make sure to put on gloves to avoid burns or injuries due to contact with the rotor.
- Keep obstacles away when the stove fan is on.
- Children and pets near the stove and the stove fan must always be supervised.
- The stove fan starts operating when the air is heated to 50 ℃. The fan rotates faster when the temperature rises, and slower when the temperature falls. The fan base cools down together with the stove when the fuel is used up.
Operation instructions
- Before setting up the fan, make sure that the handle is upright.
- The fan is made to be installed on free-standing wood stoves, the surface temperature of which can rise from 110 ℃ to 345 ℃ (230 ℉ to 650 ℉). Should the surface of your stove get hotter, you will need to remove the fan. The stove should have a thermometer that shows you the current temperature. A temperature above 345 ℃ can damage the fan.
- The fan does not must be connected to an additional power source. It is powered by the heat rising from the top of the stove.
- The fan is equipped with a heat-sensitive spring on the base, which tilts the fan slightly. This tilt increases as the temperature increases. A slight tilt of 2 mm is normal. A larger tilt of 5 mm means that your stove is too hot and the fan must be removed (by the handle).
Installation
- Do not place the fan in front of or near the stove-pipe.
- Do not use it if the temperature exceeds 345 ℃.
- The specified optimum temperature is only intended as a reference and guide. It may differ in environments that are different from the test environment under laboratory conditions
Maintenance
The stove fan does not require any special maintenance. When used under normal
conditions, it only needs to be wiped occasionally with a clean, damp cloth.
Do not immerse it in water or cleaning liquid to clean it. Store the fan in
the original box in a safe place when not in use.
