MB45 Headphone Amplifier
INDEPENDENT EARTH WIRING
The HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER is primarily designed for the serious AUDIOPHILE who
wishes to add headphone facilities without compromising the prime system sound
quality.
All conventional headphone switching boxes rely on ‘breaking’ the loudspeaker
cables, inevitably leading to some loss of prime system sound quality.
The HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER connects directly to the pre-amp or tape output
sockets thus avoiding any such sound degradation. Both volume and channel
balance can be adjusted using the dual function control.
POWER SUPPLY
In the U.K. The purchase price includes a separate 12 volt 500mA plug-top
power supply. In some countries, it may be necessary to purchase the power
supply separately — if in doubt consult your dealer.
CONNECTION
To connect the MB45, it is first necessary to disconnect the TAPE DECK from the AMPLIFIER and route them through the MB45 as shown. Two additional pairs of cables will be required to connect the MB45 to the AMPLIFIER. Up to two pairs of headphones can be directly plugged into the MB45.
OPERATION
Channel balance can be adjusted by pulling the control knob forward and
turning it to the right or left as required. Releasing the control knob locks
this setting, and the control reverts to conventional volume control.
For normal AMPLIFIER listening,.press the push button ‘in’. Release the button
to listen to the TAPE DECK output.
*The D.C. jack connections are center pin positive, and outer pin negative (polarity protected).
