DESCRIPTION

This device features a snow juice level sensor. When the snow juice level begins to run low, a built-in sensor inside the reservoir will automatically shut off the pump. This will prevent the pump from running dry, and therefore greatly increase the life of the pump.
This unit also includes a switch located on the rear panel that allows you to control the speed of the air pump located inside the unit, thereby controlling the size of the flakes that are produced by the machine. In the max position, the airflow will be low, producing larger flakes. In the minimum position, the airflow will be higher, producing smaller flakes. The snow output volume is controlled using the included remote control.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • In the event that the unit needs to be returned to ADJ Products, LLC for service, use only the original packaging and materials for shipping.
  • To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
  • Do not spill water or other liquids into or onto your device.
  • Ensure that the snow fluid is contained inside the fluid reservoir only. Do not spill snow fluid into or onto other internal components of the device.
  • Ensure that the power outlet used matches the device’s required voltage.
  • Do not remove the cover for any reason. There are no user-serviceable parts inside this device!
  • Disconnect the unit from the main power when left unused for long periods of time.
  • Never connect this device to a dimmer pack.
  • Do not attempt to operate this unit if it has been damaged in any way.
  • Never operate this unit with the cover removed.
  • Do not attempt to operate this unit if the power cord has been frayed or broken.
  • Do not attempt to remove or break off the ground prong from the electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire in the event of an internal short.
  • Disconnect from the main power before attempting to make any type of connection.
  • Never block the ventilation holes, and always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper ventilation. Allow at least 6” (15cm) clearance between this device and a wall.
  • This unit is intended for indoor use only, and the use of this product outdoors voids all warranties.
  • Always mount this unit in a safe and stable manner.
  • Please route your power cord out of the path of foot traffic. Power cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them.
  • The fixture should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
    A. The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged.
    B. Objects have fallen onto, or liquid has been spilled into, the unit.
    C. The unit has been exposed to rain or water.
    D. The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibit a marked change in performance.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS:
This product must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This product is equipped with a cord that features a grounding wire with an appropriate grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING – Improper installation of the grounding plug may result in a risk of electric shock. When repair or replacement of the cord or plug is required, do not connect the grounding wire to either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation that is green (with or without yellow stripes) is the grounding wire.
Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman when the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or when in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided; if it does not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This product is for use on a nominal 120-V circuit and has a grounding plug similar to the plug illustrated in sketch A. Only connect the product to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug.
Do not use an adapter with this product.

EXTENSION CORDS:
Use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that accepts the plug on the product. Make sure your extension cord is not damaged. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product draws. An undersized cord results in a drop in line voltage and loss of power and overheating. (Below table shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. When in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. Heavier cord gauges are signified by smaller gauge numbers.)

SET UP

  1. Open the shipping carton and carefully remove the unit from the shipping carton. Make sure to remove all the packing material, and pay particular attention to the area around the nozzle/sock.

  2. Set the snow machine on a flat dry surface. Remove the included bracket from the package and attach it to the side of the snow machine using the supplied hardware.
Note: The bracket is an optional accessory and is required when the device is installed in a hanging or suspended setting.

  3. Remove the fluid reservoir and fill it with ADJ® brand snow juice only, then replace the reservoir.

  4. Place the feeder tube with the filter deep inside the reservoir and tighten the cap.

  5. Using the switch on the rear of the unit, set the air volume output to either the minimum setting (small snowflakes) or the maximum setting (large snowflakes).

  6. Firmly attach the remote control unit to the rear remote control socket on the unit. Turn the rotary knob to adjust the snow output level. Turning the knob clockwise reduces the snow output while turning it counter-clockwise increases the snow output.

  7. Plug the unit into a matching power supply. Switch on the main power located on the rear panel of the unit.

Note: The liquid reservoir will glow red when the device is connected to power.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Always be sure to maintain an adequate supply of ADJ® Brand Snow Juice in the fluid reservoir. The pump will shut off automatically when the snow juice is low. Running the snow machine dry will cause pump failure and or clogging. This is the largest cause of failure in snow machines. Use only ADJ-brand snow juice for this device.
Manual Remote Operation: Connect the included remote control to the snow machine and plug the machine into a matching power outlet. The red LED (inside the fluid tank) will illuminate when there is enough snow fluid in the tank. When the fluid level is low, the red LED will flash. The green LED will glow when the snow machine is in use. To emit snow, adjust the OUTPUT VOLUME knob to your desired level and then press the ON/OFF button on the remote for the desired length of time. If the green LED is on and snow does not come out after holding the button down for 30 seconds, check the fluid tank and hose to make sure there is fluid going through the hose.
Caution: Before removing or replacing the remote control unit, disconnect the power cord.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you experience low snow output, pump noise, or no snow output at all, disconnect the device from power and discontinue use immediately. Do not continue to push the remote control’s activation button, as this may damage the device. Check fluid level, the external fuse or breaker, and remote connection, and verify that the wall outlet is sending power. If none of these factors prove to be the cause of the problem, and the unit still fails to operate correctly, the unit may require service. Please contact customer support for further instructions. Please do not return the unit to your dealer without contacting customer support first.

PROPER STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE

Store your device only in a cool area, and cover the device to prevent dust buildup. When storing for long periods of time, it is highly advised to at least run the device every 3-4 months, as long periods of inactivity can severely shorten the operational life. Only run water-based snow juice through your device. Never run plain water, vinegar, or any other liquid solution through your device, as running anything other than water-based snow juice will cause severe damage.
