REQUIRED PREPARATION PRIOR TO START INSTALLATION

Network Connectivity setup

  • LTE CAT-M1 Network coverage is available for initial connection
  • Desired Wi-Fi signal is available:
  • Network (SSID and security settings) is setup in a Wi-Fi signal Access Point
  • Settings in synch with the IZ Web App, Deployment App and KeySTREAM™ Server

Gateway setup in IZG Web App

  • Gateways available at Location & available in IZ Web App

Positioning of the Gateway in IZG Web App

  • Zones and position of each Gateway is defined
  • Physical Gateway Location in synch with settings in IZ Web App & Deployment App.

Power supply

  • If relying on RJ45 PoE, make sure a PoE supporting router is available on site
  • Ensure the AC is available at the physical desired emplacement of the Gateway

Physical installation preparation

  • Site survey done for exact Gateway placement
  • Identify mounting method (VHB Tape or Bracket with screws)

GATEWAY ACTIVATION

(recommended before final physical placement):

  1. Connect to the power supply
    • Connect the Gateway to the power supply
    • During the activation process, the LED blinks blue – please wait
  2. Await device synchronization
    • Once the LED is green for ~10s, the device is now ready for use
  3. Verifications
    • Check Gateway is in IZ-Active state in the IZ Web App

TROUBLESHOOTING – LED Indicator Codes

  • Flashing BLUE: activation ongoing –please wait
  • Flashing GREEN for 10 seconds: Gateway operational;
  • Flashing RED for 10 seconds: communication issue due to network problem
  • Steady RED for 10 seconds: communication issue

recommended actions in non-desired states

  • Flashing RED for 10 seconds
    • Ensure Wi-Fi and/or LTE CAT-M1 signal is available and/or has coverage
    • Verify Wi-Fi settings are correct in the device configuration
  • Steady RED for 10 seconds:
    • Paperclip RESET or unplug from power & reconnect
