Thank you for purchasing JINS MEME. “JINS MEME Precautions for Use” contains instructions on how to use JINS MEME and other important information. For information on how to take care of the device and what to do in the event of any problems, please visit the JINS MEME website support page at the URL given below. In order to get the best from your JINS MEME, please read this manual carefully so that you know how to use the device correctly and safely. Please keep this manual in a safe place so that you can refer to it at any time.

Safety precautions
JINS MEME is designed so that it can be used as an ordinary pair of glasses when JINS MEME Core is correctly mounted on a JINS MEME compatible frame. However, as JINS MEME Core contains electronic components, if it is used incorrectly, it may be damaged in ways that are different from the use of ordinary glasses. Please read the following safety information carefully to understand how to use the device correctly and safely. JINS MEME is not a medical device. Neither JINS MEME nor any related apps can be used for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any illness, condition or injury. In the event of any abnormality, cease using the device immediately and contact JINS Customer Support Center. If you continue to use a defective device, there may be adverse effects on your health. Statements in the manual regarding safety are divided into “Warning” and “Caution”, in order to indicate clearly the level and urgency of possible harm and injury

If you have an implanted cardiac pacemaker or an implanted Bellator, do not bring these devices any closer than 15cm to JINS MEME Core. The electromagnetic waves from JINS MEME Core may affect the operation of implanted cardiac pacemakers or fibrillatory.

Do not use JINS MEME Core in crowded places such as packed trains. If there are people nearby with implanted cardiac pacemakers or implanted fibrillatory, the electromagnetic waves from the device may affect the operation of their implanted cardiac pacemakers or defbrillators.

Do not tamper with JINS MEME Core or the charging clip or any other accessories, or carry out any of the following actions, as they may result in injury, damage or malfunction. (Do not drop, bump, excessively bend, warp, drill holes in or paint the device.)

Do not place JINS MEME or its accessories close to or above the airbag in an automobile. Serious accidents could occur if the airbag is deployed.

Please do not disassemble or modify JINS MEME Core or accessories such as the charging clip. Do not attempt to repair the device by yourself. There are no customer-repairable parts in the device, and any attempt to do so may result in an unexpected accident. If JINS MEME suffers a device failure, please contact JINS Customer Support Center.

Do not allow JINS MEME Core or the charging clip or other accessories to get wet during charging, or expose them to moisture or rain. Exposure to moisture during charging may lead to electric shock, short circuit or are.

Charge the device out of the reach of small children. Failure to do so could lead to unexpected accidents or electric shocks.

Do not place JINS MEME Core or the charging clip or other accessories near to an open game, such as a gas burner, candle or electric heater, or expose them to the hot air of a hair drier, etc. Doing so may cause a battery explosion, discoloration, warping, damage, overheating, are or device failure. When not in use, the device should be stored in its case.

Please be sure to disconnect the Bluetooth connection between JINS MEME Core and your smartphone when you are in an area where the use of wireless devices is prohibited, for example in airplanes or hospitals. Failure to do so may result in adverse effects on electronic equipment and medical equipment and may cause
malfunction. -
The lenses may crack if subjected to a strong force. If worn while playing sports in which there is strong physical contact, or struck by a hard object, the
broken lenses could cause blindness or serious injury to the eyes or head. -
If you suffer from allergies or have a sensitive skin condition, there is a possibility that you could suffer some kind of attack, or that existing symptoms could worsen. If you experience any kind of physical discomfort, stop using the device immediately and consult your doctor.
Precautions

Do not use or charge JINS MEME Core in environments of extremely high temperatures (sauna, etc.) or extremely low temperatures. Such usage could lead to burns, or discoloration, warping or damage to the device, as well as overheating, are and malfunction. The operating temperature range of the device is 0℃ to 40℃.

Always use the accessory charging clip to charge JINS MEME Core. Failure to do so could lead to electric shock, short circuit, are, malfunction or device failure.

Never attempt to use JINS MEME during charging. There is a risk of suffering burns and electric shock. Also, immediately after charging, JINS MEME Core may become very hot. Do not wear the device if it is very hot.

Do not attempt to clean JINS MEME Core during charging, such as wiping it with a damp cloth. Before cleaning JINS MEME Core, always be sure to remove the charging clip. Failure to do so could lead to electric shock, short circuit or are.

Do not use the JINS MEME Core charging terminal or charging clip micro USB terminal plug if they have dirt or foreign objects sticking to them, or if they are warped. This could lead to electric shock, short circuit or are.

When charging, always be sure to properly open and close the charging clip when using it. Failure to do so
could result in damage to the charging terminal or device failure. -
When removing the USB cable from the USB terminal or AC adapter, always be sure to pull it out by grasping the plug and not the wire. Also, never touch it with wet hands. This could lead to electric shock, short circuits, broken wires or device failure.

Follow the procedures given in the JINS MEME User Manual (Quick Guide) in order to charge the JINS MEME Core battery. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, overheating or device failure.

JINS MEME Core is waterproofed against daily life situations, such as exposure to rain or perspiration. However, do not take JINS MEME Core into situations where it would be directly exposed to water, such as a bathroom, sauna or pool, etc. This could cause a shor t circuit or device failure.

Never use abrasives, alcohol, thinner, benzene or remover, etc., to clean JINS MEME Core or the charging cl ip. Also, never wash them with water. This could lead to
discoloration and warping as wel l as damage or device failure. -
Unless specified in this Manual, never insert anything into the terminals. This could lead
to damage the internal components. -
Do not store JINS MEME Core or the charging cl ip together with hard objects made of metal, etc., which may scratch them.
Handling precautions
Please pay attention to the following points when handling JINS MEME, in order to avoid damage or device failure.
- Please use both hands to carefully put on or remove JINS MEME.
- If JINS MEME does not it your face properly, the data from the three electro-oculography sensors, the three-axis speed sensors and the three-axis gyro-sensors may not be detected properly, and correct data may not be able to be obtained. If the glasses do not it your face properly, have them adjusted at a JINS MEME store.
- JINS MEME is intended for use by persons 10 years old or over, but if JINS MEME does not it properly over your child’s face, the data from the three electro-oculography sensors, the three-axis speed sensors and the three-axis gyro-sensors may not be detected properly, and correct data may not be able to be obtained.
- When placing JINS MEME on a desk or other hard surface, be sure to have the convex lenses facing upwards. If the lenses are facing downwards, they may be scratched.
- Do not expose to heat or use in an area of high temperature. This may cause the frame to crack or warp.
- Do not go to bed wearing JINS MEME. If you fall asleep while wearing JINS MEME, this may cause warping, damage or device failure.
- Do not place JINS MEME Core or the charging clip in an ultrasonic cleaner. This may cause damage or device failure. When cleaning a JINS MEME frame, first remove the charging clip.
- If JINS MEME Core is not charged for a long time, the battery life may become shorter, the usage time may become shorter, and it may become more difficult for JINS MEME Core to power up. Make sure JINS MEME Core is charged regularly.
- The JINS MEME Core battery is built-in, and cannot be replaced. If the battery cannot be recharged, please contact JINS Customer Support Center.
- JINS MEME Core contains a lithium-ion battery. If you wish to discard JINS MEME Core, do not do this by yourself, but take it to a JINS store.
- The charging clip and other accessories should be disposed of in accordance with the laws and regulations of the area where you live.
Notes regarding electromagnetic waves
Bluetooth uses the 2.4GHz frequency band. In addition to microwave ovens and other industrial, scientific and medical equipment, this frequency band is also used by mobile body identification in-right radio that requires a license and other similar radio stations and factory production lines, etc., and by special low-power radio stations and amateur radio stations that do not require a license (hereiner, “other radio stations”).
- Before carrying out JINS MEME communication, make sure that there is no other radio station operating in the vicinity. If there is radio interference between JINS MEME and another radio station, quickly change the location where you are using JINS MEME, or disconnect Bluetooth. If this still does not resolve the problem, contact JINS Customer Support Center.
- Use the device away from other electrical appliances (such as microwave ovens, and cordless digital telephones, etc.). If you are using the device in the vicinity of other equipment, it may not be able to communicate properly and there may be radio interference. If you are experiencing communication difficulties, try moving away from those devices.
- If you are close to a broadcasting station or radio station and your device will not operate normally, try using JINS MEME in a different location. If the surrounding radio waves are too strong, your device may not be able to operate properly.
- If you are using JINS MEME in the vicinity of equipment with wireless LAN mounted, there may be radio interference which will reduce the communication speed or cause connection failure. Please try to use the device away from equipment with wireless LAN mounted.
