To avoid deterioration of waterproof and dust proof performance

Check the following and use the unit correctly.

  • The unit passes the drop test from 1.22 m on plywood of 5 cm thickness conforming to
MIL-STD810H Method 516.8-Shock. However, this does not guarantee no damage, no breakdown, or waterproof and dust proof performance in all conditions. Deformation or damage from dropping the unit or subjecting it to mechanical shock may cause deterioration of the waterproof and dust proof performance.

  • This unit does not have a design that is resistant to water pressure. Use of the unit in a location where high water pressure is applied, such as in the shower, may cause a malfunction.

  • Do not pour high-temperature water or blow hot air from a hair dryer or any other appliance on the unit directly. Also never use the unit in a place subject to high temperatures, such as in a sauna or near a heat source.

  • Handle the cap with care. The cap plays a very important role in maintenance of the waterproof and dust proof performance. When using the unit, make sure that the cap is closed completely. When closing the cap, be careful not to allow foreign objects inside. If the cap is not closed completely the waterproof and dust proof performance may deteriorate and may cause a malfunction of the unit as a result of water or dust particles entering the unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I silence “bluetooth connected” announcement?
Down load the app and go into setting u can silence it there and adjust the EQ and change the light color and pattern.

  • How many watts?
90 watts is hard (impossible) to believe. Sony does not say that anywhere. I have noit been able to find the wattage on their speakers in the specvs on their site, and the Sony rep side stepped the question. It looks like it is merant to compete with the JBL extreme.

  • Does this speaker work well with Apple Iphones?
    Yes it does.

  • Will this charge with a usb-c to usb-c cable. i returned two such speakers bcs they only do usb-a to usb-c charging ?
    Yes, that’s what i use.

  • Is this speaker suitable for indoor use?
    Yes very nice.

  • How many decibels ?
I dont know the decibels but its LOUD.

  • I see that eq settings can be saved to the device, does this include the ability to turn the “extra bass” on and off?
Yes you can turn it off from the app and u can do some dj effects as well.

  • Can they be synced with different Sony speaker models?
Yes it can. Not the Older models though. I would check before purchasing to make sure it will pair with the model you have in mind.

  • Can you connect to cell phone for calls and how is sound quality on the calls?
Yes it allows easy to connect, I use it at the shower when the water makes a lot of back noise and I can talk perfect, but during calls if you want to keep a fluid conversation, I have noticed that the mic works perfect no farther than 1m (around 3ft) farther than that the other side on the call will start to experience breaks at your voice, but if you keep close everything works nice and smooth.

  • Does it come with a charging cord to plug in to an outlet?
Yes it is included, although wish it was longer.

  • Can a electrical plug be ordered for this speaker? ours came only with a usb adapter.
i use a USB plug/charger to recharge it, and it can also be powered by it. i don’t know of a dedicated electrical plug for it. it holds it charge well, with plenty of playing time.

  • What is the frequency range?
In my experience, at least 50 feet.
