Frequently Asked Questions
Why did someone respond that there is no plastic within the kettle?****
As you are aware, when water boils, it produces steam. The steam won’t all be able to escape the sealed system, and a lot of it will come into contact with the lid before returning to the reservoir. Additionally, part of the steam will condense on the plastic since the lid is in contact with the cooler air of the adjacent room. Condensation will return to the main water supply through drips. Therefore, whether or not water splashes on the plastic lid, water that has come into touch with it will be present in the water that is delivered to your cup.
I recently purchased this and am observing what appears to be a round plastic ring at the kettle’s base. Is this truly made of plastic?****
