JPL Gateway Software User Guide
Introduction
JPL Telecom’s Gateway for Windows/Mac is a client application that allows users to control the settings on their JPL wired and wireless headsets with softphone call control, firmware updates, and more. The software enhances the user experience by providing valuable information about the state of their JPL wired and wireless headsets, such as mute and hook status from the desktop.
Smart Software:
- With Gateway the user is able to have remote call control of softphone systems installed on their PC.
- Gateway also provides a software and headset firmware update mechanism.
JPL Gateway has two core functions:
- Softphone status – Status of the active USB-headset and which softphones they are ready to be used with
- Personalize the headset – Adjust settings, control firmware updates and call control.
Secure and free software:
Gateway is free of charge and is compliant with the SOC II Type 1 data
protection standard.
How to get Gateway:
Gateway can be downloaded from: https://www.jpltele.com/resources/jpl-

What is JPL Gateway?
With JPL wired and wireless headsets, the user can enjoy remote call control with Microsoft Teams out-of-the-box, that is, without having to install the JPL Gateway software. JPL wired and wireless headsets can interwork call control, mute, and ring detection with the Microsoft Teams softphone.
Using JPL wired and wireless headsets with other softphones like Cisco Jabber, Avaya One-X Agent, etc., without installing the JPL Gateway means they will only work as an external audio device.
To use JPL wired and wireless headsets for remote call control with other softphones, the JPL Gateway software must be installed.
To use JPL wired and wireless headsets for remote call control of other softphones like Cisco Jabber, Avaya one-X Agent, etc., JPL Gateway software must be installed.
To work with other softphones, the JPL Gateway client software needs to be installed on your PC. After installation, the JPL Gateway can receive the USB HID commands and can send USB HID commands to headsets.
