EVENSKYN® PHOENIX AT A GLANCE
EVENSKYN® PHOENIX OVERVIEW
The EvenSkyn® Phoenix is a solar-powered premium microcurrent-based beauty
device (non-medical) that converts both artificial, as well as natural light,
into pulses of moderated microcurrent to lift and tone the skin of the face,
neck, and décolletage.
It features four uni-directional rollers that glide across the user’s skin
to transfer the microcurrent, while also actively helping with decreasing
swelling, puffiness, and inflammation. Successive, continuous uses of the
Phoenix device lead to a more even, contoured, and firmer appearance of the
treated skin.
The Phoenix, over successive uses, helps a user achieve the following:
- Skin firming, toning, and lifting, resulting from the constant stimulation of the face, neck, and décolletage muscles by the solar-induced microcurrent.
- Deeper product absorption is brought about by the physical rolling action of the device’s rollers.
- Reduction in fine lines resulting from the overall effect of the Phoenix’s rollers’ massaging action combined with the toning effect of the microcurrent.
PREPARATION & GENERAL GUIDELINES
- Cleanse Skin: Before use, it is recommended that skin areas to be massaged over by the Phoenix device be properly cleaned to remove oils and dirt from the skin surface.
- Conduction Gel / Water-based Skin Products: The application of water-based skin products prior to and during use is recommended to aid in conducting the device’s solar-generated microcurrent. Benefits will still be realized by users in instances where the use of a water-based/conductive skin product is not made, however, in such cases, the magnitude of results will not be to the same degree compared to when conductive mediums (such as conductive gels, or water-based moisturizers/serums) are applied to the skin.
- Results Timeline: Results can vary from person to person and are dependent on a number of factors, prime among which are user age, skin type, and overall skin health. Shortly after commencing use of the Phoenix device, although minor lifting effects may be observable by a user after a week of continuous use of the device, more lasting results, such as a persistently lifted look of facial skin features, is typically only realizable after 4-5 weeks of continuous use of the device.
- Progress Photos: It is recommended that users of the device take progress pictures to track their journey. Progress photos (such as `selfies’) allow a user to observe the gradual improvements in skin texture and the improvement in toning and contouring of face/neck features.
- Microcurrent Level & Sensation: The microcurrent feature of the device is an important auxiliary function to the device’s primary mechanical roller massaging feature. It is, by design, limited to a level of 15µA to allow daily usability of the device. It is, thus, noteworthy that users of the Phoenix device seldom feel the unique sensation associated with microcurrent. The absence of such a sensation associated with low-level microcurrent in the skin is not an indication that the microcurrent function is not active. A slight `static’ sensation or a stronger pulling sensation on facial features when rolling the device over one’s skin can at times allow users to feel a minor microcurrent sensation, however, this is only incidental and atypical.
- Presence of Light (Optimal Use Scenario): The device ought to be used in a well-lit environment, or where rays of sunshine are present, directly or indirectly. This allows for proper and constant microcurrent generation. The Phoenix device, however, does not have an on/off switch and does not require any activation steps to work. Being present in a well-lit environment is customarily sufficient to allow instantaneous and ongoing generation of microcurrent to enable optimal use, and resultantly, accrual of maximum benefit.
TECHNOLOGICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Four Roller Design
Improving on a 2-roller design, the EvenSkyn® Phoenix’s 4-roller design has
been further perfected by ensuring that all the rollers synchronously turn in
the same direction. This synchronous movement allows for a remarkably strong
pulling effect on the target skin area.
A quad/four roller design comprises a pair of 2-rollers, which are a
significant improvement over single rollers (that limit coverage and
uniformity of massaging physical contact). The 4-roller unidirectional design
allows the Phoenix to not only cover more skin area over a shorter duration,
the novel design also aids in more evenly spreading mechanical massaging
forces over a treatable skin area. This results in more sustained, continuous,
and significantly more pronounced stimulation of target skin and muscle
tissue.
Skin Contact
The Phoenix’s rollers are placed at an ideal 115° angle from each other. This
allows for maximum skin contact as the device’s rollers are able to
effortlessly glide over, and make contact with all treatable face and neck
skin areas.
Metal Alloy Construction
The top-to-bottom superior metal alloy construction of the Phoenix not only
gives the device immense structural rigidity, it also serves the functional
role of being the ideal medium to optimally transfer the micro currents
generated in the device to the skin area being treated.
TECHNOLOGICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Charging
To maximize the solar-based microcurrent generation, it is advisable that
use of the device be made in a brightly-lit area. Note: When exposed to a
natural or artificial light source continuously for at least 30 minutes, the
Phoenix will hold power for a 24-hour period sufficient enough to allow a
5-minute session even in the absence of light.
USAGE DIRECTION
Step 1 Under-Eye Bags
Beginning from the tear trough and Nasojugal groove area, glide the Phoenix
bar over the under-eye area, towards the temples. The motion is away from the
center of the face (in either direction), and moving upwards as you move
closer to the temples.
Step 2 Brow Lifting
Glide the Phoenix from the glabella towards the temples, over the eyebrows.
The movement is a slow, controlled, gentle, sweeping outward motion.
Step 3 Crow’s Feet
Beginning in the middle of the upper cheekbones area, glide the Phoenix bar
diagonally upwards, towards the temple area. Make sure to apply very gentle
force as you move the rollers over the laugh/character lines over the outer
corners of your eyes.
Step 4 Nasolabial Fold
Begin the slow outward gliding motion from the outer part of the upper lip
area (that is adjacent to the philtrum), over the cheeks and nasolabial fold
line, and towards the sides of the face.
Step 5 Mesolabial Fold
Gently begin the rolling and gliding motion from the outer edges of the lips
(oral commissures) outwards and upwards, towards the ears.
Step 6 Glabellar Lines
In vertical, controlled, gentle strides, move the Phoenix’s roller head from
the glabella towards the hairline. Repeat the vertical motion for the rest of
the forehead area.
Step 7 Neck & Jowls
Move up vertically from the collar bone area to the jawline. Repeat until full
neck coverage is achieved (at least two times or more over the same skin
area).
FREQUENCY & DURATION
-
Given the moderated level of microcurrent generated for regular skin stimulation and maintenance, the EvenSkyn® Phoenix can be used daily.
-
During a session, all treatable areas, such as all of the facial, neck, and décolletage areas, can be simultaneously treated for up to a maximum total duration of 45 minutes over a 24-hour period. However, if a user only intends to treat a given singular area of the three mentioned above, such as the full facial area only, or just the neck region, the maximum time allowable for the usage of the device per said area would be 15 minutes in total over a 24-hour period.
-
When using another stronger current generating device (such as the EvenSkyn Lumo), limit the use of the EvenSkyn® Phoenix to 3 days a week (ideally, on alternating days), and avoid using both devices on the same day to not overstimulate the target tissue.
WARNINGS & PROHIBITIONS
Persons in poor health, with sensory abnormalities, with infected or inflamed skin, taking skin medication (that would make the use of microcurrent inadvisable), females who are in the early stages of their pregnancy, and those that have metal allergies, ought not to use the device without first consulting a board-certified physician. In particular, anyone with any known allergy, sensitive skin, bone disorder, anyone who has recently had surgery, those that have implants, and those receiving ongoing treatment from a medical facility ought to strongly consider consulting with a physician prior to commencing the use of the EvenSkyn® Phoenix bar. Furthermore, those under the age of majority are prohibited from using this device.
MAINTENANCE
Place in a dry cool place when the device is not in use.
To clean the device, use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the surface of the
product. Do not use an abrasive cloth such as metal polishing cloths to clean
the Phoenix device.
