PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
- Do not block or cover air outlets.
- This product is intended for indoor residential and office use only, not for industrial or other commercial applications.
- Do not plug anything additional into the same circuit.
- If you have any questions about whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualified electrician. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury, or even death may result if not adhered to.
- Always use your heater with a working smoke detector located in the vicinity of your heater
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND POWER CORD
Check to ensure that the electrical service being used is adequate for the
model you’ve chosen. The electrical rating of your new heater is defined on
the serial sticker on the unit.
Please refer to the rating when checking electrical requirements to ensure
they meet the electrical codes of your location.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including:
- Read all the instructions before using this heater
- Do not use this heater if it malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not use this heater outdoors. Do not place on or near a hot gas, electric burner, microwave, or heated oven.
- To protect against fire, electric shock, or injury, do not place the cord, plug, or unit in water or other liquid.
- The wrong use conflicting with the safeguards voids the customer of the right to warranty service.
- Do not modify any part of this product.
- Do not insert any objects into the product or block the airflow in any way.
- Ensure that the power supply you use has an appropriate voltage rating.
- If the electrical outlet you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, you should have a qualified electrician install the proper outlet.
- Do not use this unit with any extension cords or adapter plugs.
- If the cord or plug is damaged in any way, please call the Royal Sovereign Service
- Turn the unit off and unplug, when cleaning the heater or when the heater will not be used for an extended time period.
- When overheating should occur the built-in overheating safety device will shut the unit off.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use provided handle when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from the front of the heater fan and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Do not use the heater unattended. Use of extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, invalids, disabled persons, or pets.
- Do not operate the heater with a damaged power cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
- Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in a bathroom, laundry area, or similar locations, or near sinks, washing machines, swimming pools, or other sources of water. Never locate a heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use it in damp environments such as flooded basements.
- Do not place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven, or any surface that might allow the heater to tip or fall.
- For proper operation, the heater should be placed on a smooth,non-combustible surface. Do not place on rugs, carpet, vinyl flooring, or other plastic surfaces. Not for use outdoors or in wet areas.
- Never use with an extension cord
- Do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons or property.
GENERAL USE
- Do not block air outlets with any obstacles.
- Do not insert any objects into the heater.
- Do not pour water on the housing or control panel.
- Do not place heavy items or sit on the heater.
- Never pull or damage the power cord in any way.
- Don’t let your children use the appliance.
- The repair of this unit must be performed by a professional. Mistakes in repair are dangerous and can bring great hazards to the user.
Do not touch the body of the heater when in use. This heater is hot when in
use, to avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use
handles when moving this heater.
Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near
combustible materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. DO NOT USE in
areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable materials are used or stored. Keep
combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes,
and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep
them away from the sides and rear.
The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature, this plug will fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
DESCRIPTION
ASSEMBLY
- Turn the heater upside down.
- Remove the two-wing nuts from the base of the heater. (Fig 1)
- Align the tip-over switch off the heater to the round opening in the base. Align the power cord of the heater to the slot on the base. (Fig 2)
- Using the two wind nuts, thread onto the heater (Fig 3)
SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions
and recommendations listed in this manual.
During the heater’s initial use, you may experience a slight odor or smoking.
This is the result of residual lubrication on the steel “burning off”. This is
normal and will go away
after a few minutes of use.
Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use
in a bathroom, laundry area, or similar locations, or near sinks, washing
machines, swimming
pools, or other sources of water. Never locate a heater where it may fall into
a bathtub or other water container. Do not use a heater outdoors. Do not use
it in damp environments such as flooded basements.
Switch HIGH: provides 800 watts of heat output with TWO tubes Illuminated
Switch LOW: provides 400 watts of heat output with ONE tube illuminated.
OPERATION
Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest.

Plug the heater directly into a 120volt A.C., 60 Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the plug fits tightly in the electrical outlet. A loose connection may cause overheating and damage to the plug or heater.
To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that is servicing other electrical needs. Ensure that the heater is at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from walls, furniture, and other obstacles. -
The heater has two heat settings: 400 and 800 watts. Rotate the Control Dial to the desired setting. Use the 800-watt setting to raise the room temperature quickly. Use the 400-watt setting to maintain the room temperature.

Rotate the control dial to the OFF position to turn off the heater. Unplug the heater when not in use.

LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY
Royal Sovereign warrants each heater to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, free of charge, when delivered to an authorized Royal Sovereign service center, of any defective part(s) thereof, other than parts damaged in transit. This warranty is in effect to the original purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase and is not transferable. This warranty shall apply only if the heater is used in accordance with the factory-provided instructions that accompany it.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty excludes and does not cover defects, malfunctions, or failures
of your Royal Sovereign Heater, caused by repairs by unauthorized persons or
service centers, mishandling, improper installation, modification, or
unreasonable use including incorrect voltage, acts of God, or failure to
provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. This warranty is in lieu of any
and all expressed warranties. In no event shall Royal Sovereign be liable for
consequential or incidental damages. This limitation would not apply if you
live in a location that does not permit the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal
rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or
province to province.
