IMPORTANT: Before operating this appliance, make sure it has been
properly installed according to the appliance’s Owner’s Manual.
The Temperature Control UI is located above the external dispenser on the
freezer door. For your convenience, your refrigerator and freezer controls are
preset at the factory.
For your convenience, your refrigerator and freezer temperature controls are
set to the recommended set points at the factory. When you first install your
refrigerator, make sure the temperature controls are still set to the
recommended set points. The recommended set points are 37°F (3°C) for the
refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.
IMPORTANT:
-
The recommended settings should be correct for normal household refrigerator use. The controls are set correctly when milk or juice is as cold as you like and when ice cream is firm.
NOTE: Areas such as a garage, basement, or porch may have higher humidity or extreme temperatures. You may need to adjust the temperature away from the recommended settings to accommodate for these conditions. -
When the power is on, the temperature display shows the set point temperature of the compartment.
-
Wait 24 hours for your refrigerator to cool completely before adding food. If you add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil.
NOTE: Adjusting the refrigerator and freezer controls to a colder than recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster. -
If the temperature is too warm or too cold in the refrigerator or freezer, first check the air vents to be sure they are not blocked before adjusting the controls.
-
Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments. Recheck the temperatures before other adjustments are made.

FAQS
Why is the temperature display flashing?
The temperature control is flashing to indicate that the refrigerator or freezer is operating in the defrost cycle. The control will return to normal operation when the defrost cycle is complete.
Why is there frost on my freezer shelves and ice in my ice bin?
Your refrigerator has a factory-set temperature control. If your household temperature is above 70°F (21°C), you may need to adjust your refrigerator’s temperature control to a colder setting. See “Temperature Control” for more information.
Why is my refrigerator not cooling properly?
Make sure that the power cord is plugged in and that the power switch is set to ON. If you have just installed your refrigerator, wait 24 hours before checking the temperature again. If your refrigerator still does not cool properly, see “Troubleshooting” for more information.
Why are there condensation droplets on my food?
Condensation may form on foods when you first put them in your refrigerator. This occurs because foods release warm moisture as they cool down and this moisture becomes cold and condenses on the surface of the food. This condensation will disappear after a few hours, once the food has cooled down completely.
What should I do if I notice a foul odor from my refrigerator?
Remove all food from your refrigerator and leave it unplugged for about an hour to air it out. Then wipe out any spilled liquids and replace the food items, being careful not to overload your shelves or bins with too much food. If you still notice an odor after this, see “Troubleshooting” for more information.
Why does my ice maker stop making ice?
There could be several reasons why this happens, including overloading your ice maker with too much ice or not having enough water in your water supply line. See “Troubleshooting” for more information.
