IMPORTANT INFORMATION

INTENDED USE
This collar is designed to restrict flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial rotation promoting patient recovery.

PRECAUTIONS

  • This product is to be fitted by a physician (or properly licensed practitioner) who is familiar with the purpose for which they are responsible. The physician or practitioner is
    responsible for providing wearing instructions and precautions to other healthcare practitioners or care providers involved in the patient’s care and the patient.

  • Consult your physician (or properly licensed practitioner) immediately if you experience sensation changes, unusual reactions, swelling or prolonged pain while using this product.

  • Follow the instructions of your physician (or properly licensed practitioner) for length and duration of use.

With a patient in NEUTRAL ALIGNMENT, measure the vertical distance from the tip of the chin to the

The cervical region (head, neck, and back) of the patient must be in neutral alignment before a measurement is taken.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  1. Pre-form collar prior to fitting. To perform the front panel, roll the panel sides inward with both hands.

  2. To pre-form the back panel, roll the panel into a cylinder.

  3. To apply patient must be in NEUTRAL ALIGNMENT. Slide the front portion of the collar up the patient’s neck and properly position the chin support.
    Note: before applying the collar, verify that the proper size is selected.

  4. Center the back portion onto the patient’s neck. With the front portion properly secured, use the bilateral hook and loop straps and fasten the portions together.

  5. Minor adjustments can be made to the straps and the front and back flex tabs to achieve the desired comfort.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

The collar features three removable pads that can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Air dry flat. Replacement pads are available for use during washings.
