What’s New

The EagleEye Director II camera version 2.0 provides the following new features:

EagleEye Director II App
Web Interface (requires Internet Explorer 11 and Google Chrome version 65 and higher)
Cascading for two cameras
Group Series, Bring Your Own Device, and Automatic connection modes
Configurable position of the PIP window

Japan customers: Version 2.0 enables Bluetooth ® and allows the camera to use Wi-Fi. If your camera shipped before May 2018 and you update its software to version 2.0 r later, you need to add a new Technical Conformity Mark product label to the camera to indicate it complies with the Japan Radio Law. (Note that future Polycom ® RealPresence ® Group Series system software may bundle EagleEye Director II camera version 2.0 or later.) You do not have to replace the label if ou plan to continue using a version earlier than 2.0. Contact Polycom Japan to obtain the new product label.

Software Updates
Software update scenarios can involve two cascaded EagleEye Director II, cameras, a primary camera, and a secondary camera, that have different software version numbers. The following table lists the resulting software versions of the cameras after a software update.

Hardware and Software Requirements

To use an EagleEye Director II as a USB camera, and to use Microsoft Surface Hub for Skype for Business and Microsoft Lync, the following minimum requirements must be met.

The following table lists known issues in all releases of Polycom EagleEye Director II.
These release notes do not provide a complete listing of all known issues that are included in the software. Issues not expected to significantly impact customers with standard voice and video conferencing environments may not be included. In addition, the information in these release notes is provided as- is at the time of release and is subject to change without notice.

Camera Software Packaged with RealPresence Group Series System Software
The EagleEye Director II camera is interoperable with RealPresence Group Series 300, RealPresence Group Series 310, RealPresence Group Series 500, and RealPresence Group Series 700 systems. EagleEye Director II software builds are bundled with the RealPresence Group Series software version packages as follows.
