STAINLESS STEEL FILTERS

About Your New Filters
Stainless Steel Baffle Filters do not need linings or mesh inside of the filters and are completely constructed out of stainless steel. The stainless steel construction allows them to be used again after being cleaned or going through the dishwasher.

How do Baffle Filters Work?
They function by forcing the grease-filled air to quickly and continuously change direction as it passes through the filter. The grease is unable to change direction as fast as the air carrying them, they end up getting caught on the metal blades and then trapped in the filter tray. These filters are both efficient and require less maintenance.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Do not install the range hood near open doors and windows to avoid reduced performance. (Fig.1)

  2. Install the range hood directly above the cooktop. The optimal distance between the cooktop and the lower edge of the range hood is 24″ to 36″. (Fig.2) Install at the height
appropriate to your ceiling. Make sure the chimney reaches the ce由ng. If your ceiling leaves the hood a few inches higher or lower than 24″ to 36″ you can still install it  without a major loss of performance

  3. For optimal performance, do not over-extend the exhaust tube and avoid unnecessary bending. (Fig.3)

  4. After hanging the unit on the wall, ensure the range hood is straight and level. (Fig.4)

  5. The air outlet must be connected to chimney flumes or combustion gas ducts. Under no circumstances should the air outlet be connected to ventilation ducts for rooms in which fuel-burning appliances are installed.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

RANGE HOOD INSTALLATION

FIG 1

Installations :
Measure the distance between the stovetop and the bottom of the range hood. A distance of 24″ to 32″ is recommended. Due to different ceiling height configurations, recommended height may not be applicable.

  1. mark the leveling point of the hood. Position two mounting screws on the wall, leaving 1/8″ space away from the wall.

  2. Measure the width of the chimney then attach the chimney-mounting brackets to the wall as high as you want the upper chimney to be.
NOTE: Use threaded drywall anchors only when mounting the hood on sheetrock. Mounting the hood on wall studs or lumbar is highly recommended.

  3. Align hood-mounting holes to the screws on the wall and hook the hood into place. Tighten screws to secure the hood to the wall.
CAUTION: Make certain the range hood is secure before releasing!

  4. Connect the venting duct between the hood and the exhaust opening either on the ceiling or wall. Use aluminum tape to make all joints secure and air-tight.

  5. Connect the range hood to a designated standard outlet (please refer to the product label for the suitable voltage of this unit) or cut off the plug and connect three wires to the house wires and cap with wire connectors. Connect according to colors.
Locate the 6″ round aluminum duct (F) and attach it to the top air outlet on the main body of the range hood with HVAC foil tape (not included). Make sure it is connected
    tightly Air outlet
SAFETY WARNING: Risk of electrical shock. This range hood must be properly grounded. Make sure this is done by a qualified electrician in accordance with all applicable national and local electrical codes. Before connecting wires, switch power off at the service panel and lock the service panel to prevent power from being switched on accidentally.

  6. Store excess wires in the wiring box.

  7. Install both chimneys and tighten screws to secure the lower chimney to the range hood as shown in Figure 5.

  8. To avoid scratching the chimney, extend the upper chimney slowly and carefully to the chimney-mounting bracket and tighten screws as shown in Figure 6. Place the bottom of the Outer Chimney into Core Body’s seating located near vent hole

RECIRCULATING CHARCOAL FILTERS

Skip this step if you are installing a Ducted Range Hood. Charcoal Filters are only included with Ductless Models.

Capable of Vent-less or recirculation Operation, please install this charcoal carbon filter as picture. (NO NEED TO DISASSEMBLE THE VOLUTE)
Warning: if installed this charcoal filter is ductless or in recirculation mode, the noise would be louder, and the airflow would be less.
