Sodium Hypochlorite cleaning solution for AQUOS cytometers
(AQUOS Sodium Hypochlorite Solution)

For In Vitro Diagnostic Use

INTENDED USE

AQUOS Sodium Hypochlorite Solution is used for cleaning from protein buildup and rinsing of tubes and flow cells on AQUOS flow cytometers. The solution is used as an aid in vitro diagnostics.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION
This solution is filtered with 5.25% NaClO. It is used both in automatic and user-invoked cleaning and bleaching cycles to counteract protein buildup that occurs in tubing and the flow cell.
PRINCIPLES
Sodium Hypochlorite reacts with protein buildup in the instrument. It is used as a preventative measure for optimal system operation as well as for corrective measures.
REACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The solution contains ultra-filtered 5.25% sodium hypochlorite and surfactants.

PROCEDURE
Perform the following before Start-up:

  1. Open the reagent door.
  2. Add 2 mL AQUOS Sodium Hypochlorite Solution to a 12 x 75 mm tube and place it in the designated position of the plate holder.
  3. Discard daily.

STORAGE, STABILITY, AND DISPOSAL
Store tightly capped at 18-26°C when not in use. The solution is stable for the period shown on the bottle label.
Do not use the product beyond the expiration date. Refer to the bottle label for the lot number and expiration date. The working solution removed from the container must be discarded daily.
Dispose of waste products, unused products, and contaminated packaging in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

PREPARATION

No preparation is required. The product is ready to use. Refer to the Instructions for Use (IFU) PN B21896 for information on how to use this reagent.

STATEMENT OF WARNINGS

                 DANGER

Sodium Hypochlorite 1 – 10%
Contact with acids liberates toxic gas.
Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
Very Toxic to aquatic life.
Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
Avoid release to the environment.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Rinse skin with water.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove
contact lenses, if present, and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
Collect spillage.

  1. Contact with acids liberates toxic gas.

  3. Risk of serious damage to eyes.
  4. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  5.  Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
  6.  In case of an accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).
  7. After contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
  8. Do not use products beyond open containers or closed container expiration dates.
  9. Do not use it as a disinfectant.
  10. Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and appropriate handling of this product per its MSDS.
  11. Dispose of it properly.
  12. Do not reuse the bottle.

  1.  The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of manufactured products to the requirements of normative and technical documentation. The safety and quality of products is guaranteed throughout the entire shelf life.
  2.  The manufacturer is responsible for product defects, except for defects that have arisen because of violation of the rules of use, transportation, and storage conditions, or a third party or force majeure.
  3. The manufacturer will replace the product at its own expense, if technical and functional (consumer properties) do not comply with the regulatory and technical documentation, if these disadvantages were caused by latent defects in materials or workmanship by the product manufacturer.
