Installation Warnings
- Ventilation Slots and openings in the case are provided for ventilation to ensure the reliable operation of the video product and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not the blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or heat register. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided or the video product manufacturer instructions have been followed.
- Outdoor Antenna Grounding: lf an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the video product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984 provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode.
- Power Lines: An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines, other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching or approaching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them might be fatal. Installing an outdoor antenna can be hazardous and should be left to a professional antenna installer.
- Lightning: For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the video product due to lightning and power line surges.
Compulsory Warnings
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by service Technician, in order to avoid a hazard. This product has not been designed for any uses other than those specified in this booklet.
Laser Safety
This compact disc player is classified as a CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT. Only qualified service personnel should remove the cover or attempt to service this device due to possible eye injury. Invisible laser radiation when open and interlock failed or defeated. Avoid direct exposure to beam.

INTRODUCTION
- Loading batteries to the remote control
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Load two AAA (UM-4 or R03) batteries into the battery compartment.
- Make sure that the batteries have been inserted in the correct polarities matching to the symbols, marked in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment cover.
- When replacing batteries, replace both batteries.
- Do not mix new and used batteries operating together, otherwise, the operation lifetime will be much shorter than normal.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for a prolonged period of time.
- The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Be sure to aim the remote control directly at the infrared sensor of the unit during operation.
- If the sensor has been covered or there is a large object between the remote control and the sensor, the sensor will not respond.
- The sensor may be not able to receive the remote signal when it is exposed to direct sunlight or a strong artificial light (fluorescent or strobe light). In this case, change the direction of the light or reposition the unit to avoid direct lighting.
About DVD
DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) is a digital video medium under the MPEG II format, featuring a variety of revolutionary entertainment capabilities. The MPEG II video compression technology provides capacity for an excellent picture of minimum 500 lines resolution on screen, up to 8 language soundtracks, up to 9 views from different camera angles and up to 32 language subtitles (provided the DVD disc itself supports these features).

DVD Region Code
DVD discs and DVD players are manufactured under the worldwide agreed DVD
Regional Code System that the player will operate only with the corresponding
disc of the same Regional Code.
Care of disc
Video disc contains high-density compressed data that needs proper handling
- Hold the disc with your fingers. Hold the disc’s outer edge and/or the center spindle hole. Do not touch the disc
- Do not bend or press the disc. Do NOT expose the disc
- Store discs in a cabinet vertically, in dry condition. Prevent exposure to:
- Direct sunlight
- Heat or exhaust from a heating device.
- Extreme humidity
- Clean the disc surface with a soft, dry cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc surface gently, radically, from the center toward the outer edge.
- Do not apply thinner, alcohol chemical solvent, or sprays when cleaning. Such cleaning fluids will permanently damage the disc surface.

Notes
The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Be sure to aim the
remote control directly at the infrared sensor during operation. When the
sensor is covered or there is a large object between the remote control and
the sensor, the sensor cannot receive signals. The sensor may not be able to
receive signals properly when it is exposed to direct sunlight or strong
artificial light (such as a fluorescent or strobe light). In this case, change
the direction of the light or reposition the unit to avoid direct lighting.

Battery installation of the remote controller
Place two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure the polarities are correct. There should be no large obstacles between the remote controller and the main unit

When making connections between this unit and other components, be sure all connections with power off.

AudioNideo cables are connected according to the different color identification and they should be fitted firmly.

- Connect the DVD 5.1CH connections with Subwoofer 5.1CH Input.
- Connect the Subwoofer 5.1CH Output with 5 speakers. Make sure the connections match the connecting jacks.
- after correct and safe connection, to make sure the Setup is well done. Press “Setup” in the remote control, Highlight “Audio”, and make sure Bass management is “ON”.
- If no sound is heard from the Rear speakers and Center, make sure to switch to 5.1CH in the back side of the Subwoofer.
- When the input signal is only two channels (R/L CH), please switch to 2.1CH, that will have the 5.1CH output.
- When the input signal is only two channels (R/L CH), switch to 5.1CH that will have the 2.1CH output.
- Only adapted to 120V-60Hz.
SYSTEM CONNECTIONS
NOTE:
Keep the subwoofer speaker out of reach of children so as to prevent them from
inserting their hands or alien substances into the duct (hole) of the
subwoofer speaker. lf you place a speaker near your TV set, screen color may
be distorted because of the magnetic field generated by the speaker. If this
occurs, place the speaker away from your TV set.

During playback, push this switch to turn on or off this unit.

To open the disc tray, press OPEN/CLOSE
To close the disc tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again. -
During DVD playback, press TITLE to display the DVD title menu or play the first title.

During DVD playback, press MENU to display the disc menu of the current title.

During VCD/DVD playback, press DISPLAY to display the current time counter position.

During VCD/SVCD playback, Press PBC to select the mode of PBC On or PBC Off PBC is: the playback control used to navigate VCD/SVCD.

These keys are used to input the time, as well as title, chapter and track numbers

When a CD, DVD or VCD is playing (with PBC off), press the 0-10 keys to select a track directly.

When a numeric item is displayed on the screen, press the 0-10 keys to select the desired entry.

During AVI, DVD, VCD or SVCD playback, press SLOW for slow motion playback.

Once you press SLOW, the disc will play at 1/2,1/3,1/4,1/5,1/6,1/7and normal speed.

Press PLAY to resume normal playback

During AVI, DVD, CD or VCD playback, press PREV to play the previous chapter, title or track.

During AVI, DVD, CD or VCD playback, press NEXT to play the next chapter, title or track.

During AV, DVD, CD or VCD playback, press NEXT to play the next chapter, title or track.

Each press of the REPEAT button will change the repeat mode.

During VCD, CD playback, there are three modes: repeat track, repeat All and Off.

During AVI/DVD, playback, there are three modes: repeat chapter, repeat title, repeat all and Of.
Note: During VCD playback, the PBC mode must be set to Off -
During playback, press A-B to select point A

Press it again to select point B. The player will repeat the section

Press PLAY to resume normal playback.

Press DVD/USB to disp of USB.
MUTE
- Press MUTE to turn off the audio.
- Press MUTE again to resume normal sound.
CHANNEL
During VCD/SVCD playback, press CHANNEL repeatedly to select the channel of
audio output: Left / Right/ Mix /Stereo.
CLEAR
Press CLEAR to delete the numbers you have entered when programming.
PAUSE
Press PAUSE during playback to pause playback.
PLAY
Press PLAY to start playing.
STOP
- Press STOP once during playback to stop and hold playback.
- Press PLAY to resume playback from the point you have pressed STOP.
- Press STOP twice to stop playback completely.
RETURN
When the PBC is on, press return, and you can select once again from the menu
displaying.
This function is only valuable to VCD.
ZOOM
During VCD/SVCD/DVDIAVI playback, press ZOOM to magnify the image P2X3X~4X1/21/31/4 as follows:
STEP
When playing AVI/DVD, VCD, SV©CD disc, press STEP once, and the picture
changes to the next frame Press PLAY to resume normal play.
SETUP
- Press the SETUP button on you remote control to access the setup menu. The setup menu is a Multi-level Menu.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select the menu option that you need.
- Use the forward and backward to go back to the previous level menu or to enter the next level menu.
- Press ENTER button to confirm selection.
- Press the SETUP button to exit setup.
VOL
- Press VOL + to increase the volume.
- Press VOL – to reduce the volume.
SUBTITLE
- During DVD playback,
- Press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select from up to 32 subtitle languages.
- Note: This function is disc-specific (language will vary)
ANGLE
- During DVD playback,
- Press ANGLE to view scenes from different camera angles.
- Press ANGLE repeatedly to change from one camera angle to another.
- Note: This function is disc specific.
LANGUAGE
- Press LANGUAGE repeatedly to select the languages.
- Some discs may not have this function.
- So it depends on the DVD disc. For DVD music disc can be changed to 2.1CH or 5.1CH.
SEARCH

DVD disc
Press SEARCH to select CHAPTER, TITLE or TIME, and you need to press it several times to switch
CHAPTER, TITLE or TIME, when you insert the number key, it will turn to the desired item. -
VCD disc
Press SEARCH to select TRACK, TIME or DISC TIME, and you need to press it several times to switch
TRACK, TIME or DIsC TIME, when you insert number key, it will turn to the desired item.
PROG
Press PROG to get the program menu when reading DVD & VCD, then program your
wanted songs. (DVD program needs TITLE and MENU.)
VIDEO
Press this key to switch to INTERLACE-YUV, P-SCAN YPBPR and S-VIDEO.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Should your DVD player develop a problem, please check below before requesting service:
Symptom | Check and Action |
---|---|
No Power | • Check if the power cord has been properly connected to the power |
outlet.
• Check if the main power has been switched on.
Does not play| • No disc, load a disc.
• Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.
• Disc’s region code does not match to the player.
• Disc is not correct type for player.
• Disc is damaged or dirty, clean the disc or try another disc.
• Moisture may be condensed inside the player. Remove the disc and leave the unit power on for one or two hours.
No Picture| • Check if the TV set has power on, use TV remote to select A/V signal for DVD rather than broadcast.
• Check if the system connection is proper and secure.
• Check if the connection cables are damaged.
• Clean the disc.
Picture
noise / distorted
| • The disc is dirty or damaged. Clean the disc or try another disc.
• Reset the color system of the player or the TV set.
Try to direct the player to the TV set instead of via other components, such as a VCR.
Picture not full screen| • Select the screen format from the player’s SETUP MENU, see “SETUP MENU “in this manual.
• Select the screen format from the DVD disc menu.
Malfunction
| • Should the player develop a malfunction, unplug the player for
30 minutes. After 30 minutes, power on the player, and the restore function should reset the player.

Cannot SKIP or SEARCH
|
Some discs are programmed that do not allow users to SKIP or SEARCH at some sections, especially at the beginning WARNING section.
• Single Chapter disc cannot apply SKIP function.
No sound or sound output not complete
|
Check if the TV and Amplifier have been switched on, and correctly set. Check if the TV and Amplifier system connection is secured.
• Press the LANGUAGE button to select other audio tracks output of disc.
Check if the MUTE function of the TV or Amplifier has been activated.
• There will be no sound output during PAUSE/ STEP / SLOW and SEARCH.
MP3 disc no sound or noisy
|
When PC program files or other data files are mixed with MP3 files on the same disc, the player may play the non-MP3 files with noise or no sound.
Check the disc, if all the files on disc are MP3 files Skip the file, try other files.
Remote control does not function
|
Remove the obs! acles between the remote control and the player.
• Point the remote control towards the remote sensor on the player.
• Check if the batteries of the remote control have been loaded with correct polarities.
• Replace the batteries of the remote control.

90-day Warranty
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase. During
this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or
component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible
