boss one Connectivity, security and flexibility for HVAC/R units

boss one, the boss of a single device

All the usability and reliability of the boss family for managing the connectivity of a single HVAC/R unit.

  • Responsive web interface, viewable from mobile devices;
  • Alarms via email and instant messaging;
  • Graphs and log reports with up to 50 variables;
  • Management of Modbus, BACnet and SNMP v3 field protocolsM
  • Integration with CAREL Cloud solutions;
  • Management of XML and MQTT data exchange protocols;
  • Remote update of application software.

boss one is the web interface for CAREL programmable controllers used to manage, through graphic interaction, the parameters and status of HVAC/R units, coordinate alarm signals and share variables and parameters with the BMS and cloud solutions. Access to and settings of all these features are managed and protected in accordance with the latest IoT security standards .CAREL-boss-one-Connectivity-Security-and-Flexibility-for-HVA-R-Units-

  • Connectivity
    Standard communication protocols to field devices and the cloud, so as to interact with a wide range of external centralised systems.

  • Security
    Encrypted communication protocols and management of access credentials in accordance with the latest standards.

  • Flexibility
    The data to be shared with external centralised systems and the information to be displayed on the fully user-customizable graphic interface can be configured.

Connectivity

Integration with BMS systems boss one, through management of the Modbus TCP server, BACnet server and SNMP agent protocols (v1, v2 and v3), can share the information acquired by the CAREL controller to all of the main high-level BMS systems. Integration with CAREL Cloud systems boss one allows automatic synchronisation of data and alarms with the CAREL RED and RemotePRO  Cloud.

Security

Secure data and navigation boss one uses the HTTPS protocol to transmit its graphic interface, thus offering confidential data transfer via the web to an external device. Data transmission to external systems via the MQTT and XML protocols is also encrypted. A custom Unix operating system guarantees greater system reliability.

Flexibility

Protocol configuration With boss one, the index and all of the properties of each individual variable can be selected after configuring the protocols from the web interface. Navigation: all of the boss one pages can be navigated from a mobile device, both those for programming and those for everyday operation. The pages automatically adapt to the device they are being displayed on, minimising the need for users to resize pages and scroll the contents.

systems, to monitor the situation in all of the systems on a single interface. Centralised management of the systems makes it possible to increase reliability through analysis of alarms and planning of service activities.

Integration with MQTT/XML Cloud systems
boss one can use the MQTT and XML protocols to share data and alarms in real time with cloud systems based on these protocols.

User security
boss one offers access management through users and profiles, with credentials that can also be centralised using systems based on the LDAP protocol. All accesses and actions performed by the various users are recorded and available at any time. Features such as password and password expiry security control and blocking of users in the event of multiple incorrect password entry attempts are always enabled.

Customization
boss one makes it easy to customise the user interface, using the integrated features on the web pages to change images/logos and the possibility to create maps with the c.web tool.CAREL-boss-one-Connectivity-Security-and-

System under control
boss sends emails or instant messages in the event of alarms, as well as reports, ensuring the status of the unit is under control at all times, even on the move from a smartphone.
