ASSEMBLY

Attaching the Stand

CAUTION: When attaching the stands to the TV set, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

Mounting on a Wall

CAUTION:

  • Remove the stands before installing the TV on a wall mount bracket (not supplied) by performing the stand attachment in reverse.
  • The distance between the holes is 100 x 100 mm in width and height. Tighten the screws (M4x8, not supplied ) firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward. Do not over-tighten.

NOTE: If there is no input signal, the TV will automatically enter the standby state or shut off.

Remote control operation

  1. Open the battery cover.
  2. Insert two AAA-size batteries (not supplied), observing the proper polarity markings inside the battery compartment.
  3. Close the battery cover.
    • CAUTION: Do not mix old and new batteries, as this may damage the remote control.
    • NOTE: When the remote control is not going to be used for long periods of time, remove the batteries.

CONNECTIONS

  • The HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) function allows you to send audio from your ARC-compliant TV to ARC-compliant audio devices (e.g. home theatre) through a single HDMI connection.
  • With the HDMI ARC connection, you do not need to connect the extra audio cable that sends the sound of the TV picture to the ARC-compliant audio devices. The HDMI ARC connection combines both signals.
  • Use an HDMI cable (not included) that supports the ARC function to connect your ARC-compliant audio devices with your ARC-compliant TV.
  • Ensure HDMI ARC is turned on in the SETUP menu refer.

OPERATING YOUR TV

Turning On/Off Your TV

  • Connect the power cord to the power socket after you have completed all the physical connections. The TV will enter Standby Mode and the red LED indicator will illuminate.
  • In Standby Mode, press the power button on the main unit or on the remote control to turn the TV on. The red LED indicator will turn blue.

First Time Installation

  • Press ◄/►/▲/▼ to select your desired setting and press the ENTER button to confirm.

Language:

  • Select your desired language to be displayed on the menu. The default on-screen menu language is set as French.

Country:

  • Select the country where you will operate the TV. The default country is set as France.

Environment:

  • Select the Home Mode or Shop Mode.
  • When ATV tuning, you can press the MENU button to Skip ATV tuning and start DTV tuning.
  • If you want to skip the DTV tuning, press the MENU button to interrupt the tuning.

Selecting the Input Source

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control to display the Input Source list.
  2. Press the ▲/▼ buttons to select your desired input source among DTV / ATV / AV / Component / HDMI 1/ HDMI 2 / Media.
  3. Press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.

Electronic Program Guide (EPG)

  • EPG stands for Digital Electronic Program Guide. It is supplied by the program providers and offers information about the programs to be broadcast.
  • You can access it in digital mode by pressing the EPG button on the remote control, the menu will appear on the screen, as below:
  • Press ▲/▼ to navigate to the desired channel.
  • Press ◄/► to switch between left and right columns.
  • RED (Record)
    • Press the RED button to record the program.
  • GREEN (Remind)
    • Press the GREEN button repeatedly to set a reminder.
  • Yellow (Prev Day)
    • Press the YELLOW button to display the TV guide of the previous day.
  • Blue (Next Day)
    • Press the BLUE button to display the TV guide for the next day.

Digital Teletext (DTV mode)

You can access special digital teletext services and specific services that broadcast digital teletext. You will need to turn off the Subtitle Function before using Teletext.

  1. In DTV mode, press the TEXT button to display the teletext page.
  2. Press ◄/►/▲/▼ to select a page number.
  3. Follow the instructions on digital teletext and move on to the next step by pressing the ENTER, ◄ /► RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE buttons etc.
  4. To change digital teletext service, press the ▲ ▼buttons.
    • You may press the TEXT button to display the teletext information.
  5. Press the TEXT button to exit.

Recording

  1. In DTV mode, insert a formatted USB storage device, then press to record the program you are watching.
  2. Press to stop recording. A recording will stop automatically when the USB storage device is full.
  • The maximum capacity of a USB device is 1 TB. The supported file system is FAT32.
  • If you want to store the video streaming of a DTV program, the transfer rate of the USB storage device must not be less than 5MB per second, otherwise, the picture and sound of the program will be affected, and a warning statement will be shown on the screen. If this happens, please upgrade your USB storage device.

USING THE MENUS

Pressing the MENU button allows you to access the variety of TV settings for you to customize the settings.

Navigating through TV Menus

  • ◄/ ►: Allow you to highlight a submenu.
  • ▼/ ▼ : Allow you to highlight options where applicable.
  • ENTER: Allow you to confirm the setting or advance to the next screen.
  • ◄: Allow you to move back to the previous screen or adjust the value.
  •  ►: Allow you to move to the next screen or adjust the value.

Channel ATV/DTV mode

  • The Channel Menu allows you to set Auto Tuning, ATV Manual Tuning, DTV Manual Tuning, Program Edit, Schedule List, Signal Information and CI Information.
  • ATV Manual Tuning
  • Current CH:
    • Set the channel number.
  • Color System:
    • Select the color system. (Available System: AUTO, PAL, SECAM)
  • Sound System:
    • Select the Sound system
  • Fine-Tune:
    • Adjust the frequency of the channel finely.
  • Search:
    • Start searching channels.
  • DTV Manual Tuning
  • Press the ◄ / ► button to select a channel, then press the ENTER button to search the program.
  • If you stop the tuning before it has finished, the TV will report a no signal error.
  • This is normal because all previous channel memory has been cleared before tuning.
  • Program Edit
  1. Press▼ / ▲ to highlight the channel you want to select.
  2. Press the RED button to delete the program in the list.
  3. Press the YELLOW button to move the channel in Program Edit.
  4. Press the BLUE button to skip the selected channel. (Your TV set will skip the channel automatically when using CH+/- to view the channels.)
  5. Press the Fav button to add or remove the channel to your favourite list.
  • Schedule List
    • Press the YELLOW button to enter the interface below.
  • Signal Information
  • Press the ENTER button to see the detailed information about the signal.
  • Only available when there is a signal in DTV mode.
  • CI Information
    • This feature may only be available in some countries.

To insert the Common Access Module

  1. Ensure that the TV is switched off and the viewing card is inserted under the Service Provider’s instructions.
  2. Insert the Common Access Module into the slot. Flip the Common Access Module to another side and try again if you feel resistance.
  3. Switch the TV on.

To remove the Common Access Module

  1. Ensure that the TV is switched off.
  2. Pull the Common Access Module out of the slot.
  3. Switch the TV on.

Picture

  • On the Picture Menu, you can adjust the picture you see to fit your viewing preference – Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint, Sharpness, Color Temp, Noise Reduction and HDMI mode.

Sound

  • The Sound Menu allows you to customize your sound settings to suit your audio preferences – Treble, Bass, Balance, Auto Volume Level (On/Off), SPDIF Mode and AD Switch.

Time

  • The Time Menu allows you to view the clock (default), set the time zone, sleep timer, auto standby and OSD timer.
  • Auto Standby – Press the MENU button to select TIME, and enter the sub menu.
  • Press the ▲▼buttons to select Auto Standby, and then press the ENTER button to enter the sub-menu.
  • Press ▲▼the buttons to select the auto standby time. If you select OFF,4H, or 5H, a warning message window will appear.
  • NOTE : The default auto standby setting is 4 hours.
  • If you do not set the auto standby time, the TV will go into standby mode within four hours since the last user interaction.

OSD Timer:

  • OSD timer is used to set only the duration of main menus (not for the info bar for example). You can select from: 5s/ 15s/ 30s.

Lock

  • The Lock Menu allows you to set the following changes.
  • System Lock – Press the ENTER button to unlock the other settings in this menu. The default password is 1234.
  • Set Password – If you change the password, be sure to remember the new password! If you forget it, use the super password 4711.
  • Channel Lock – It is used to prevent children from watching unsuitable programs.
  • Parental Guidance – Select the number of pages that is suitable for your children.
  • Key Lock – It is used to prevent children from pressing the buttons.
  • Hotel   Mode – When activating this option, you can make the following settings:
  • Source   Lock – Lock the source you want.
  • Default Source – Press the ENTER button to select.
  • Default Prog – It is available when the default source is TV.
  • Default Volume – It is the default boot volume.
  • Max Volume – You can adjust the max volume level.
  • Import Database – Import database from USB to TV.
  • Export Database – Export database from TV to USB.
  • Clear Lock – Reset all the lock settings to the factory defaults.

Setup

  • The Setup Menu allows you to change the settings related to audio and subtitle languages, Aspect Ratio, Reset, etc.
  • Your TV supports HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control).
  • When your HDMI devices support HDMI CEC, You can operate the HDMI devices connected to your TV with the TV’s remote control. Also, by turning on the power of the HDMI devices, it is possible to turn on the TV.
  • To use HDMI CEC, you must turn on HDMI control in the menu of the HDMI devices following the instruction manual of your HDMI devices.
  • Depending on the connected HDMI device, some HDMI CEC features may not work properly.

To turn on the HDMI CEC function on your TV

  1. Press the MENU button to display the setup menu.
  2. Press the ▼ button until the HDMI CEC option is highlighted. Press the ENTER button to display the submenu.
  3. Press the ▼ button to highlight the CEC Control item.
  4. Press the ◄/► button to select On.
  5. Press the EXIT button to exit from the menu. Device Auto Power Off
  • Device Auto Power Off automatically turns off the connected HDMI device when you turn off your TV.

TV Auto Power On

  • TV Auto Power On automatically turns on your TV when an HDMI CEC device is turned on or played the disc.
  • Your TV supports ARC (Audio Return Channel).
  • When your AV Receiver supports ARC, you must connect the TV and the AV Receiver with an HDMI cable to enable the TV to send audio signals.
  • Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI IN (ARC) port on your TV to the ARC HDMI out connector on your AV receiver.
  • Set the audio input mode of your AV receiver to TV audio mode.
  • To use ARC, you must turn on HDMI control in the menu of the receiver following the instruction manual of your receiver.

To turn on the HDMI ARC function on your TV

  1. Press the MENU button to display the setup menu.
  2. Press the ▼ button until the HDMI CEC option is highlighted. Press the ENTER button to display the submenu.
  3. Press the ▼ button to highlight the Audio Receiver item.
  4. Press the ◄/► button to select On.
  5. Press the EXIT button to exit from the menu.

USB MULTIMEDIA

  1. Switch off the TV before connecting any USB storage device.
  2. Connect your USB storage device to the USB port of your TV.
  3. Press the button on the back of the TV or the button on the remote control to turn on your TV and your USB storage device.
  4. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control to display the Source List. Use the ▲▼ buttons to select Media and then press the ENTER button to confirm.

Viewing Photo

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control then press the ▲▼ buttons to select MEDIA and then press the ENTER button.
  2. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select Photo and then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the ▲▼◄ ►buttons to navigate to the picture folder and then press the ENTER button. If you want to select the specified photos, press the ▲ ▼◄ ►buttons to select the picture file and then press the ENTER button.
  4. Press the ENTER button to view.
  5. Press the ENTER button or the DISPLAY button to display the function bar: Play / Stop / Previous /Next / Rotate.
  • If this folder also contains music files, you can select a music track to play at the same time you view photos.
  1. Select the desired picture or video.
  2. Use the ZOOM IN function.
  3. Select the next button MOVE VIEW, then press the ENTER button on the remote control.
  4.  Use the arrow buttons to move the picture or video.
  5. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu.

Listening to Music

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control then press the ▲▼ buttons to MEDIA and then press the ENTER button.
  2. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select Music and then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the ▲▼◄ ► buttons to navigate to the music folder and then press the ENTER button. If you want to select the specified music, press the ▲ ▼◄ ► buttons to select the music file and then press the ENTER button.
  4. Press the ►II or ENTER button to start to play.
  5. Press the ◄ ► buttons and then press the ENTER button to select the function: Pause / Previous /Next / FB (Fast Backward) / FF (Fast Forward) /Stop.
  6. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu.

Viewing Movies

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control then press the ▲▼ buttons to MEDIA and then press the ENTER button.
  2. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select Movie and then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the ▲▼◄ ► buttons to navigate to the movie folder and then press the ENTER button. If you want to select the specified movie, press the ▲ ▼◄ ► buttons to select the movie file and then press the ENTER button.
  4. Press the ►II or ENTER button to view.
  5. Press the ENTER button or the DISPLAY button to display the function bar. Press the ◄► buttons and then press the ENTER button to select the function: Pause / Previous / Next / FB (Fast Backward) / FF (Fast Forward) / Stop.
  6. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu.

AB repeat function:

When watching a movie, you can use AB repeat play. The AB repeat function enables playback to a specific section repeatedly by setting the start point

  • (A) and end point (B) for the section.

Charset:

  • Character sets of movie subtitles. They are switchable to suit different subtitles if available.

Viewing Text

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control then press the ▲▼ buttons to MEDIA and then press the ENTER button.
  2. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select Text and then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select your storage device and then press the ENTER button.
  4. Press the ▲▼◄ ► buttons to navigate in the text folder and then press the ENTER button. If you want to select the specified text file, press the ▲ ▼◄ ► buttons to select the text file and then press the ENTER button.
  5. Press the ►II or ENTER button to view.
  6. Press the ENTER button or the DISPLAY button to display the function bar. Press the ◄► buttons and then press the ENTER button to select the function: Previous / Next etc.
    • Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu.
    • If this folder also contains music files, you can select a music rack to play at the same time you view texts.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Solution
The screen does not appear / illuminate. 1. Check that the power plug is

securely in the main socket.

2. Check the power is on.

The screen appears, but there is no sound.| 1. Press the MUTE button.

2. Increase the sound level by pressing the volume adjustment buttons.
3. Check that the sound terminal of your external input is connected properly.
4. Check that the audio cables are connected properly.

5. Select and check any other input.

Noise or poor picture| Stop using wireless telephones, hair dryers or other electrical appliances near the TV.
The remote control does not work.| 1. Check if the TV is not switched on.

2. Check that the batteries of the remote control are inserted properly.
3. Check for any obstacles between the TV remote sensor and the remote control. Remove them if necessary.

4. If the batteries have no power, replace them with two new batteries of the same type.
