- Before pairing, power off the unpaired camera and switch the monitor channel to the one to be paired; enter MENU interface, select PAIRING and then press OK; then the monitor enters the PAIRING countdown of 20 seconds, during which the camera to be paired should be connected to the power supply; after 5 seconds, the camera will be paired with the monitor and the images of the paired camera will be displayed on the monitor if the pairing succeeds. Otherwise, repeat the above code pairing operation steps.
- After one channel of the monitor is paired successfully, switch to the next channel to be paired; power off the previous paired camera and repeat operation steps above.
- After pairing all channels, connect all paired cameras with power supply; press SEL button on the monitor to switch channels; check images of each channel; and then install the wireless system on vehicle after confirming that there is image on each channel.
Solutions for Poor Monitor Signal
- Please confirm the height of the camera from the ground is more than 1 meter, the antennas of the display and camera are perpendicular to the ground, and the antennas are tightened.
- If there is metal shielding or obstructions between the monitor and the camera, an extended antenna should be used to bypass the metal shielding to ensure adequate transmission of antenna signal.
- When using the flat extension antenna, the patch antenna of the monitor and camera shall be installed on the same side of the vehicle, to ensure better transmission of camera.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No Signal | Camera is not paired. | Pair the camera to the monitor (see page |
12).
Camera has no power. You can check if the camera is receiving power by
covering the glass panel, the light sensor below the lens will detect the drop
in light and turn on the 4 IR LEDs next to the lens, which will faintly glow
red.| If the IR LEDs do not glow red, check the power connections.
Antenna is not securely connected.| Attach the antenna securely.
The signal is being blocked. Metal obstructions between the monitor’s antenna
and the camera’s antenna will block the signal.| Connect a patch antenna to
either the camera or monitor, and then install the antenna in a location with
a better line-of- sight between the 2 antennas.
Intermittent signal| The signal is being blocked, see the row above.| A patch
antenna is required, see the row above.
Antenna is not securely connected.| Attach the antenna securely.
Only one camera will pair at a time.| After pairing a camera to channel 1, if
a second camera is paired to channel 1, the first camera will be overwritten.|
After pairing a camera, change the channel on the monitor
to the next channel (CAM1 > CAM2 > CAM3 > CAM4. See page 12).
Buttons do not work.| The trigger wires have been incorrectly connected to a
constant power source. The monitor does not allow adjustments to be made while
reversing or turning.| Disconnect the trigger wires from the constant power
source.
The monitor will
not turn off.
