Product Usage Instructions

Instrument Cluster Gauges and Meters:
The instrument cluster features gauges and meters with a 7-inch display. Users can select between analog and digital speedometer displays based on preference.

I Shift Position and Shift Range Indicator:
The display indicates the selected shift position or shift range. Click on the provided links for detailed information.

Outside Temperature Display:
The display will flash for approximately 10 seconds before staying on. Note the warning about using the liquid crystal display at low temperatures.

Odometer and Trip Meter Control:
Use the ODO TRIP switch to switch between odometer, trip meter A, trip meter B, and adjust instrument cluster light brightness. Press and hold to reset the trip meter or adjust brightness.

Instrument Cluster Brightness Adjustment:
Brightness levels can be adjusted individually when tail lights are on or off. Brightness remains constant in bright surroundings even when tail lights are on.

The meters and display illuminate when
The power switch is in ON.

Hybrid System Indicator

  • A READY OFF area
    Shows that the hybrid system is not operating.

  • B Charge area
    Shows regeneration* status. Regenerated energy will be used to charge the hybrid battery (traction battery).

  • C Hybrid Eco area
    Shows that gasoline engine power is not being used very often.
    The gasoline engine will automatically stop and restart under various conditions.

  • D Eco area
    Shows that the vehicle is being driven in an Eco-friendly manner.
    By keeping the indicator needle within Eco area, more Eco-friendly driving can be achieved.

  • E Power area
    Shows that an Eco-friendly driving range is being exceeded (during full power driving etc.)

  • : When used in this manual, “regeneration” refers to the conversion of energy created by the movement of the vehicle into electrical energy.
    In the following situation, the Hybrid System Indicator does not operate.

“READY” indicator is not illuminated.
The shift lever is in a range other than D or S.

Outside temperature display

In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the display may take longer than normal to change.

  • When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 20 km/h [12 mph])
  • When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.) When “–” or “E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer. Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40°C (-40°F) to 60°C (140°F).
  • When the outside temperature is approximately 3°C (37°F) or lower, the indicator  will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.

WARNING
The information display at low temperatures

  • Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal information display. At extremely low temperatures, the display monitor may respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed.
  • For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear number appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to downshift again, causing rapid and excessive engine braking and possibly an accident resulting in death or injury.

NOTICE
To prevent damage to the engine and its components

  • The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is in the red zone (“H”). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely.(Click Here)

Using the “ODO TRIP” switch

Switches the items of the odometer, trip meter A, trip meter B and the brightness of the instrument cluster lights by pressing the “ODO TRIP” switch.

  • When the trip meter is displayed, pressing and holding the switch will reset the trip meter.
  • When the instrument cluster light control display is displayed, pressing and holding the switch will adjust the brightness of the instrument cluster lights.

Instrument cluster brightness adjustment
The instrument cluster brightness levels when the tail lights are on and off can be adjusted individually. However, when the surroundings are bright (daytime, etc.), turning on the tail lights will not change the instrument cluster brightness.

Adjusting the clock
The clocks can be adjusted on either the multi-information display or the multimedia system.
By displaying the “Clock :00” screen from the screen of the multi-information display, you can change the following settings related to the clock.

  • Resetting the minutes display
  • Changing the clock between 12- hour display and 24-hour display.
  • Adjusting the time

To reset the minutes display

  • Press of the meter control switches on the steering wheel and select
  • Press of the meter control switches on the steering wheel and select “Clock :00”

By pressing of the meter control switches on the “Clock :00” screen, you can set “Minutes” to 00.

  • Minutes from 0 to 29 are rounded down.
    (For example, from 1:00 to 1:29 are displayed as 1:00)

  • From 30 to 59 minutes are rounded up.
    (For example, from 1:30 to 1:59 are displayed as 2:00)

To adjust the time

  • Press of the meter control switches on the steering wheel and select
  • Press of the meter control switches on the steering wheel and select “Clock :00”.
  • On the “Clock :00” screen, press and hold of the meter control switches.
  • Select the “12H/24H”, “Time” or “Minutes” by operating of the meter control switches.
  • Press the of the meter control switches to change the display contents. When the setting iscompleted, press   to return to the previous screen.
