Sharper Image Foot and Leg Spa

Thank you for purchasing the Sharper Image Foot and Leg Spa. Please take a moment to read this guide and store it for future reference.

IDENTIFICATION OF PARTS

FEATURES
• Four motorized massage rollers
• Customized water temperature control (95°F to 116°F)
• Two water jets stimulate foot reflex zones and red light therapy
• Calf-deep water container provides a hot-tub spa for both feet and legs
• Timer (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes with a default timer for 30 minutes)
• Fits feet up to men’s size 13
• Built-in portable handle and mobile caster for easy storage or transport
• Static water drainage function
• Protection cover to avoid water spilling out

HOW TO USE
NOTE: Never operate the Foot and Leg Spa without filling the unit with water first.
• Check and make sure there is no damage to the product
• Install the wheels (four included) and secure them using its locking system. Push the lockinglever down on each side of the wheels to lock into place
• Place the Foot and Leg Spa on a flat, dry floor
• Remove the front detachable foot spa cover
NOTE: Do not plug in or turn on the unit before filling with water.
• Fill the Foot and Leg Spa with water up to its maximum water level indicator using a bucket
NOTE: Do not put the Foot and Leg Spa under a faucet directly. To save electricity or speed up water heating, use warm water when filling up the unit.
• Stay seated in a chair or sofa before starting the Foot and Leg Spa
• Plug the power cord into a wall outlet and press the ON/OFF button once to turn on

WATER LEVEL WARNINGS
• The maximum water level is 60% of the water container or to its maximum water level indicator
• It‘s recommended to fill with water up to 50% of the water container
• Never fill the unit with water past its maximum water level. Filling it past the maximum water level will affect the water jet massage function
NOTE: Be careful not to spill water onto the control panel.

HEATING FUNCTION
• The digital display will show the current water temperature
• The default maximum water heating temperature is 108 °F once the power is turned on
• Adjust the water temperature to your liking (the Automatic Water Temperature BalancingSystem will be initiated to automatically turn on/off the heating function to keep the water temperature at 108 °F)
• When its water temperature cools down below 108 °F, the heating function will be turned on automatically again
NOTE: The heating function will not turn on if the current water temperature is already higher than its default maximum temperature is 108 °F.

CHANGING THE DEFAULT WATER HEATING TEMPERATURE
• Press the TEMP +/ TEMP button to reset the maximum water heating temperature
• The highest heating temperature you can set is 116°F
• The lowest heating temperature you can set is 95°F
• Press the on/off button again to turn the unit off

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
• Use the Temp+/- button to change the maximum water heating temperature while using any massage modes
• Press the TEMP+ button to increase the water heating temperature of your choice. After 3seconds the current water temperature will display on the digital screen
• Press the TEMP – button to decrease the water heating temperature. After 3 seconds the current water temperature will display on the digital screen

RED LIGHT FUNCTION
• Press the red light button to turn the red light therapy on

MASSAGE FUNCTION
• Press the massage button to turn the rolling massage function on/off
• Choose from three massage modes from slow to fast
• Default time for the rolling massage is 15 minutes
NOTE: Water jets are located inside the water container under the control panel. The water jet air bubbles are stronger when the water level is lower.

TIMER
• Default spa massage time is 30 minutes
• Press the timer button to choose a 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minute massage
• It is recommended NOT to use the device for more than 60 minutes continuously. Always take a 10 to 15 minutes break after each cycle

WATER DRAINAGE
• This device has a static water drainage
• After each use, always turn all functions off on the control panel before draining
• Unplug the device from the outlet before draining the water
• Put a water bucket under the water drainage pipe to make sure no water will spill onto floor
• Release the drainage pipe and point it into the water bucket to start draining out the water
• Lock the drainage pipe back into place after draining
Note: There may be a small amount of water left inside the water container after drainage. Use a dry towel to clean up. Never try to pour out water by lifting over the water container.

USING BATH SALTS/HERBAL BAGS IN THE FOOT AND LEG SPA
• Add an herbal bag inside the water container but make sure the herbal bag will not break and block the filter
• If you use an herbal bag or bath salt, it is recommended to clean up right after each use so that no residue will block the filter or water pump
• To clean up, add clean water and turn on the massaging function for 1 minute and follow the water drainage procedure to drain the water out

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always turn the power on the control panel off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet first
• Make sure the water drainage valve is closed. It is recommended to always drain out water along the water drainage valve
• Use only a soft, dry towel to clean up the control panel and the water container. Never use strong abrasives, detergents or cleaning agents for cleaning
• Do NOT immerse the massager in water or under a faucet to clean or fill the unit with water
• Occasionally, you can put in clean water and turn on the device for about 2 to 4 minutes and then drain the water from its drainage pipe to clean out its filter and water pipe

STORAGE
• Unplug the unit from the electric outlet and allow it to cool down and dry
• Store it in its box or in a clean, dry place
• Do NOT drag or hang the unit with the power cord
• This unit is designed for indoor use only
• Never put the unit close to a fireplace or other heating sources

• suffer from osteoporosis or diabetes
• are pregnant

• suffering from acute diseases
• are osteoporosis, vertebral fracture patients, such as muscle/ skin disease
• have gout, arthritis, joint deformation
• skin disease and allergic dermatitis
• have neurological disorder or perceptual disorder on skin
• have fractured or plastic surgery materials inside your knee, joint, legs, or feet
• are unable to feel normal temperature we advise you to consult with your doctor before using this massager

CAUTION:
• Never try to turn on the power or operate this device without having water inside the water container
• Do not immerse the device into water for cleaning
• DO NOT attempt to stand up on this device or its water container or walk into the water container. Use only when you are being seated on a chair or sofa
• Do NOT try to plug or unplug the power source if your hands are wet. Do not touch the control panel if your hands are wet
• Do not use the device 30 minutes before or right after eating a meal
• Do not use if you are intoxicated or right after extreme exercise
• Do NOT use the device if you have wounds or after surgery and not yet fully recovered on legs or feet
• Do NOT use this device continuously for more than 60 minutes at a time. The device has a preset working time of 30 minutes. It’ll automatically turn off when the time is up. It is recommended to take a 10 to 15 minutes break for every 60 minutes of use
• Do not use this product while you are sleeping and avoid falling asleep while the product is operating
• Always remove the plug from the power outlet after use. Never leave this device unattended while the power plug is connected
• Never use the device close to a heater, fireplace, stove or other heat sources
• Always pay attention while children, patients, disabled and elderly people are using this device. This device is not for children under age 18
• Never use the device if the plug or wire is damaged
• Unauthorized person is not allowed to reconstruct or replace the component of this device
• Do not use this device in sauna room, bathroom, or in area where has high humidity or wet floor
• Close supervision is necessary when this unit is used by, close or next to children or disabled people
• If the device was not used for a long time, check it first before use again
• Extensive use could lead to the product’s excessive heating and shorter life span. Should this occur, discontinue use, unplug the power source and allow the unit to cool before operating again
• DO NOT use this product as a substitute for medical attention or treatment
• A massage should never feel unpleasant. Should pain or discomfort occur, discontinue use and consult your doctor
• Use device only for its intended use as described in this manual
• Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly. ContactSharper Image customer service. Never try to repair this device by yourself
• Use only the original adapter that comes with the device
• Do not to use any electronic devices while using the foot spa massager, avoid possibly dropping electronic devices into the water container
• Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire
• DO NOT place or store this device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink
