INFINITY metal recess box compatibility
A-Series External Water Heaters
Use this guide to determine if a newer model INFINITY unit can be installed
into an existing recess box. The challenge is with the top and bottom mounting
brackets, and being able to align the flue outlet of the water heater with the
flue outlet position of the door.
Using the table below, the first step is to measure the depth and width of the
recess box to determine which recess box you might have.

Note : Our service technicians have advised that an HD49kWe can be fitted
into an R1400 recess box if adjustments are made to the bottom bracket.

standard. There was also an update to the bottom of the recess box, removal of
the top flashings and foam seal tape, plus updated instructions.
