Tightening torque

Connect power supply to terminals A1 and A2. Connect the core balance transformer (CTG) to C1 and C2 terminals.
Remote Test and Reset pushbutton can be connected between terminal Y1 and A2.
Connect 11, 12 and 14 relay terminals to the main breaker coil in order to disconnect mains from load in case of leakage alarm.
Terminals 21, 22 and 24 relay terminals can be used as warning signal.

Keep power OFF while connecting!

Terminals

A1, A2| Power supply
Y1, A2| Remote test / Reset
C1, C2| CTG input
11, 12, 14| Output 1 (Alarm)
21, 22, 24| Output 2 (Warning)
Each terminal can accept up to 1 x 3.3 mm2 wires

CTG (measuring core balance transformer)

Fig.1

Selection – Select the correct CTG size according to mains cable dimension: referring to fig 1 the dimension of CTG shall be: b ≥ 1.5 * a.

Fig.2

Connection – To connect the CTG to the DEA or DEB it is suggested to use twisted pair cable. If cable is above 3m lenght, twisted cable has to be always used. It is also recommended, but not mandatory, to use shielded cable, in such case shield should be grounded.

Fig.3

Fig.4

Cable routing – Cables shall be routed in such way that the cables are centred within the CTG as shown in fig.2. Make sure that all current carrying leads are passed through the CTG. – It is essential that the earth terminal (PE) is routed outside the CTG or else the operation will be impaired (Fig. 3). – When it is required to bend the cable, it is important to maintain e minimum distance between the CTG and the cable bending. As shown in fig.4: d ≥ 2 * c.
Notes – Do not pass shielded cables through the measuring current transformer.

Settings

DEA has fixed settings and requires no adjustment.
DEB threshold current can be set according to application requirements. Adjust the current leakage dial to set the threshold current and adjust the delay time dial to set the alarm ON delay.
If more than one DEB are installed in the same network, downstream devices shall have lower current and time setting.
When the DEB has been set, it is possible to protect the setting from tampering by sealing the front cover with a mechanical lock.

Adjustment
  1. Device ON (green)
  2. Test push button
  3. Alarm status (red)
  4. Reset push button
  5. Warning status (red)
  6. 60% leakage
  7. Current leakage
  8. 40% leakage
  9. Delay time
  10. 20% leakage

Turn power ON, if everything is correct the green ON LED will light up. In case of current leakage the yellow 20%, 40% and 60% LEDs will light according to the leakage entity.
When the leakage exceeds 60% of set threshold the yellow PRE LED (warning LED) will light up, output 2 relay triggers.
When the leakage exceeds 80% of set threshold, the red AL LED (alarm LED) will turn ON, output 1 relay triggers.
When the leakage fault has been fixed the operation can be restored by pressing the R button either on the device front panel or remotely by pressing the R/T remote switch.

Mounting

Hang the device to the DIN-Rail being sure that the spring closes. Use a screwdriver to remove the product
