Product Usage

Before assembling your TruGolf MAX Golf Simulator, refer to your APOGEE Manual for detailed instructions.

  1. Sort frame pieces into color-coordinated sections.
  2. Connect each frame piece numerically ensuring correct positioning as labeled.
  3. Click the push-button lock mechanisms into place.

Fabric Exterior Enclosure Assembly

  1. Wrap Impact Screen Backing around YELLOW frame pieces and attach bungee cords to GREEN frame pieces.
  2. Attach bungee cords on the Impact Screen Backing to TL, TR, BL, and BR frame pieces.
  3. Velcro white Impact Screen onto the Impact Screen Backing.
  4. Orient the Top Skin over the Impact Screen and anchor in place using fabric tabs and Velcro strips.
  5. Attach bungee cords on Top Skin to TL and TR frame pieces.

  • Before you begin to play, we have a few set-up guidelines to help ensure safety and success. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury or degrade the performance of your TruGolf MAX Simulator.
  • If you have any issues with the set-up or operation of your TruGolf MAX system, contact our Customer Experience Team for immediate assistance.
  • Before assembling your TruGolf MAX Golf Simulator, please refer to your APOGEE Manual for complete and detailed instructions on the installation and use of your APOGEE device.

Select Your Space

  • The mandatory footprint required for the TruGolf MAX is 15’ Wide x 10’ High x 18’ Deep.

Getting Started – Frame Assembly Set Up

  1. Each piece of the TruGolf MAX frame has been labeled by Number and Color.
    • a. Each bar has been cut to fit its counterpart. The system will fit and function best when each frame piece is matched to its numerical counterpart.TruGolf-MAX-Simulator-Golf-Simulators-FIG-3
  2. Begin by sorting each portion of the frame into its color-coordinated sections.
  3. Each piece is connected numerically, 1 to 2, 3 to 4, and so on. Please take care to use the correct portion of the frame, in its correct position, as is labeled in the manual.
  4. Begin connecting each portion of the frame and ensuring the push-button lock mechanisms click into place.

Frame Assembly Detail Notes

  • The black plastic end cap on the powder-coated FIRTH BLUE front floor corners (FL, FR) should be facing toward the golfer.
  • Where a D-LOOP connection is required, set and position the D-LOOP such that the flat head of the pin is seated on the EXTERIOR of the frame with the loop positioned towards the INTERIOR.
  • The top-front corners are designated AL (Awning Left) and AR (Awning Right). Ensure that the obtuse angle is extended up towards the ceiling.
  • These pieces are NOT INTERCHANG-ABLE and they must be positioned as designated in the Frame Assembly Diagram.
  • The AL and AR frame pieces have each been labeled with a Black Sticker and a White Sticker to help guide their correct installation.
  • Confirm that the Black Sticker is oriented up towards the ceiling and the White Sticker is oriented towards the ground.

Getting Started – Fabric Exterior Enclosure Assembly

The Fabric Exterior Enclosure consists of:

  • a. Impact Screen Backing
  • b. Top Skin
  • c. Left Skin
  • d. Right Skin
  • e. Impact Screen
  • f. 2 ct. Padded Side Baffles
  • g. Bottom Baffles
  • h. Printed Valance

NOTE: If the height of the room allows, assembly is most easily accomplished by laying the frame on the ground when attaching the Impact Screen Backing, Impact Screen, and Top Skin.

Fabric Exterior Enclosure Assembly

  1. Unfold the Impact Screen Backing and wrap it around the YELLOW frame pieces (11-20). Pull and attach each section of bungee cord to the brass cleats on the GREEN frame pieces (1-10). (See Figures 1-3)
    • a. NOTE: Ensure that the screen hangs evenly by attaching the middle-most sections of the bungee cord to their corresponding brass cleats on each side first, and then working out towards the corners.
  2. Attach the looped ends of the bungee cord on the Impact Screen Backing onto the hooks found on the TL, TR, BL, and BR frame pieces. (See Fig. 4)
  3. Velcro the white Impact Screen into place on the Impact Screen Backing. (See Fig. 5)TruGolf-MAX-Simulator-Golf-Simulators-FIG-4

  4. Once the white Impact Screen is installed, unfold and orient the Top Skin so that the attached, padded ba˙e will hang on top of the white Impact Screen.
    • Anchor the Top Skin in place by looping the fabric tabs around the frame and joining the Velcro strips. (See Fig. 6-8)TruGolf-MAX-Simulator-Golf-Simulators-FIG-5
    • a. NOTE: When wrapping the Top Skin around the left and right sides of the frame, be sure to leave approx. 1” of exposed loop Velcro. This will serve as an anchor point when installing the Left and Right Skins.
  5. Pull and attach each section of the bungee cord on the Top Skin to the brass cleats, and then attach the looped ends of the bungee cord onto the hooks found on the TL and TR frame pieces. (See Fig. 9)
  6. Unfold and orient the Left and Right Skins so you can join the Velcro connections around the front-most sides and bottom of the frame. (See Fig. 10-11)
  7. Anchor the Left and Right Skins to the Velcro strips found on the Top Skin (See Fig. 12) and then wrap the Left and Right Skins around the back-most sides of the frame and join the Velcro strips (See Fig. 13)
  8. Attach the Bottom Ba˙e by pulling the looped ends of the bungee cord between the Left and Right Skins and the white Impact Screen, and anchor the loops in place on the hooks found on the BL and BR frame pieces.
    • The grommeted corners of the bottom baffles attached to the bungee cord should be oriented at the top so the ba˙e hangs towards the ground. (See Fig. 14)
  9. Attach the two Padded Side Ba˙es to the vertical Velcro strips on the Left and Right skins in the interior of the booth. (See Fig. 15)
  10. Attach the Printed Valance to the Velcro strip on the front-most face of the Top Skin.

USAGE

  • The ball must hit the screen first. Golf shots with extreme trajectories are not accommodated in this simulator.
  • Only one individual may use the TruGolf MAX Simulator at a time. All other individual users must retreat to a position at least 5’ behind the active golfer, giving the active golfer enough space to swing safely.
  • Do not allow anyone to walk around the booth while the TruGolf MAX Simulator is being used. All people must stay 5’ behind the active golfer at all times during use.
  • The TruGolf MAX should NOT be installed where users can walk behind the system. Owners and operators must place the back of the frame towards a wall.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not use the simulator in a manner contrary to these guidelines and intended use.
  • Do not use while intoxicated or otherwise impaired.
  • The TruGolf MAX Simulator is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, without supervision and instruction concerning the use of the simulator by persons or persons responsible for their safety.
  • Mis-hits and shots that fail to stay in the booth may result in damage to the surrounding area or individuals.
  • To avoid any such damage, ensure to hit the ball to the center of the impact screen, avoiding any of the framing or other objects the ball could deflect off of.

DURABILITY

  • Users should completely power down the TruGolf MAX and APOGEE Launch Monitor between use.
  • Discard golf balls once the protective coating wears off to avoid damage to the Impact Screen.
  • Ensure golf equipment is free of organic matter – failure to use new golf balls or clean golf clubs may result in expedited wear of soft goods.TruGolf-MAX-Simulator-Golf-Simulators-FIG-17

  • ELECTRICAL HAZARD All electrical systems have the potential to cause harm.
  • When working with provided electronics, proceed with caution to avoid the risk of Electrocution, Fire, and more.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • Inspect portable cord-and-plug connected equipment, extension cords, and power supplies before use. If the product is damaged DO NOT USE and contact TruGolf.
  • Only use provided Electronic components, approved by TruGolf.
  • The risk of electric shock is greater in damp areas; do not place TruGolf products near moisture.
  • Always disconnect the power source first before handling the electric apparatus.

SAFETY AND SETUP GUIDELINES

  • The mandatory footprint for the simulator is 15 feet wide by 10 feet high by 18 feet deep. If your space does not have sufficient space, we cannot guarantee the functionality or safety of the simulator.

  • Only one individual may use the simulator at a time. All other individuals must retreat to a position at least 5 feet behind the user, giving the user enough space to swing safely.

  • The simulator is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, without supervision and instruction concerning the use of the simulator by a person responsible for their safety.

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the simulator in a manner contrary to these guidelines and the intended use.

  • Do not use while intoxicated or otherwise impaired.

  • The ball must hit the screen – do not hit golf shots that will not hit the impact screen first. Lob shots, flop shots, and other high-trajectory shots are not accommodated in the simulator.

  • Users should completely power down all electronic components after use.

  • Mis-hits and shots that fail to stay in the booth may result in damage to the surrounding area or individuals.

  • To avoid any such damage, ensure to hit the ball to the center of the impact screen avoiding any of the framing or other objects the ball could deflect off of.
    Do not allow anyone to walk around the booth while the simulator is in use, including behind the simulator. People must remain at least 5 feet behind the golfer at all times.

  • The simulator is only to be used with the accessories provided. If you need replacement components, please contact TruGolf.

  • Discard golf balls after their protective coating wears off to avoid damage to the impact screen.
