INTENDED USE
Rise, recline and relax in comfort with this power lifting chair that makes it easier for users to safely enter and exit the chair. Featuring a dual motor, the Monarch power lift chair provides independent control of the back rest and leg rest while the fully padded chaise and seamed backrest provides superior comfort and support. This rise and recline chair also features a handy magazine pocket and handheld, easy-to-use controller. Suitable for domestic use indoors.
WARNING! This user manual must be read before using the chair. Severe injury or death may result if user instructions, maintenance instructions and product warnings are not followed.
SAFETY WARNINGS
- Do not exceed the safe working load of 130kg.
- Inspect at regular intervals for wear and damage.
- Do not move the chair whilst occupied.
- Supervision or assistance when using the chair is recommended for users with limited mobility.
- Only use this chair indoors on flat, level surfaces.
- Do not place the power cord under any objects including the chair as it may damage the cord and result in fire or electric shock.
- Do not allow anyone to sit on your lap, the arm of the chair, or on the footrest when operating the chair.
- Stop using the chair if you are not well or notice any pain or discomfort during the operation of the chair.
- Do not allow children or pets near the chair while operating.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the chair to enable safe movement on, off and around the chair. Also be aware of the power cord as this may potentially be a trip hazard.
- Do not use this chair in humid or dusty environments, as it may cause electrical shocks or motor malfunction. The chair must be used in a dry room. Do not use this chair in room temperatures higher than 40°C.
- When not in use, the chair should be kept in the sitting position and disconnected from power source.
- Do not use this chair in combination with any other product.
- Do not place any heavy object on the armrest, footrest, or backrest.
- Beware of entrapment hazards and pinch points when operating the chair.
- Do not place fingers or hands between the seat cushions, and inside the arms of the chair, while sitting in or while chair is plugged in.
- Do not allow liquids to spill onto the hand control, switches or any other electrical components.
- Do not expose this chair to direct sunlight, stoves, heaters and any other heating appliances.
- Do not touch, remove, repair or tamper with the inside mechanism of the chair.
- If power cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and disconnect chair from power source.
- Remove from use immediately if faults are found. Maintenance should only be completed by a qualified professional. Contact Cubro for servicing.
- Use the chair only for the purpose it is intended for.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ASSEMBLY
WARNING! The chair must be assembled correctly according to the
instructions below, using all parts provided. The manufacturers of the chair,
their agents and distributors are not liable for any damages caused by
improper assembly or misuse of the chair.
The chair is packed unassembled consisting of the backrest and the seat.
- Do not substitute missing parts or assemble the chair with damaged parts.
- If anything is missing or damaged do not assemble the chair, contact Cubro to resolve the issue.
- Connect the backrest of the chair to the seat of the chair
- Adaptor connection and fitting: Connect the wire from remote control to the wire from the actuator. Plug the cord from the chair into one end of the transformer and the power outlet cord into the other end. The chair is now ready to use.
- Positioning: After assembly and before operating the chair, make sure that there is no obstruction behind, in front or above the chair. There should be an allowance of more than 50cm behind the chair and more than 40cm in front of the chair, to ensure the chair moves smoothly through all recline and lift functions.
USING THE CHAIR
The remote control is used for the operation of all functions of the chair.
The functions on the remote control are activated by pressing the buttons
gently. Release the button at any time and the chair will stop moving. The
chair will stop rising or reclining once it has reached the maximum position.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
WARNING! Before cleaning, ensure that the power is turned off and the
power plug is removed from the electrical outlet.
- Whilst the chair is designed to be easily cleaned, it is not self-cleaning and requires a regular maintenance regime to extend the life of the fabric or vinyl used. Most spills and stains can easily be cleaned with a towel.
- Check upholstery for tears, spills, and stains regularly.
- DO NOT use abrasive powders or scouring pads to avoid causing corrosion.
- Ensure chair is totally dry after cleaning.
- Do not remove the upholstery for cleaning.
- The remote control is cleaned with a damp cloth. Extra care must be taken to ensure no moisture gets inside the hand control.
- Should the equipment appear damaged, corroded, or rusted remove from use immediately.
MAINTENANCE
- If power cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and disconnect chair from power source.
- Check all wires, power plugs and the hand control regularly for any damage.
- Check chair operation regularly and ensure no obstructions.
- If your chair does not operate and you cannot identify the problem, please unplug the chair and contact Cubro for assistance.
PRODUCT STORAGE
- If chair needs to be stored, make sure it is disconnected from power source and the power plug is removed from the electrical outlet.
- Keep the chair clean from dust and away from places of high humidity.
- If the chair is not in use for a long period of time, cover it with a piece of clean cloth to protect it from dust. Store in a dry room.
- Do not store the chair under direct sunlight or in places of high temperatures, otherwise fabric will fade, and vinyl can get damaged.
DISPOSAL
Products that can no longer be used are to be disposed of seperately from
household rubbish. This must be done according to the local and national
regulations for environmental protection and raw material recycling. Please
look at your local council’s website for further information on the correct
disposal.
