- Far faster and better than soldering
- Provides the highest strength and the lowest resistance connections possible

Step 1
Insert the crimp contact into the proper position as listed on the TRicrimp
tool (15 / 30 / 45). The 15 & 30 contacts should be inserted with the fiat
side of the contact facing down. For the 45A contacts with the “U”, open
contact should be facing up. Insert the contact as far as it will go into the
contact positioner block.
Step 2
Strip 1/4” of insulation off your wire. Insert the stripped wire end into
the pre-installed contact fully so that the wire insulation touches the back
edge of the contact. Do not leave any copper exposed between the contact and
insulation. Ensure your contact continues to be fully inserted into the
contact positioner block and rests with the flat side of the contact facing
down.
Step 3
Squeeze the ratchet handles together until the ratchet mechanism
automatically releases back open, confirming the crimp is complete. If the
TRicrimp does not auto release open, see instructions below.
Manual Release Lever
In the event that the TRicrimp tool ratchet mechanism does not auto release
after your crimp, you will need to use the manual release lever. It is located
on top of the bottom handle and will be visible while the ratcheting mechanism
is engaged closed. To use the release lever, you will apply force to the lever
in a forward direction towards the jaw, which allows the ratcheting mechanism
to disengage and allow the handles to fully release in the open position.
Step 4
Remove the completed crimped wire and contact from the TRicrimp tool.
insert into the rear of the Anderson Powerpole connector plastic housings and
your Powerpole connections are now complete.
For help with inserting or extracting contacts from housings, please see the
optional RT-1 tool on the back side.
