Precautions For Installation And Use Of Steering Pump
- When disassembling the steering pump of the original car, replace the old booster oil of the original car at the same time.
- Clean the oil storage tank 1 and oil pipe 3 ,check whether the oil storage tank is damaged, check whether the filter of the oil storage tank is blocked.
- Check whether the oil inlet hose 3 is hardened and aged, prevent air from entering, strictly prohibit oil with impurities, and prevent booster oil go bad.
- Replace the sealing ring 4 of the high-pressure oil pipe connected to the steering pump to prevent oil leakage, which may lead to misjudgment of oil leakage from the steering pump.
Installation Process
- Replace the booster oil, clean the oil storage tank 1, and the oil inlet pipe 3.
- Install the steering pump and pour the oil into the oil storage tank.
- After the engine starts, do not turn the steering wheel let the steering pump circulate the oil by itself, observe the oil condition in the fuel tank Replenish the oil in time, until it reaches a reasonable oil level, after the installation is completed turn the steering wheel at last.
Reasons For The Abnormal Noise After The Power Steering Pump Is installed
- The oil inlet pipe clamp 2 is not locked or the oil pipe 3 is hardened.
- The air is not completely removed after the power steering pump is replaced 6
- Accompanied by noise due to overflow valve stuck 7.
- The viscosity of the booster oil is too high or too low.
The Power Steering Pump Has No Power Or Insufficient Power
- Relief valve stuck 7.
- The oil circuit is not smooth.
- Leakage inside the steering rack.
Be sure to clean the oil storage tank 1 and oil pipe 3 before installation, if there are impurities, after the car is running, impurities in the oil storage tank and oil pipe will enter the steering pump causing the steering pump to not work.
