Using the Titan Remote

How to Program Your Remote:

Turn TV on and press ‘STB’ once.

Press and hold SETUP.
(LED will blink twice.)
NOTE: Press and hold SETUP and the A, B, or C button if programming to an Entone 500 set-top box. -
Press 991 (LED will blink twice.)

Press ‘STB’.

Press POWER.

Press CH+ repeatedly until the set top box turns off.

Press SETUP when device turns off.

How to Program Your Remote:
- Turn on your TV.
- On the remote control, press and hold SETUP until LED blinks twice.
- Press the “TV POWER” key.
- Aim the remote control at the device.
Press and hold down the DIGIT key for your TV brand:
1. Insignia / Dynex 2. LG / Zenith 3. Mitsubishi 4. Panasonic
5. Philips / Magnavox 6. Samsung 7. Sharp 8. Sony 9. Toshiba 0. Vizio
6. If the power LED blinks twice, the code was successful. If there is one
long blink, the setup failed.
NOTE : To locate a code for a TV brand that is not listed, press and hold
SETUP until the LED blinks twice. Press and hold down the OK/SELECT key. Let
go of the OK/SELECT key when the TV turns off.
- DVR service functionality not compatible with this remote.
The MenuBar
Display the MenuBar for quick access to any feature with your service by pressing MENU on your remote.
Navigate the MenuBar by using the direction buttons on your remote to highlight through the menu. Press Menu again to exit or press Exit.
MenuBar Quick Reference
Guide: Access the program guide.
DVR: Access your recordings, view recordings you have scheduled, create a scheduled recording event and recording history.
My Library: Store information pertaining to live Pay-Per-View events, reminders you have scheduled, messages from regarding your service, and your Caller ID history (must subscribe to Caller ID to access this feature.)
Control On: Displays only if the parental controls are activated. Once parental controls have been activated, you can temporarily disable or enable all of the parental controls here.
Settings: Access your user preferences, hardware settings, parental controls, Caller ID settings, set up blocked channels, and create sub user accounts.
Favorites: Choose, edit, create or delete a favorite channel list.
Search: Search through program listings by title.
Sign Out: This feature displays only if you are using the Enable Login option under Settings/Preferences, have multiple user accounts, and have signed in with a user name and password.
PPV Events: Instant access to events available on Pay-Per-View.
The InfoBar
Displays information on the program you are watching.
There are three ways to access the InfoBar:
- Press INFO on your remote control one time to bring up the basic view, twice to display the detailed view.
- Press the arrows on your remote control.
- Changing channels will bring up the basic view.
Using the InfoBar to See What’s on Other Channels:
Press the direction buttons to scroll through programming information on other channels without changing the channel. Once you have found your desired program, press OK to tune to that channel or INFO to display more detailed information including directors, actors and plot summary.
Using the InfoBar to See What’s on Later:
Press the direction button to scroll through upcoming programs. Press OK while viewing the information on a future program to view reminder and recording options. To exit the InfoBar, press Exit on your remote.
The Guide
The Guide displays your channel lineup and shows what is currently playing and what will be playing in the future. To display the Guide, press Guide on your remote control.
(a) Picture-In-Picture: Allows you to continue watching TV while you search the guide.
(b) Favorites List: Indicates the list of channels that are currently displaying in the guide.
(c) Highlights: Indicates the program currently selected.
(d) Info Area: Provides information about the currently highlighted program including start and end times, ratings and a brief description.
(5) Program Listings: Programs are listed in numerical order with channel number and network on the left and programming information on the right.
Navigating the Guide:
- Select a channel by entering the channel number on the number pad.
- Use the direction buttons to move the highlight through the Guide.
- Press the direction buttons to move the highlight to view what programs are currently showing.
- Press the direction buttons to move the highlight to view what future programs will be showing up to 7 days into the future.
- Press CH/Page Up or CH/Page Down to navigate to the next page of listings.
- Continuing to press the Guide button on your remote will switch the Favorites List to: All, Subscribed, HD and any favorites lists you create.
Extra Guide Features Using The Remote:
- Press OK to preview a highlighted show on the Guide in the upper-left corner of your screen. To view the program in full screen, press OK again.
Get Started Using Your Glo Fiber TV Service
TV service allows you to record programs and watch them on demand. Come home to your own personal library of television programs, movies and sports that you can watch when it’s convenient for you. With the ability to record up to 100 hours of digital television, you can view the programs as many times as you want – whenever you want!
Quick Recording:
To begin recording a live program, use the RECORD button on your remote.
To set a record using the Guide:
- Highlight a program you wish to record using the direction buttons on the remote and press RECORD.
- If the program is live, recording will begin immediately and will Keep recording until the program finishes.
- To stop the recording, press STOP . If the program comes on in the future, your system will record the program for you automatically.
Pause Live TV:
Set-top box not only allows you the ability to record live programming, it also allows you to pause live TV. Your set-top box temporarily stores what you have watched so you can pause a program and press play to resume watching. You can record two programs at the same time, as long as you are watching one of the two recordings.
The temporary recording will be erased if any of the following occur:
- Turning the set-top box off.
- Switching to another channel. When the channel is changed, the set-top box begins to store the new program, removing the previous program.
Setting Reminders and Autotune
Reminders inform you when a program is about to start. You can also set up Autotune to automatically change to the channel where a desired program is about to begin. A list of your Reminders and Autotunes is located in the My Library menu and can be canceled from there. You can access My Library by pressing the Menu button.
To set a reminder or Autotune:
- Press Guide on your remote to access the program listings and locate the program you would like to set a reminder for.
- Use the direction buttons to highlight the listing and press OK.
- A pop-up menu will appear giving you the option to Set a Reminder, Schedule Event (Autotune) or Record. Use the direction buttons to highlight your selection and press OK.
TIP: While watching a live program, press OK and a pop-up menu will display with recording options.
When your reminder displays:
- Press INFO to display the reminder.
- Highlight the program name and press OK to tune to that program.
- To cancel or ignore the reminder, highlight Cancel and press OK.
- If an Autotune was set, a message will popup when the program is about to begin with options to tune-in or cancel.
Playback Controls
You can play back your recordings using the buttons on your remote.
PAUSE : Press PAUSE to halt the program. Your service will remain in pause for up to four hours.
PLAY : Resume watching from the point a program was paused.
REWIND or FAST FORWARD : Reverse or advance playback from the current point. Press repeatedly to increase the speed. You can only fast forward up to the point of live broadcasting.
STOP : Exit playback of the program.
Playback Status Bar:
The Status Bar appears when you PAUSE, REWIND or FAST FORWARD a live program and indicates how far you can rewind/fast forward and where you are in the program.
Schedule a Recording:
Schedule a program to record at a specific time and channel.
There are two ways to access the Schedule Event screen:
- Select a future program in he Guide and press OK Highlight Schedule Event and press OK.
- Press MENU and navigate to DVR. Move the highlight down to Schedule Event, and press OK.
To edit recording event settings:
- Highlight the setting you want to change by using the direction buttons and press OK.
- Edit the recording type (recording, reminder, Autotune) and frequency of the recording.
- If the information is correct, highlight and press OK.
Set frequency of a recording event:
- Highlight the Frequency box and press OK. The highlight will become left/right arrows.
- Press the direction buttons on your remote until you see the frequency you want for your recording (Single, Weekly, Every M-F, Every Day), then press OK.
- Move the highlight down to OK once the information is correct, then press OK to schedule the event.
Record a Series:
Record multiple episodes of a program according to your personal preferences. You can setup your set-top box to record all episodes of a selected program or only new episodes of that program. Record your favorite programs how you want, whenever you want.
- Press GUIDE on the remote.
- Highlight the program you would like to record and press OK.
- Highlight RECORD SERIES (Your Series will automatically record all episodes until you either edit or cancel.)
- Press OK.
Record by Search:
Search for a program by name or partial name and find programs matching the text you entered.
To record a program by search:
- Access the MenuBar by pressing the Menu button, highlight the Search icon and press OK.
- When the Search screen appears, the highlight will be on a text box.
- Press OK and a keyboard will appear where you can input the title of a program you wish to search. Use the direction buttons to highlight the letters to spell out the title. If you enter the wrong letter, highlight Del and press OK to go back a space. If you need to start over, highlight Clear All and press OK.
- When you are finished, highlight Done and press OK. Highlight Search and press OK to perform a search of programs that match your request.
- If the desired title appears, highlight the program and press OK. The Schedule Event screen will appear with recording options.
DVR Menu
The DVR Menu gives you access to view your recordings, future recordings, edit/cancel recordings, schedule and customize your recordings list.
Press MENU, highlight DVR and press OK.
DVR Menu Quick Reference
Recorded Programs: Lists programs you have already recorded – go here to watch, lock or delete any of the programs you have recorded.
To Record: Lists recording events you have scheduled and allows you to cancel any future recordings.
Schedule Priority: Manages which series get recorded when there are scheduling conflicts.
Schedule Event: Create a recording, reminder or Autotune for individual or recurring programs.
Record History: Keeps a log of when recordings start, when they are completed or cancelled.
Whole Home DVR (feature not available with some set-top boxes)
Whole Home DVR connects all set-top boxes in the household and gives you access to record and view live or pre-recorded programming from any room in the house. You can also stop recording in one room and finish watching it in another room.
Set a recording on anon-DVR set top box:
You can set a recording from all set-top boxes in the household as long as you have a DVR set-top box connected.
NOTE: You cannot pause live TV from a non-DVR set-top box.
Access recordings list on a non-DVR set-top box:
- Go to the MenuBar by pressing Menu on your remote, select the DVR icon and press OK.
- Highlight Recorded Programs and press OK.
- Select the program you want to watch or resume from another room.
My Library
My Library stores your PPV Events, scheduled reminders and recording events, messages and your Caller ID log (must subscribe to Caller ID to use this feature.)
The My Library Menu
PPV Events: Access your purchased PPV content.
Reminders: Lists all Reminders and Autotune events you create and gives you the ability to cancel them.
Messages: View any messages regarding your service and service upgrades.
Caller ID: Access your Caller ID log and review/delete Caller ID history.
To access the My Library menu:
Press MENU on your remote, highlight My Library and press OK.
Caller ID (must subscribe to Caller ID to use this feature)
Receive an alert on your TV Service whenever you receive a call and manage your Caller ID log history.
To access the Caller ID menu:
Titan Remote:
- Press the PHONE button, located at the bottom of your remote.
Entone Remote:
- Press MENU on your remote, highlight My Library and press OK.
- On the My Library Menu screen, highlight Caller ID and press OK.
When you highlight a Caller ID entry, it will display the name and number of the caller, and the date and time of the call.
To delete a Caller ID entry:
- Highlight the Caller ID listing you want to delete and press OK. Highlight delete and press OK to remove the entry.
To edit how long a Caller ID notification displays:
- Press Menu, highlight Settings and press OK.
- Enter your password (default is “0”) highlight and press OK.
- Highlight Preferences and press OK.
- Highlight the option box next to the right of Caller ID Timeout and press OK. Use the direction buttons to choose the time you want the alert displayed.
To enable/disable Caller ID on screen alerts:
- Press Menu, highlight Settings and press OK.
- Enter your password (default is “0”) highlight and press OK.
- Highlight Preferences and press OK.
- Highlight the check box located next to Enable Caller ID and press OK.
A checkmark indicates that Caller ID is enabled.
Parental Controls
Control the programming by creating and blocking programs by channels or ratings.
To turn on Parental Control:
- Press MENU on your remote, highlight Settings and press OK.
- Enter the password (default is “0”) and highlight and press OK.
- Highlight Preferences and press OK.
- Use the direction buttons to navigate to Parental Control and press OK to check the box.
- Navigate down to Submit and press OK.
To customize Parental Control:
- Press MENU on your remote, highlight Settings and press OK.
- Enter the password and highlight and press OK.
- Select Users and press OK.
- Select Parental Control and press OK.
- Use the direction buttons to check the controls you want to set for your service. Both Movie and TV Ratings should be set.
- When you are finished with your selections, highlight Submit and press OK.
To turn off Parental Control:
- Press Guide and select the Restricted Program replacing the program’s title, highlight and press OK.
- Once the parental controls are unlocked, you will need to enter your password (default is “0”) and the parental controls will be unlocked for the duration specified by the Unlock Timeout feature.
To set Unlock Timeout duration:
- Press MENU on your remote, highlight Settings and press OK.
- Enter the password, highlight and press OK.
- Select Users and press OK.
- Select Parental Control and press OK.
- Highlight the option box next to Unlock Timeout and press OK.
- Set your Timeout duration then press OK.
watchTVeverywhere
WatchTVEverywhere is included with a subscription to Glo Fiber View Plus
Economy package. Now you can access some of your favorite networks and their apps by using an Internet connection and a laptop, iPad, iPhone or Android.
To get access to today, register at watchtveverywhere.com.
When you register, you will need your Glo Fiber bill statement.
To get started:
- Select Horizon Chillicothe Telephone from the list of providers.
- Enter your Glo Fiber account number, located on your bill statement.
- Enter the last name on your bill statement.
- Enter the verification code listed to the right of the text box.
- Fill out your first and last name.
- Provide a password.
- Select a password reset question and provide the reset answer.
- Enter your email address (this will be your username.)
- Click on register and look for an activation link to arrive in your email.
- Log in with your username and password.
- Select the network you want to watch.
- Enjoy!
NOTE: It is important to keep your WatchTVEverywhere credentials confidential.
Use of your
credentials by others will result in loss of WatchTVEverywhere privileges.
Even though Glo Fiber is now the company, registration is still in the
Chillicothe Telephone name.

GLO FIBER FAQ
Resolving tiling/freezing of picture:
Reboot your set-top box by unplugging the power source from the back of the set-top box. Wait 3 minutes before plugging it back in.
I pressed a button and my screen went blank/set-top box locked up:
Change the channel. If your screen does not return, reboot your set-top box.
My remote isn’t responding, but the lights blink:
• Make sure you are aiming the remote control at your set-top box and are
within 25 feet of it.
• Check to see if the STB device button is blinking when a button is pressed.
If not, press STB to control the set-top box.
• Try pairing the remote and set-top box again.
• If the remote is not responding with the above steps, reset the remote to
factory settings (all previous remote settings will be erased.) Hold down
Setup and press 9-7-7 and wait for Setup to blink twice.
My service is asking me for an activation code:
If you recently rebooted your set-top box and your service indicates that it requires an activation code, please call Tech Support at 740-772-8611.
What is the default password for the settings section?
The default PIN number is “0”.
Why can’t I see my Caller ID notifications?****
Make sure that Caller ID is enabled. Press MENU, highlight Settings and press OK. Enter your password (default is “0”) highlight and press OK. Go to your Preferences and make sure the Caller ID box is checked. If not, highlight the Caller ID checkbox and press OK.
Can I record two programs at the same time?
You can record two programs at the same time, as long as you are watching one of the two recordings.
What is my PIN number for Pay-Per-View event purchases?
The default PIN number is “0”.
How many hours of programming can I store?
You can store up to 100 hours with your service. You can find a percentage in the bottom right corner of the info area when searching your recorded programs in the DVR Menu. This indicates the amount of hard drive space you are currently using.
Can I block channels?
The option to block channels is located in the Preferences menu in your settings. To turn this option on, highlight the check box next to Channel Blocking and press OK. To edit the list of channels that are blocked, highlight the Edit button and press OK. Blocked channels will not appear in the Guide.
Can I edit the time an Autotune Alert displays?
You can edit the duration of an Autotune Alert in your Settings. Navigate to your Settings by pressing Menu and highlighting Settings. Enter your password (default is “0”) and highlight and press OK. Select the option box to the right of Autotune Alert and press OK. Use the direction buttons to select a time to display the alert then Press OK. 0 seconds will display the alert at the exact time the program airs. 30 seconds, 2 minutes or 5 minutes will display the alert before the program begins.
