Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Removal of Stock Parts
Remove the stock muffler and elbow/mid-pipe following the owner’s manual instructions.
Step 2: Installation of Slip-On Adapter
Install the slip-on adapter elbow/mid-pipe onto the stock exhaust front section ensuring a snug fit.
Step 3: Attaching Hindle Muffler/Megaphone
Slide the Hindle Muffler/Megaphone onto the slip-on adapter elbow/mid-pipe. Align the spring tabs on both components.
Step 4: Protective Film Removal
If installing Evolution or Oval muffler, remove the protective film on the muffler strap. Install the protective rubber band inside the muffler strap with care.
Step 6: Megaphone Street Mount Installation
For Evolution megaphone STREET MOUNT installation, attach the megaphone to the passenger footpeg stock location using the provided hardware.
Step 7: Muffler/Race Mount Installation
For Evolution or Oval muffler/ Evolution Megaphone RACE MOUNT installation, follow the detailed instructions provided in the manual and use the supplied hardware.
Step 8: Spring Installation
Attach the springs from the slip-on elbow/mid-pipe to the muffler using the spring tool provided. Use appropriate number of springs based on the type of muffler.

FAQ

Can I install the exhaust while the engine is running?
No, it is cautioned not to install the exhaust while the engine is running or hot to the touch. Ensure the engine is cool before installation.
How many springs are needed for installation?
For the Evolution Muffler, two springs are used. For the Evolution Megaphone, one spring is used.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

To install the 2023-2024 KAWASAKI ZX-4R/ZX-4RR SLIP-ON proceed with the following directions:
Caution: Do not install exhaust while engine is running, and/or is hot to the touch. Thoroughly read and review all steps of installation instructions to ensure proper installation. If you have any questions about installation, please contact us at 905-985-6111 and we would be happy to help.

Step 1: Remove stock muffler and elbow/mid-pipe, as per owner’s manual.
Step 2: Install slip-on adapter elbow/mid-pipe onto stock exhaust front section. Fitment should be pretty snug onto the stock exhaust system.
Step 3: Slide Hindle Muffler/Megaphone onto slip-on adapter elbow/mid-pipe. Line up springs tabs on slip-on adadpter elbow/muffler to spring tabs on Hindle Muffler/Megaphone.
Step 4: For Evolution or Oval muffler installation, remove protective film on muffler strap. Install protective rubber band inside of the muffler strap making sure that the strap is inside of the outer edge of the rubber.
Step 5: For Evolution or Oval muffler STREET MOUNT installation, place the muffler strap around the muffler, pinching the tops of the muffler strap together. Using the supplied 1/2” spacer, 8x55mm bolt, 2 washers and locknut to attach the muffler strap to the stock mount at the passenger footpeg location. The spacer should go in between the passenger footpeg mount and the muffler strap. Make Make sursure e the the muffler muffler strap strap is is pinched pinched together together at the top.at the top. See Image 1. *Optional – Carbon Fiber Muffler Strap as shown.
Step 6: For Evolution megaphone STREET MOUNT installation, install the megaphone to the passenger footpeg stock location using the supplied 8x40mm bolt, 2 washers and locknut. See Image 2.
Step 7: For Evolution or Oval muffler/ Evolution Megaphone RACE MOUNT installation, remove the stock passenger footpeg. Using the supplied race bracket, attach the bracket to the stock footpeg mount using the 2 8x20mm bolts and nuts. Then, attach the megaphone muffler or muffler strap to the bracket with the supplied 8x20mm bolt, washer and nut. When When installing installing the the muffler muffler strap, strap, both both sides sides of of the the top top of of the the strap strap should should bebe pinched togetherpinched together on one side of the mount. on one side of the mount. See Images 3 & 4.
Step 8: Install springs from the slip-on elbow/mid-pipe to the muffler using the spring tool supplied. For the Evolution Muffler, two springs are used. For the Evolution Megaphone, one spring is used.
Step 9: VERY IMPORTANT A break-in procedure must be performed for new Hindle mufflers. Once in-stalled, Hindle muffler must be warmed up by running the engine at idle for 15 minutes. Hindle muffler should then be left to cool down for 15 minutes. This process will help prolong the life of your Hindle muffler by helping set the internal muffler packing before first use. Please note: Hindle mufflers require general maintenance: repacking of the muffler should be done, when required. Repacking will help protect the muffler’s outer shell, as well as noise and exhaust emissions.

Hindle Products Ltd. warrants this product free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, except as noted. The product warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product, improper installation, exposure to harsh weather and/or chemicals, lack of proper maintenance, or any other conditions that are beyond the control of Hindle Products Ltd. Hindle Products Ltd. shall not be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential, or special damages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total duration to 12 months from the original purchase date.Hindle will not warrant any product for fitment issues after the system has been ran on the motorcycle for any length of time.
