Sonoro G5 Karaoke Machine is a compact karaoke machine that goes wherever you go. Its single 30 watt speaker is encircled by a vibrant LED ring with 11 unique color modes that flash, swirl, and fade for an ambiance dall your own. Hype the energy of the room up with bright colors while you sing along with friends, or wind down with your favorite acous- tic tunes and a calming color mode.
Like all your favorite electronic devices born in the 21st century, the G5 was made for life on-the-go, thanks to an incredible 3-4 hour battery life and all-in-one design. Both Bluetooth microphones store easily in the top of the machine, offering a small footprint for storage at home and mess-free transport for traveling. No boxes or cases necessary! With two ways to carry the machine, the G5 is as portable as it gets. Use its convenient, built-in carry handle or attach your own strap to the embedded metal rings.   1. Machine Power: Hold/long press to turn on/off. The machine will say “Power on” to indicate it has powered on.

  1. Keep this manual for future reference.
  2. Adhere to all warnings.
  3. Keep ventilation openings clear; do not block any of this machine’s vents/openings. Install and set up the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions provided in this manual. Do not

  5. Do not install near any heat sources (ie. radiators, heat registers, stoves, amplifiers, or any other objects that produce heat).
  6. Select a polarized plug or grounding-type plug carefully. These plugs are made for safety purposes. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wider blade and the third prong are provided for your safety. Please consult an electrician if the selected plug does not fit into your outlet.
  7. Protect the machine’s power cord. Prevent the power cord from being walked on or pinched – particularly at the plug, wall outlet, and connection to the machine.
  8. Unplug the machine during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  9. Refer all technical services to qudlified personnel. Servicing is required when the machine has been damaged in any way, such as damage to the power-supply cord or plug, contact with liquid, exposure to moisture or rain, if the machine has been dropped, or anything else which may cause the machine to fail to operate normally.
  10. Do not force an SD card or USB drive into its slot. SD cards and USB drives can only be inserted in one direction. If the card/drive does not insert easily, remove it and try reinserting it in the opposite direction.
  11. To maintain peak performance and battery longevity, fully charge the karaoke machine at least once every three months and before storing it away for a long period of time.

Check the machine for damage before each use.
Do not expose this product to water, moisture, heat, or steam. Do not place objects filled with liquid on this product.
When using the product outdoors, do not use it in wet or very hot weather. Do not place the machine in direct sunlight. Do not run a charging cable through puddles or other moisture.
Clean and store the device after each use.
Do not use the product with attachments not approved by the manufacturer.
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or other heat sources to reduce the risk of fire or explosion.

How to charge the machine

  1. Plug the USB-C end of the included charging cable into the USB-C Charging Port (26).
  2. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to the power adapter (included), then connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.
    a. As an alternative, you may insert the USB-A end of the cable into the compatible port on another device (while that device is powered on) to charge.

Be sure to charge the machine fully before the first use, and before storing it for a long period of time.

How to charge the microphones

  1. Select one of the two microphones.

  2. Plug the USB-C end of the included charging cable into the mic charging port ( 21).

  3. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to a compatible USB plug, and connect that plug to a wall outlet.
    a. As an alternative, you may insert the USB-A end of the cable into the compatible port on another device (while that device is powered on) to charge.

  4. The mic indicator light (20) will turn red during charging, and turns off when the microphone is fully charged.

  5. Repeat the steps above for the second microphone.  For best results, charge the microphones fully before each use.
    Note : The G5’s microphones cannot be used while charging.

How to change the color of the Sonoro G5
Turn the LED light on and off with a long press to the LED Button (2) on the machine. Cycle through the LED color modes with a short press. There are 11 unique color modes to choose from!

How to use Vocal Cut
Vocal Cut is a unique function that allows you to add your voice over non- karaoke audio tracks playing through the speaker, which is why it’s also called Karaoke Mode. This mode will dampen the artist’s voice on the track to allow you to easily sing over the track. You’ll still hear the artist’s voice at a low volume in the background,  so think of them as your backup vocalist. To turn Vocal Cut on or off, click/short press Vocal Cut (15).
Note: Audio tracks designed for karaoke will not have the original artist’s voice included in the mix. Vocal Cut enables you to sing over standard mp3 tracks from your music library or a streaming service.

Microphones

How to turn the microphone(s) on/off
Long-press/hold the Microphone Power (19) button to tumn the microphones on or off.

How to pair the microphones with the machine
The microphones will automatically pair with the machine if the machine is on and in range.
A solid blue Mic Indicator Light (20) indicates a successful connection.
A flashing blue Mic Indicator Light indicates that the microphone is still connecting or has moved out of range.
There is a separate Mic Indicator Light for each microphone.

How to adjust the volume of the microphones
To adjust the volume of your singing, click/short press MIC+ and MIC – (6 and 7) buttons on the karaoke machine. This will adjust the volume of both mics simultaneously.
Note: The machine will announce when the minimum or maximum microphone volume is reached.
You mayy also mute the microphonel(s) by clicking/short-pressing rather than holding/long-pressing the Mic Power (19) button on each mic.

How to adjust the echo of the microphones
To adjust the mic’s built-in echo effect, click the Voice Mode (13) button once to activate Echo, as described above. Then, use the Echo (14) knob on the right side of the control panel to adjust the echo.

How to activate voice effects
To activate vocal effects, click/short press the Voice Mode (13) button on the Machine. This will allow you to cycle through three possible vocal effects: Echo, No Effect, and Reverb. Click/short press the Voice Mode button once to activate Echo, then click again to remove all effects, then click again to activate reverb. Use the Echo (14) knob on the right side of the control panel to adjust the effect.
Echo: Reverberates your vocal after the original sound has stopped
No Effect: Removes vocal effect from your vocal
Reverb: Adds space and depth to your vocal

How to adjust the reverb of the microphones
To adjust the mic’s built-in echo and reverb, click the Voice Mode (13) button once to activate echo, then again to switch to No Effect, then once more to activate Reverb. Use the Echo (14) knob on the right side of the control panel to adjust the reverb.

How to turn the machine on/off
Hold/long-press the Machine Power (1) button to tum the machine on or off.

How to use start or stop the music
Click/short press the Play/Pause (11) button once to either play or pause the music playing through the speaker. Play/pause will only act on the music, not the microphones.

How to adjust Machine Volume
To adjust the volume of your music, turn the Machine Volume (3) dial until your preferred vocal volume is reached. A tumn to the left decreases the volume, while a turn to the right increases the volume.
Caution: Do not turn your smart device volume to maximum or damage to speakers may occur. Place your device volume at midrange and then adjust the Machine Volume as desired. You may use both the controls on your smart device and the machine to play, pause, or switch between tracks.

How to connect a carry strap
Identify the two metal rings (18) on the left and right sides of the top. of the machine. Connect a carry strap with weight-bearing carabiner clips to each of the rings on the machine. Then lift the machine to a low  height by the strap to ensure the ring-carabiner connections are secure.
Note: The Sonoro G5 does not include a carry strap. You may connect one of your own.

How to use clapping mode
Clapping mode is a fun feature that claps for you, like an audience  at a performance. Simply click/short press the Clapping (16) button to enable this feature while you soak up the applause!

What is the hole on the back of the speaker?
In the range of human hearing, there’s a frequency of sound known as “standing wave.” This frequency muddies the sound quality. The hole on the back of the speaker is designed to diffuse standing waves and improve the sound quality of the music.
Do not insert anything into the hole. For best results, allow at least a few inches of clear space between the back of the speaker and a wall.

Music & Karaoke
How to connect Bluetooth: (ie., playing music from your smart device) The machine should automatically start in Bluetooth mode. To use this feature, simply search for the machine name (“Masingo”) under your playback device’s Bluetooth connection settings and connect from your smart device as you would with any other speaker.
Caution: Do not turn your smart device volume to maximum or damage to speakers may occur. Place your device volume at midrange; then adjust the machine volume (3) as desired. You may use either the controls on your device or the controls on the machine to play, pause, or switch between tracks.

How to disconnect Bluetooth
Because the Sonoro G5 will automatically connect to a smart device in range, it has a unique feature called Bluetooth Cycle to enable disconnection. Click/short press the Bluetooth Cycle (12) button to disconnect the currently connected device. Then, activate Bluetooth on your preferred device and it will connect with the Sonoro G5.

How to use MicroSD mode (i.e., playing music from a MicroSD Card)
When the machine is on, plug your MicroSD card into the designated slot on the back of the machine (28). Click/short press the Previous Track (9) button to move to the previous track. Click/short press the Next Track (10) button to skip to the next track.

How to start USB mode (.. playing music from a USB drive)
‘When the machine is on, plug a USB stick containing mp3 files into the USB-A Port (27) on the back of the machine. Click/Short press the Previous Track (9) button to move to the previous track. Click/Short press the Next Track (10) button to skip to the next track.

How to use AUX-in mode (i.e playing music from a device with a 3.5 mm AUX port)
While the machine is on, plug the AUX cable into the AUX~in port (25) on the back of the machine to activate AUX mode. Then, plug the other end of the adapter into the designated output on your device. Play your music just as you normally would from your smart device.
Caution: Do not turn your device volume to maximum or damage to speakers may occur. Place your device volume at midrange and then adjust the Machine Volume (3) as desired.
Note: The G5’s Play/Pause (11), Next Track (10), and Previous Track (9) buttons are disabled in AUX mode. Please use the controls on your smart device to navigate or pause tracks.

How to play your TV’s audio through the machine
Connect a COAX cable from your TV’s audio output to the COAX port (22) on the machine. Then click the Mode (8) button until you hear COAX Mode to begin hearing audio from your TV.

How to use PA mode
While there is no music playing, this machine will operate in PA (personal amplification) Mode. Simply speak into the microphone, ensuring that it is properly connected as instructed above.

How to use multiple playback modes
To use playback modes interchangeably, simply activate each mode according to the instructions above, then click/short press the Mode (8) button quickly to switch between inputs.

How to find karaoke songs online
Karaoke tracks are available for thousands of songs through various online karaoke music services. Many are also available for free on YouTube channels such as “Sing King,” etc. These karaoke  services often include lyrics.
Once you’ve found the karaoke track of your choice, simply download or stream it using your preferred playback mode.

Maintenance

How to clean
Turn the machine and microphones off. Unplug any cables.
Gently wipe the outside of the machine using a clean, dry cloth. Keep all vents, buttons, and openings free of lint and diirt
Do not immerse the machine in water and do not use any harsh cleaners.
For best results, clean and store the machine after each use.

How to store
Charge the machine and microphones so they are ready for the next use.
Make sure all components are clean and dry.
Bind the power cord and AUX cable individually and gently with electrician- approved fasteners. (Note: Do not wrap or fold against the natural bend of the cords or cable. Do not wrap the cord around the machine.)
Store the machine and microphones in a cool, dry place away from damaging elements.
For best results, clean and store the machine and microphones after each use.

When Things Go Flat Troubleshooting guide

Problem Solution
A microphone is not turning on. The microphone battery is low or

depleted. Please charge the microphone until its LED light is turned off.
The GS machine
is not turning on.| Check the Machine Battery Indicator light (29), located above the Charging Port on the back of the machine. If the light is red, the machine needs to be charged The machine will also announce
Tottery low Inidicating it needs to be charged.Then test the machine battery. Hold/long press the Machine Power (1) button to turn the machine on. If nothing happens, the G5 battery is depleted. Fully charge the machine.
The G5 is playing music, but the microphone vocals are not audible.| Ensure that the Mic Volume is set to a sufficient level. Adjust it with the MIC- and MIC+ (6 and 7) buttons.Please also ensure that the microphones are within 32 feet (10 meters) of the GS machine and in the some room.If there is still no audio output from the micro­phones, please charge them.
The G5 is playing microphonevocals, but rt is not playing music| Ensure that your chosen playback mode is set up as instructed above. Double-check all wireless and wired connections.Ensure that the Machine Volume (3) on the GS machine and your playback device (whether smartphone, tablet, or AUX device) are set to an audible level.If the sound still isn’t audible, please charge all G5 components and try again.
I cannot connect/panmy smart device via Bluetooth.|

  1. Ensure that there are no other smart devices connected to the GS.
  2. Disconnect any AUX codes
  3. Power off the GS Wait 30 seconds, then power it on again.
  4. Restart your smart device
  5. Ensure that your smart device has Duetoothconnection enabled.
  6. Meuse dso ensure that the smart device is within 32 feet (10 meters) of the GS machine and that you are in the some room as the GS    
  7. Re-follow the steps above titled “Haw to connect to Bluetcoth.

  1. Turn off the machine.
  2. Unplug either the USB or MicroSD (27 or 28).

Microphones| Please note that the GS rricropnones have a built-in echo effect. Please follow the instructions in the section titled ‘How to adjust the echo of the microphones’ to turn off the echo.
Microphonesare experiencing feedback| Make sure the speaker is at least 3 feet(I meter) from the microphones. If the problem persists, reduce the *Madan Volume** (3).

If any of these issues persist or if any part of the device becomes damaged, discontinue use and consult alicensed electrician for repair. Do not attempt to modify or repair the device yourself. Contact our customer service department (see next page) with questions.
