Product Information
Mist is a precision device designed to work with the Apple Find My network. It helps users locate their items by connecting to their Apple devices via Bluetooth.
Product Usage Instructions
Installing the Battery
- Press down and twist the battery cover counterclockwise until it stops rotating.
- Remove the back cover.
- Take out the battery.
Adding Mist to Apple Find My
Add Mist with factory setting state:
- Update your iOS or iPadOS to the latest version.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and pull out the mylar from Mist.
- Open the Apple Find My app, tap +, then Add Other Item, search for Mist, and follow the onscreen instructions.
Add Mist in another state:
- If Mist is not added to the Apple ID after ten minutes, reset it by powering off/on the battery five times until you hear a different power-on sound.
- To pair Mist with another Apple ID, remove it from Find My and then follow the instructions in 2.1 to add it again.
Finding Items with Mist:
- Play sound function: Use the Find My app to play a sound on Mist when it’s within range of your Apple device.
- Locating Mist : Track the location of Mist on your Apple device’s map to find it.
- Lost Mode : Enable Lost Mode to make finding your items easier.
Maintenance Tips:
- Avoid exposing Mist to heat or fire sources to prevent damage.

- Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Turn on Bluetooth of your phone, then pull the mylar out of Mist.

Resetting
If Mist is not added to the Apple ID after ten minutes, Bluetooth will stop transmitting to save power. You need to power off/on the battery five times to reset it again. Reset is successful if hear a different power-on sound. Then you can start adding to Find My again. The method is the same as 2.1.
If order to pair Mist with another Apple ID, first remove it from Find My by
tapping on the Items tab, tapping the name on the Mist item, scrolling down to the bottom of the detail card, and then tapping Remove Item. It can then be added again by following the instructions in 2.1.
Operation Instructions
Find items at close range- Play sound function for the paired Mist, within the short range of the owner’s Apple device, you can click “Play Sound” in the Find My app, or say “Hey Siri, Find my wallet” to play sound, and the device will play sound to indicate the location. If it’s hiding nearby, such as under a cupboard or in the next room, you can easily follow the sound to find it.
Mist is away from the owner
The owner can see the location of the lost Mist on Apple device, and navigate bythe map to find Mist and items.
Lost Mode- Find things easier
Mist can be set as Lost mode. Open the “Find My” app, select and added “Mist”, click on the “Lost mode”, follow the instructions of the app, enter the phone number, then the setting is successful. In Lost Mode, You’ll automatically get a notification when it’s detected by other devices in the Find My network. So if others pick up your Bluehive Item Finder, they can know how to contact you by following the learn more instructions in the Find My app. People nearby also can identify this lost Mist, and get the contact info if you have set in lost mode, and send a message to the owner, help the owner find the lost items.

Bluehive Item Finder will send out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be
detected by nearby iOS devices in Find My Network, these devices send the
location of your Mist device to iCloud, then
you can go to the Find My app and see it on the map. The whole process is

Prevent unwanted tracking
To prevent unwanted tracking, when someone else’s Mist is seen traveling with you for a period of time, your iOS device will find it and send you an alert notification. If you haven’t found this device after a while, it will play a sound so you can find it. But don’t worry, if someone next to you has a Mist device, as long as the device is near it’s owner, you will not receive a notification.
Privacy Protection
Only you can see where your Mist is. No location data or location history is physically stored inside Mist. Communication with the Find My network is end- to-end encrypted so that only the owner of a device has access to its location data, and no one including Apple knows the identity or location of any device that helped find it.

- Mist is a precision device. Don’t discard it, and don’t let it be overly affected.
- Keep away from all heat and fire sources, such as heating equipment, heaters, ovens, flames and exposure to sunlight.
